Chapter 6: Why Do You Love Me

YuanLi Pov:

We arrived at the gates, and BoXu is standing there with MoXue. They look invested in their conversation. They didn't even realize that Keye and I arrived. "You know BoXu, since you the parent figure in the group, can you at least help YuanLi," MoXue said before taking a sip of water.

"I want to help, but you know how protective Keye is of YuJun. You know what's worse, YuJun also has XingCheng. That's two people standing for him if I suggest anything."

"My poor YuanLi, YuJun is messing with him."

"I want to help, but it would only get messier."

"Keye doesn't even protect who he should care for. I'm so done with him. He doesn't even treat my YuanLi well. My pitiful YuanLi," MoXue sighed.

I ran up to them, "You guys should stop talking. Keye looks a little bit sad and angry."

"Let him be angry! He deserves it. He keeps mistreating you. One day he will regret not grasping onto every moment with you."

"Let's not talk about it anymore," I calmed MoXue down.

"You're always standing up for him. When will he do that for you?"

"MoXue, let's stop. We don't want you and him to have an even worse relationship."

"He's just jealous that I'm best friends with you, and we share secrets he doesn't know."

"Maybe dinner will calm you down. Just in time, look, the other members are here." I watched YuJun run up to Keye. XingCheng was with MiLie, RuoYu, Xun, and WeiQi.

"Now, look, you were smiling just a second ago. Where is it now? Whenever YuJun is with Keye, the frown on your face shows." I sighed. "Keye, wouldn't be looking for you if I didn't tell him I left you at the ice cream shop."

"He gave me a bracelet," I held my hand up, showing my wrist to MoXue.

"It looks pretty nice. Finally, Keye stepped up. But still, he manages to spend more time with YuJun and not you. He posts on his social media, but how many of those pictures are with you? And you too! You never post enough. Your fans are dying from lack of content!"

"Sorry, I'll post some pictures today. I'll make sure one with them has you in it."

"Better get at least one photo with Keye."

"I know! Look, the cars are here. Get yourself seated quickly, and we can get dinner. I know you're hungry."

"Out of all the members, only you understand me the most."

"Why else? We are best of friends." I followed MoXue to the cars. Before I got in the car, I glanced at Keye, who was still chatting with YuJun. I seated myself next to MoXue. "Do you know what you might want to eat?" I buckled my seatbelt.

"I heard we're eating hotpot today. Do you want a spicy base or a light one?"

"I want something light today."

"You love spicy. What happened to the YuanLi, I know? You always told the waiter to add extra chilis and spices."

"That's back then. People change, MoXue."

"Maybe I shouldn't have signed the contract with this company. Maybe if you didn't sign it, I wouldn't have. We could be making our band with our type of music."

"Well, since we signed it, we should make the best out of it."

"Yeah yeah, let me sleep on your shoulder. I'm getting a bit tired."

"Sleep like a kid, MoXue."

"I will." MoXue laid his head on my shoulder. Minutes later, Keye, YuJun, and BoXu got in the car. I quickly closed my eyes and pretended to sleep. The car starts, but the three of them remained to talk.

"Look at the two of them, already asleep," BoXu said.

"Keye, what did you and Yuan Ge do today," YuJun asked.

"I bought him a vanilla cone and headed to somewhere special at the theme park."

"Oh."

"You guys made up?" BoXu asked.

"Sort of," Keye responds.

"Keye, you have to quickly make up with YuanLi. Every time I see him, he has a frown on his face. It's probably because of you."

"Understood, we should be quiet for the rest of the ride. Both of them are asleep. We don't want to wake them up because we are talking." I ended up sleeping during the ride. I woke up to Keye tapping on my shoulder. "Wake up, YuanLi." I opened my eyes and yawned.

"Are we here?"

"Yeah, BoXu and YuJun already went in."

"Oh, okay, you get going. I will wake up MoXue." Keye nodded his head and got out of the car. "MoXue, wake up! We are here! Dood is just one step away."

"Food?" MoXue mumbled, his eyes shot wide open. "Let's go! I'm starving!" he pushed me lightly.

We arrived at the private dining room. XingCheng sat next to YuMing, WeiQi sat on the other side of YuMing. MiLie and RuoYu sat next to one other. YuJun sat on the other side of XingCheng. Keye sat beside YuJun, the other seat beside Keye was empty. Xun sat next to BoXu. I sat next to Keye, and MoXue sat next to Xun.

"MoXue and YuanLi finally arrived! Do you guys miss your leader, or do you two want to sleep more?" YuMing smiled.

"Sorry, YuMing Ge, MoXue, and I were a bit tired after a long day at the theme park."

"No worries, I was joking. I'm going to be paying for today's meal since I got a pretty big offer today."

"Thank you!" everyone shouted.

"You guys are welcome. Pick whatever you want to eat. What bases do you guys want?"

"Spicy!" some of the members shouted.

"YuanLi and I want a light base," MoXue said.

"Oh, okay!" YuMing responded as he used a pencil to check off what we wanted on the menu. Before the food arrived, everyone was talking about the things they did at the theme park. When the food arrived, everyone started to eat their appetizer as the food in the pots was cooking.

"Here's some beef." MoXue put slices of beef in my bowl. I took a piece and ate it. MoXue looked at me like he was awaiting a response. "Does it taste good or no?"

"Delicious as always." MoXue smiled at me before he continued to cook some vegetables. I glanced at Keye, who was staring at me.

"Yuan Er, why didn't you choose to eat spicy soup base today?" Keye asked.

"I wanted something light today."

"Oh." He continued to eat a piece of meat. I don't even like spicy flavors that much anymore. I only order a spicy base when I'm with you because you love it. I can barely handle spicy food.

After a long dinner, everyone was full, and we went back to our dorms. I took a shower before I laid down on my bed. Just before I was about to fall asleep, someone knocked on my door. I got out of bed to open the door. Standing right in front of me is Keye. "Can I stay here today? I shower too."

"Come in." Keye closed the door and grabbed my hand. "What do you want?"

"I wanted to spend time with you."

"You look like a puppy who's attached to their owner." Keye sat on my bed while I'm standing.

"I'm only attached to you." He let go of my hand and hugged my waist.

"Why do you love me?"

"You may have your flaws, but in my eyes, you're perfect."

"Anything else?"

"So much more, but I'm tired. Can we sleep now?"

"Okay."
