The Lion Returns

"Rina. Be careful there. There are members of the Royal Guard at the location you are at." A voice spoke on the phone. "I can't protect you where you are. It's in your best interest to make whatever you're doing quick!"

"Yes yes Overseer. I'm gonna be quick! Stop nagging me already!" Rina said and walked around. She searched around for something and brushed her hair behind her ear then spotted some Royal Guards in front of a building and she sighed. She blew a bubble with the gum she was chewing and it popped. "Of course these bastards are here....Whatever.."

Rina summoned her magic gun and ran towards the guards. The guards looked at Rina and readied their weapons. They charged at Rina and slashed with their swords. Rina dodged swiftly and aimed her gun at a guard's head and pulled the trigger then killed the guard instantly. The other guard bellowed and dashed towards Rina and quickly slashed. Rina dodged and tossed her gun in the air and her demon wing emerged from her back then she transformed into her demon form. Her dark aura surged powerfully and she smirked.

"It's unfortunate you have to fall like this." She palmed the Royal Guard's chest and he was blown back through the walls of the building. She caught her gun and giggled then walked in the building.

Rina walked ahead and stopped as Royal Guard members circled around her. Her black kimono flowed with the gentle breeze and she reached inside her kimono then slowly pulled out a short blade then vanished. She appeared behind one of the guards and slit their throat then vanished again. The guards looked around and she appeared behind another then stabbed their back and vanished again. She managed to take down the guards alone then licked the blood off her blade and walked forward. After a bit of walking, she reached the bottom floor and saw my body laying on the ground.

"There you are." Rina giggled and skipped to me and held her hand out towards me and a faint light shined as she began the process of reviving me. "Steven...You are the only one who can help me and my friends. Come back to us...the universe needs you once more."

The light faded away and she waited a bit then stared at my body. A ninja slowly snuck behind Rina and was about to attack her. The ninja slashed at her neck then his blade was deflected out of his hand. Rina looked shocked and looked behind her and saw the ninja. I slowly sat up and grunted a bit. Rina looked at me and her eyes sparkled.

"Lady Kizame! The Hero has been reawakened!" The ninja said in his earpiece and looked shocked. "What are my orders?!"

"Damn...Someone got to him before us. Detain him and the one who brought him back to life! I will be there shortly!" Lady Kizame said then hung up.

The ninja ran to his blade and picked it up off the ground. He looked at me. My hair covered my left eye and I looked up at the ninja then at Rina. I looked confused as to how I am back alive and why.

"Steven! This man has chased me in here and kept me captive! He's planning to kill us both please help!" Rina pleaded and bowed at me. She had a slight smirk on her face.

I looked at her and stood up slowly. She quickly hid behind me and took out her phone and began recording for the overseer. She looked excited as she watched. I looked at my hands then blinked and balled my fists. The ninja dashed towards me and slashed. I dodged without thinking and looked at him. My golden eyes faintly glowed. He dashed towards me again and slashed again. I dodged then he made clones of himself and they all attacked me at the same time.

"Sun Shield." I said softly and held my hand out as a yellow barrier appeared around me.

Rina watched with great interest and kept recording. The clones kept attacking the barrier and each attack made the barrier stronger. The ninja dashed to the barrier and jumped then summersaulted, slashing down. I glared and looked at him.

"Sunset Burst." I said and the barrier exploded and blew him and his clones away. The ninja crashed into a wall and grunted then coughed blood. I lowered my arm and Rina looked at me.

"That was...so cool! I didn't think you were that powerful!" Rina ran towards me and wrapped her arms around me. She hopped up and down then giggled and laughed a bit. "Come take a picture with me!"

She still had her arm around me and held her phone up. She did sexy face and I looked at the phone screen then looked away. She looked at me and rose an eyebrow.

"Not a picture person?" Rina asked. I didn't answer nor even made an attempt to respond. I just had a face as if I'm trying to remember something...something important. "Hey don't ignore me! I'm talking to you! Helloooo?"

