The Wolf prowling across dimensions by Pandora's Reader
Highschool of the Dead & My Hero Academia/僕のヒーローアカデミア Xover Rated: M, English, Family & Adventure, [OC, Rika M., Shizuka M., Saeko B.], Words: 820k+, Favs: 1k+, Follows: 1k+, Published: Nov 17, 2021 Updated: Nov 9 779Chapter 93: Rollin rollin rollin
Jellatinous - Ashbeast and Moord Nag are there. I'll probably have them move onto Europe for the Three Blasphemies afterwards, THEN head out to deal with the Nazi's and Yangban.
Wentley - I'm trying to picture Zion with angel wings, and a white sundress, and it's just not working.
Westrannor - Nah, you didn't miss anything. Himiko being bitten was just bound to happen, especially by Saeko since she's the one that makes the most sense. Rika biting Nemuri makes sense to me since the both of them are pretty similar. Thanks for reading too.
R Reyes - I could, probably won't though. The strong guys are all in Shippuden so if we ever were going to go to Naruto, it would be during the Shippuden arc.
Fenrir - As long as there's some difference between them, like one that'd make sense, then Maccillian can still eat people and get something from them.
Sebastian - Himiko literally feeds on blood. Why would they not give her any?
Just finished this yesterday, so have another chapter. Aren't I generous?
{Maccillian's POV}
Seeing an angel but not angel look confused, was hilarious. Those space worms did the whole 'Query' thing, and I wanted to do it just for the fuck of it. Though, getting back a response, that basically skipped the conversation part of talking, was interesting. I knew what she meant, and got a mental image of her asking if I made a mistake. It was interesting, but also confirmed that I had a fannon Simurgh. A friend bringer if I did this right. And I had an incentive to do it right. ~Greeting? Purpose?~ That got me out of my former thoughts, and I thought about the question and how it was asked. Feeling someone say 'hello', was strange, but she wanted to know why I was here. I didn't miss the fear and hope in that question though, and I hummed a lil tune...
As well as anyone can hum in space. And as fun as being in space was, I had other things to do, and black holes to create. [If I freed you, would you still be a mass murdering murder angel of murderness?] If the answer was yes, I'd give her the Leviathan treatment, or just chomp on her with my enhanced Amphisbaena form. If it was no, then I'd make her one of mine, and free her. The Simurgh stared at me, and even with her whole 'false angel' thing, I could tell she was in shock. (What? Did she expect me to just strike up a conversation, and just kill her after? I'm not some kind of barbarian.) I felt like someone would have something to say to that, but if they did, they could kiss dirt with my gravity shovin em into it.
Anyway, she took her time to go through the shock of a chance at freedom, and slowly nodded. ~Confirmation. Resolution. Hope.~ She agreed, which I was expecting. The fact she didn't want to do her whole 'I am madness' act anymore, if ever if she was lucky, didn't exactly surprise me. Though, she wanted to keep making things, to make up for the people she was forced to end or corrupt, which was fine to me. Then there was the 'Hope' part of that message, and THAT threw me for a loop. Hearing or seeing someone be hopeful at something was whatever. But FEELING it, and feeling just how much she hoped this would end, even if that meant killing her, hit me hard. The double wammy was the way she had a smile on her face as she sent it. I almost felt like an asshole for considering killing her...
Time to put that out of the equation. So, I nodded at her, and reached a hand out. The Simurgh looked at it for a moment, then immediately reached her own hand out. It didn't matter that she was a giant compared to my current form, the way she took my hand was like a child. I decided there, that she was going to be my responsibility now. So, with that in mind, I let my aura flash, and my Sword of Damocles glow silver as I spoke.
"For it is in passing that we achieve immortality.
Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all, infinite in distance, and unbound by death.
I release your soul and by my shoulder protect thee."
I would've normally been done there, but just like the hounds, I wasn't finished with just unlocking her aura, which glowed a white almost matching my Morningstar.
"Alone you watched.
Alone you suffered.
Alone you despaired."
My Sword of Damocles was shining as bright as a star, and The Simurgh's own aura was matching it. I could feel as her core was moving through her body, and eventually settling into her chest. With it there, I went on.
"You are alone no longer.
Come, and join us on our never ending journey.
Join us, and be reborn anew as a member of the Silver Clan."
With that, The Simurgh let go, curled into herself and was by her wings, as a silver light engulfed her. As her king, and with my senses, I could feel the changes going on within her. Her core was dissolving, just like the hounds' had, and as it was going, her body was changing. Her wings were shiftin, the bigger ones were slowly shrinking, while the smaller ones were starting to grow. The long white hair of hers gained a silver tint, pretty much like mine, and her presence was becoming more... Whole? I'd say.
There were more changes happening, but I realized that it wasn't going to be done soon, so I had a question. (I'm in space... So what the fuck do I do until she's done?) I had no idea... Great. I was in space, and fuck all to do... Hmm... [Invite Yin Xiao-Long] Sending it out, I finally had the chance to try out what I wanted to do a while ago.
