Unbeknownst to humans, there are two worlds: The Real World, and the Underworld called the Purple Sea. Uriel, a self-proclaimed book addict was just reading by the fountain, unaware of how late it was. It was April 27. At exactly 11:27pm, a full moon occurred and the water at the fountain turned purple, a sign that the portal to the Purple Sea has been opened. It swallowed him down, way down into the Underworld. When he came back to the Real World, he was different. He had Aquakinesis, the power to manipulate water. But not only that, he also became King of the Purple Sea.

My Accidental Power

As I brushed my teeth at five in the morning, I couldn't help but keep on recalling the night's events. The heartwarming bonding with Mama's family that ended up with an unexpected fire in the neighborhood had deprived me of a good night sleep because the adrenaline rush seemed to have stayed the entire night. I didn't know it was possible to feel nervous and relieved at the same time. I felt nervous because Papa, Richard, and Reymond have all witnessed my power. But I felt relieved at the same time because Papa finally knows about my secret, and he even helped explain to the twins that they might've been hallucinating when they said they saw me radiating with blue power and that I had telekinesis. Yes, they thought I had telekinesis. But of course, I couldn't correct them and say I have aquakinesis, could I?
