I decided to jog from the residential area on campus to the bar downtown after I got Klein’s text. It was almost shorter to go on foot when factoring the wait time for an Uber and the traffic. And I didn’t mind the exercise. I’d taken to putting myself through some pretty intense workouts the last few months. Beating up my body helped me to focus on the fact I couldn’t get my head straight or force my heart to stop hurting.
