Chapter 40: Memory Lane

Sabrina’s POV

We’re awake early for the three-and-a-half-hour-long drive to Canton. I was restless last night because I’m so excited to finally be going back, even though it’s only for one night. My brain was constantly thinking about all the fun things we can do together and mapping out our two days there.

Atlas still seems uncomfortable with the idea, but I know he’s making an effort because he knows it’ll make me happy. I’ve spent the week trying to figure out why he seems so unsure about this road trip, but I can never put my finger on anything definitive.

I was surprised when Atlas got to my apartment last night driving a Jeep with a retractable roof. He must’ve looked up what road trips look like and saw heaps of photos of families driving around in Jeeps. It’s not a realistic image of what road trips are like, but I must applaud him for the effort.
