Chapter 3 Part One: You Did It Again

YuanLi POV:

I woke up in an empty bed, Keye wasn't there. I quickly got changed into a new set of clothes. Today was going to be a long workday, we were probably going to work all the way till 9 pm. I grabbed my phone and placed it inside my white leather backpack. Threw my headphones, charger, charger pack, and my other necessities. I went to the bathroom and cleaned myself up. I ran to the elevator to see Keye and YuJun there chatting with one another.

"Moring, Keye, and YuJun," I smiled before putting on my black face mask.

"Morning Yuan," Keye said.

"Morning, Yuan Ge," YuJun said softly. Am I that scary? The elevator opened and we all went down to the first floor, out the building, and arrived at where all the cars were at. "Keye, can I sit in the same car as you?" YuJun asked.

"I don't know if we have enough seats though. Maybe I'll ask BoXu if he's willing to change spots with you for the day." BoXu walked out of the building and stood next to me.

"Morning YuanLi! Oh and good morning to YuJun and Keye!"

"Morning," Keye and YuJun both greeted BoXu.

"BoXu, can you switch seats with YuJun just for today?"

"Oh sure, I'll get going now, YuJun's car arrives to the company earlier than ours, and YuanLi, I'll text you!" BoXu said. I watched him run off and I looked at the other two. I quickly went into the car and sat where I usually sat.

"YuanLi Ge, could I sit next to Keye for today?" YuJun asked.

"Okay," I said before I went to sit where BoXu would usually sit. I grabbed my phone out and opened WeChat.

"Bo Ge, you really had to leave me with those two."

"Sorry!!!"

"It was bad I had to see those two in the same scene again this morning."

"You didn't makeup with Keye yet?"

"I did yesterday. For the first time, he was the person who came and decided to talk."

"At least Keye learns. Sometimes he's like a kid."

"Makes you sound old, haha."

"Enough about that kid, to distract you let's talk about the music video concept we are going to shoot."

"A light and dark concept, light like in flowers and colors, while the dark part probably just black and white."

"You know the storyline for the music video?"

"Nope, I heard YuMing and XingCheng were a part of the writing of the story, text them for it!"

"Too lazy, haha."

"Not like your old bones are affecting you from texting them, haha," I laughed lightly. I looked up from my phone to realize Keye was looking at me. I quickly looked back down, "Keye looked at me, I think I laughed loud enough for him to hear me."

"Whatever, who cares about what he wants from you. It's not like he can do anything in the car. He's sweet YuJun is there, no way he's going to yell at you."

"Bo GE, never knew you were that type of man, hahaha. I thought you were fine with YuJun."

"I'm fine with him, but like sometimes I think Keye is too close to YuJun."

"Well, I don't really care about who Keye is with. He has his own friend and life. I'm just his lover, not his owner."

"Right, but YuJun is still a bit off, if he gets too close with Keye, you're going to be unhappy, and something else might happen."

"If something does happen, I'll resign, and leave." I sent a smiley emoji with the text.

"Don't joke around about that, missing you is missing a part of the group. We need a good composer like you plus your knowledge of instruments like the guitar and bass are so useful."

"You're acting like I'm only useful for those things, haha."

"What are you doing right now, Yuan?" a new text pops up on my screen.

"I'm just texting Bo Ge."

"Oh okay, can I hold your hand when we get to the music set?"

"It's out in the public."

"Awh," he sent a sad face along with the text.

"Maybe when we get off of work, it will be dark enough that no one else sees."

"Okay," he sent a happy emoji.

I looked up from my phone and looked at Keye, he had black hair, slightly creased eyelids, and brown colored eyes. He was wearing grey outerwear and a white shirt on the inside. He turned his head to face me, I think he noticed that I was staring at him.

"Yuan? Do you need anything?"

"Do you have a mint?"

"Yeah, take it," giving me a box of mints.

I took a piece out, took off my mask, and placed the mint in my mouth. I closed the box, "Keye, here," he took back the box and put it in his bag. The car finally arrived at the set, I waited for the two to get out before I would. Right as I got off I looked around for MoXue, MoXue was my best friend out of the entire group. "MoXue where are you?!!" I shouted and someone jumped behind me. "Oh, my lord-you scared me," I laughed.

"Always have a special entrance, you know me." he smiled. "Why aren't you with Keye?"

"Uhh--He's with YuJun as you can see."

"YuJun is one suspicious person. Anyways, I heard I have music video scenes with you. Glad to be working with you," he said as he put his hand out for a handshake.

I shook his hand, "Why do you have to be so extra," I laughed.

"It's just me, deal with it, you've been dealing with it for like 3 years so no excuses."

"Fine fine."

"Look over there, Keye is laughing so hard, I have never seen him so happy with someone else. I thought he only smiled with his teeth out only with you," MoXue said with an eyebrow raised.

"Whatever, let's get going and see what we are going to wear for the set," I put my hand on MoXue's shoulder.

"Yeah." We walked past Keye and YuJun. When we arrived at the set there were a bunch of different colored flowers, the set was like spring itself. "You fit this theme so well. Look at your face a little chubby and baby face, and sometimes you can pull off that cool and cold look." MoXue looked around before his eyes widen, "Keye is giving me a dead stare, what should I do?"

"Ignore him, he's always like that when I'm with you."

"Does he really think I want to take his boyfriend away? Do I look like one?"

"No?"

"Not you questioning our friendship and my reliability," he made a sad face.

"Out of everyone in the group, I'll never doubt you."

"Beat that Keye," MoXue whispered with a fist while looking at Keye.

"Don't tick off Keye, he may seem calm and cool, and all-around nice. He's the devil itself when he's mad."

After shooting the music video it was already 8 pm and the group was doing group photos and individual photos for the album. After a short break, we stood outside of the set, waiting for the cars to arrive so we could finally get back to the dorms. I overheard Keye and YuJun talking.

"Thank you for being there for me yesterday at night," YuJun said.

"No problem," Keye said before he sipped some water. So that's where he went yesterday.

"They talk a bit too loud," MoXue whispered.

"Yeah…"

"You're making that grumpy face again."

"We're done with the shoot, I'm just tired from today."

"Yeah yeah, come to my room today if you want to talk, I also have snacks if you want anything."

"I'll text you if I come."

"Okay," he said while doing the okay hand sign before leaving to get to his car. I looked at my phone and realized it was 8:52 pm. Once I got into the car and seated myself at the back, I immediately texted Keye.

"Where did you go this morning? I didn't see you next to me when I woke up."

"I just went back to my room to change," he texted back. I looked up from my phone and stared at Keye who stared back. I felt streams of tears coming down. I lifted my glasses up and wiped my tears with my sleeve.

"Yuan?" Keye whispered softly.

"Keye," I whispered. What am I to you? Once the car stopped, I waited for the two to get out then I did. My eyes were still teary, I ran straight to the dorm, the security guards opened the door. I felt someone grabbing my hand. I looked up to who it was, "Let go of me."

"Yuan, what's wrong? We can talk-"

"Let go!" I screamed.

"Yuan…"

"You did it again, is all I have to say," I said before I ran off. I immediately went to MoXue's room.