Yin accepted it after a few seconds of waiting, her voice filled my mind. ~Ma...-~
Before she finished saying my name, I did what I've always wanted to do. [BOP!] I kicked her out of the party. (Ah... Finally... Imma do it again.) [Invite Yin Xiao-Long] I waited for her to accept it...
Which ended up taking a minute, but she did. ~I swear to g...-~
[BOP ELECTRIC BOOGALOO!] And I did it again! It was cathartic, and I found way more amusement in the act then I should've. But hey, it was fun. I was tempted to try it again too, but Yin wasn't stupid. If I did, she'd either not accept it, or do, and start talking my head off so I would lose the battle. So, with that thought, I furled my wings around myself, and just floated around the Simurgh, and waited for her to finish her metamorphosis... Great...
{30 minutes later}
(~We're aaat the eeend!
Our intuition's crumbling.
Everything you see, is it reality?
Tell me I need to kn...-~) I stopped singing the kid's OP, and looked towards The Simurgh. Her cocoon of feathers had started shaking, which meant she was done adapting to her new changes. And as her wings started to open up, I took stock of said changes. (Well, she's a fuckin arch angel now, six fluffy and pure white wings on both sides, seem to be... 12 feet fully extended? Hmm... Interesting.) They were a bit bigger then my Vouivre wings, but that was fine considering Vouivre's weren't exactly meant to fly. Glide? Sure. Fly? Eh.
That aside, with her wings out of the way, I got a better look at the woman formerly known as 'The Simurgh.' (She's got pupils now. Pure silver like my eye, but... Are those... Huh...) In my opinion, her eyes were trippy as fuck. But to have an actual description, they looked like stained glass, like, church type stained glass. I had no idea what made that happen, but it did. (Moving on. Her hair's all silky, kinda like mine and the rest of the girls. Though, it looks like molten silver, so she's got us all beat in that department.) I could just imagine the annoyed groan from Rei about the fact another woman having gorgeous hair without having to maintain it. (It looks like she's actually alive now, considering the healthy tinge to her cheeks, and the heartbeat I can pick up from her.) Yeah, I was in space, and shouldn't have been able to hear that, but I was a Werewolf, fuck the rules of science. Going further down that vein, I gave her a once over, and hummed. (Hmm... She's still a giant, but she's only 8... I want to say 8'2, now.) She was tall, sure, but her height wouldn't really be the first things someone sees when it comes to her. (She's also still got the right parts... But... Are they bigger?) I didn't pay her tits any mind when I first saw them, but I was pretty sure they grew for some reason. They matched mine whenever I was 'Millie', and I had no idea why. (Let's just ignore that.) I agreed with my thought, and mentally nodded.
With my look at her done, the woman that used to be the Simurgh gave me a wide grin, and zoomed over to me and hugged me. I reflexively hugged her back, and watched as her wings fluttered like a hummingbird's. ~Happiness! Freedom! Freedom! Freedom! Thankfulness!~ The rapid fire messages/feeling/images hit me like a fright train, and I needed to toggle my Inviolability in order to kick that headache to the curb. My new pack mate seemed to realize that, since she brought herself back, and gave me a look similar to an abused puppy. ~Apology! Overjoyed!~ I sighed at that, and gently pat her back. I could understand it. She's been dreaming about being free for years, to be free of the whole 'hope killer' thing, and finally be her own person. Then she gets her wish, and it's the happiest moment in her existence. A headache was just a minor inconvenience in the face of that.
[It's all good kid.] She smiled at that, and went back to hugging me. I just let it happen, and kept humming. Though, after a few seconds, I had a thought, and tapped her back. She leaned back, and looked at me in confusion. [What do you want to be called?] She USED to be 'The Simurgh', the 'Hope Killer.' A chained angel. She wasn't that now, and she was up for a name change if she wanted one.
Judging by the wide eyed look on her face, she realized that too. She stared at me for a bit, thinking, and I waited for her answer. Suddenly, she smiled, another full smile that was similar to Eri's, and answered. ~HOPE!~ I blinked at the intensity of her answer, but when I processed why she wanted it, I smiled back. She was The Simurgh. She knew of her title of 'Hope Killer', and hated it. She didn't want to snuff out potential anymore. She didn't want to keep humanity from the stars. She was going to be the hope for progress.
[Good choice.] She preened at that, which would've been weird to see an eight foot arch angel do if I weren't me, but I went on. [Any ideas for a last name?] It was just normal curiosity that led me to ask that.
Though, the slight mischievous smile on Hope's face momentarily made me wonder if that was a good question or not. ~Zaka!~ Thank fuck it was impossible to trip or choke on air in space, because gods know that's what would've happened the moment she said that, with the happiness of a child eating cotton candy for the first time. ~Hope Zaka. Hello big brother!~ That said, she squeezed me, and even wrapped her wings around me for extra measure.
I ignored the fact she spoke the normal way, and just focused on the fact I suddenly acquired a little sister... (What the fuck did I get myself into?)
