Chapter 41: The Memories

Sabrina’s POV

Atlas and I spent the afternoon hanging out by the waterfall, taking pictures, and reading the books we bought with us. The weather is beautiful – sunny, but not too hot. I packed a picnic blanket and some snacks for us to enjoy. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day than lying next to a waterfall with an attractive man.

I’m still unsettled by how Atlas managed to direct us here without having any knowledge of the waterfall. He swears that he’s never been here before, and instead was drawn to the waterfall by intuition. I’m trying my best to believe him, but I’ve never met a foreigner who can get to this point without having been here before.

Something isn’t adding up.

When the sun begins setting low in the sky, I suggest we head back to the cabin and get ready for our dinner reservation at the only nice restaurant in town. I pack up the blanket and the empty snack containers and follow Atlas back up the narrow pathway until we reach the main walking track.
