Fear of Kobolds

"You should be the patriarch of the kobolds, right?" Asteri asked.

"Exactly human am I, the one who led this clan of kobolds into a bright future." the kobold said in a striking way.

"Bright future? From what I hear here it smells like a demon ... you are usually dragon worshipers."

"* SPIT * dragons ?! that stupid, eco-centric race, we hate it. We trusted them and they betrayed us, let them all die." said the patriarch very angry.

'As if something like this could happen, how naive.' Aurelion said in Asteri's mind.

"Do as you please I don't care much about your story, but you wasted your surprise attack and you're alone ... so I'm ahe-" but as soon as he was about to say the last sentences, several quick footsteps were heard from behind Asteri.

"As not mentioned, partner remind me to note that once you pass a room with someone hostile sleeping or distracted, to kill them immediately to avoid future problems." Asteri said, turning towards the door through which he had entered.

"Alone? Who is alone human?" the pale kobold said with a malicious smile.

From behind Asteri came another thirty kobolds, the ones Asteri heard in the rooms along the corridor. As soon as they entered the hall the kobolds could only see their companions cut and burned along the floor, and looking up they saw Asteri in the midst of what was a massacre for them. They began to tremble with fear at a scene like this.

"WHAT STIPID COWARDS DO YOU DO ?! IMMEDIATELY ATTACK THE HUMAN ... or do you want to feel the strength of the master again?" asked the pale kobold.

Hearing this, the kobolds trembled even more with fear.

"So this is how you will lead your clan into a splendid future." Asteri said looking at the terrified kobolds.

"The master has granted me great powers, if only they accepted it too they wouldn't be like that, but they still remain faithful to that damned dragon ..." said the patriarch.

Asteri now understands the big picture, or at least part of it. Starting from the fact that every kobold he met here, he noticed that in their eyes there was an emotion that sent them to suicide against him, fear ... indeed no terror. The patriarch was using the power of this demon to push all these kobolds under him to obey.

Having finished thinking about this, the kobolds could only follow orders and attack Asteri.

"Great, those incompetents have done their job as butchery and bought the time I need for my spell." saying this the kobold finished the spell he was preparing, a kind of dark red cloud appeared in the sky that swirling quickly seemed to form the upper part of a cyclone, and from there dozens of dark red * fireballs * began to fall towards Asteri.

Asteri dodged any fireballs that were headed towards him, but that wasn't the only wave, and the * fireballs * kept falling from the vortex above. Asteri couldn't dodge indefinitely, so she used a spell on him.

"'Lightning'" this spell allows the chosen target to double his speed, but Asteri's was different, his target tripling instead of doubling. Which was better. And with the tripled movements Asteri immediately got rid of the * Fireballs * and quickly headed for the kobold, who was stupid by Asteri's speed.

Asteri did not like people like him who treated his subjects or servants in this way, he did not want the forgiveness of those kobolds he killed or perhaps that they saw him as their executioner, after all he killed them himself and if they felt hatred towards him too in death so be it, he would advance forward even carrying their hatred on his shoulders.