"I must applaud you...not many people make it past the Royal Guards. You must be Rina...the Junior Dark Lord everyone is talking about. You're a part of that group named the Chaos Children...you have to be one of those annoying bastards." Lady Kizame said as she walked up. "You revived Steven huh? You know...we made sure to keep him well hidden and yet you found him with little difficulty. I must thank you for making my job easier. Unfortunately, you will fall here and I will take Steven. He will not fall into your hands."

"Hmph...you really think I'm gonna just hand him over? After all the work I did? You're just talking out of your ass, lady! Steven is mine!" Rina said and held my arm. I looked at Rina and back at Lady Kizame.

"You chose your ending..." Lady Kizame said and summoned her blade of light. She dashed towards Rina and slashed horizontally. Rina looked at the sword and heard a clash then looked shocked. Lady Kizame's blade flew out of her hand and stuck onto the wall.

"You will not hurt her." I said and snatched my arm from Rina. "She brought me back to life...there must be a reason why I am here."

"Tch...her influence already reached him? Is he her puppet now?" Lady Kizame asked.

I summoned my sword and looked at it then glared at Lady Kizame. I dashed towards her and slashed. She dodged and wall jumped and grabbed her sword then slashed down. I parried her attack then grabbed her arm and flung her against the wall. She groaned and coughed blood then I kicked her through the wall. I stood straight and looked at my freehand.

"It's gonna take him a while to get used to this again...he has been dead for decades. He's not at his best...maybe over time he will regain access to his powers." Rina smirked and thought she grunted as I held my sword to her neck.

"I want answers..." I said and glared at her.

"H-Hey now! I brought you back to life-"

"Why?! What do you want with me?!" I raised my voice at her. She flinched and closed her eyes tightly. I glared at her then lowered my sword. "Start talking."

"Well it's like this...ever since you've been dead the universe has been going into shambles. Many timelines were created to try and balance out the universe...like that one Demon who became the Heroine of Origin and battled against Nymphira. Unfortunately that battle wasn't real...because of if it were we wouldn't be where we are now." Rina said.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"The heroes have turned their backs on us. Our realm is in desperate need for help and they won't help us...They refuse to help and now innocent people are dying and lives are being sacrificed for survival. Steven...you are our True Hero. I know all of your feats...you are the person who can set this universe straight. Please join me and my friends!" Rina bowed.

"You will not join them!" Lady Kizame roared and turned into a dragon and roared loudly.

"Hmph. If that is the truth then I will help you." My sword disappeared and I picked her up bridal style and ran towards the stairs and dodged the attacks of Lady Kizame.

"Eek! What are you doing?!" Rina squeaked and held onto me tightly.

I dodged the fireballs coming from Lady Kizame and ran out of the building. Lady Kizame roared and flew through the roof and flew towards us at high speeds.

"Watch out! Watch out! Watch out!" Rina cried out.

I dodged more fireballs and saw a magic circle nearby and stepped on the circle then was warped somewhere. Lady Kizame landed and turned normal then glared. She watched the magic circle shatter and exhaled smoke from her mouth.

I appeared at some unknown location in the Human Realm and looked around. Everything was new in my eyes. I looked around in awe and set Rina down by dropping her. She grunted and had her eyes closed.

"What the hell..?" She stood up slowly and glared at me then saw my face and looked around. "Welcome home Steven...welcome to the year 2098. The year of Chaos Impact Ø. This is the world now...futuristic yet ruined by selfishness.."

"This isn't the world I remember. The world I spent years saving and protecting. What happened to everything I worked so hard for? Everything is different and yet sad. I can't even bare to look at this place. This universe needs fixing once again...no it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. I will destroy everything and build everything back up from scratch if I have to." I said and closed my eyes then let out a sigh. I opened my eyes once more and looked at Rina. "Take me to your leader. I will join your cause."

"Of course!" Rina nodded and smiled happily.