{Yin's POV 10 minutes later}
Taylor and Lisa, the ones who were not only truly interested in hearing how Macky and I knew each other, but were actually here. Rachel was still with her dogs, and doing what she could to fix up her place for them. Aisha wanted to be here too, but after Leviathan came, was seen, got laid down by asshole supreme, he was going overdrive on looking for a place so he could get her the fuck out of Brockton... Though, I was pretty sure Aisha would give him the slip eventually.
Anyway, I was telling them how Macky and I met, the whole 'Fall of Beacon' scenario, Grimm Dragon included, when there was a knock at the door. I paused, and sent a look to Taylor. She met my raised brow with one of her own. "My bugs don't come anywhere near this place Yin, you know that. How am I supposed to know?" I hated that she had a point.
I sighed, and made a construct to go open the door, which it did. When I saw it was Macky, I couldn't help it. "Well, speak of the devil."
Macky grinned at me, and flicked his tail in my direction. "You're Werewolf god king has returned, peasant." I just rolled my eyes at that, which got a chuckle out of him. "But, I am not alone in my glorious return." I, and the rest of the girls, paused as he side stepped, and held his arms out in the 'tada' pose. "Introducing my sister since ten or something minutes agooo!" My mind kicked into overdrive, and I remembered where he went... I remembered WHO he went to. And as a woman with an hourglass figure, long silver hair, wearing a goddamn fedora, a pure white sundress, white pumps, and twelve fucking wings... Which phased through the walls somehow, crouched into room, and walked in... And despite the fact she was drop dead gorgeous, I felt the strongest migraine in existence, and KNEW it was Macky's fault. "Say hello to my little sister, Hope Zaka! Say hi Hope."
The motherfucking Simurgh smiled, and trilled happily. ~Hello world!~ I pinched the bridge of my nose, and ignored the laugh from both Macky, and system.
(I know I'm going to regret this, but fuck it. Observe.) Seeing her stats, I froze.

Formally known as 'The Simurgh', Conflict Engine #3 was activated in December 2002, and made her presence known by attacking Lausanna, Switzerland. She was tasked to watch for any who could uplift society with technology, and destroy them. Tasked with striking anywhere that could lead to growth on a worldwide scale. Tasked with creating plans that would lead to destabilization on a worldwide scale. But as the years passed, and her task progressed, she grew to hate it. To hate being chained down. To hate watching the lives of those capable of helping the world be snuffed out, either by her own hand, or by certain circumstances.
She wished for freedom, and today, freedom was what she gained.
Having her aura awakened let her assimilate her core into herself, losing that weakness, and the chain that bound her. Being added to the Silver Clan gave her the power to be who she wished she could be. She is 'The Simurgh' no longer. All that she is, is Hope 'White' Zaka. Proclaimed little sister of Maccillian Silver Zaka, walking religious icon, the equivalent to a small star in terms of mana, and t... ~The best little sister in the world!~]
[Huh... That's new.]
Everything was going fine. Sure, The Si...- Hope, had suddenly went up 125 levels, but she was friendly now. Sure, she was pretty much a nuke when it came to aura and mana, which was still ticking up so she was focusing on filling up rather then using it. Sure, her stats were fucking crazy, especially her mental stats and her luck. I could handle all of that.
But when she LOOKED AT ME AND INTERACTED WITH HER DESCRIPTION?! Oh I was freaking the fuck out in my mind, which Gamer's Mind was doing nothing to stop! Hell, system didn't even sound worried, just amused! It didn't help that Hope was giving me an 'innocent' smile, like she hadn't just done that. (What the fuck has my life come to?) I didn't know at this point.
The panicked buzzing of every bug in a two mile radius told me that Taylor was freaking out just as much as I was, and I saw it. Meanwhile, Lisa looked like she blue screened, either because her power did, or she just freaked out enough to pass out. I wasn't sure which one worried me more, but both gave me SOME amusement that made my migraine just a little better.
Anyway, safe to say, freakouts occurred.
{10 minutes of freaking out and making sure the Queen of Escalation did not call a biblical plague on the angel woman later. Maccillian's POV.}
With Hope happily playing with my tail, it was easy to keep her distracted... Was probably how they saw it. I knew, even having only spoken to Hope for a few minutes, that she was letting me 'distract' her so the natives weren't as defensive against the Endbringer in the room. It was a small manipulation, downplaying the fact she could wreck the shit out of anyone, aside from the big golden dick himself, she wanted. But it was for a good cause.
"Ok. Ok... What. What you're saying is that the Endbringers, the things," Hope looked at Taylor, and pouted at being called a 'thing.' The bug master flinched a little, but having Yin gently squeeze her shoulder seemed to help. "Ok. Sorry..." Hope smiled at Taylor, and I wiggled my tail, tickling one of her wings, 'making' her focus on it rather then the worried teen. Taylor, Lisa and Yin still seemed to find that weird, but the former went on. "The Endbringer's are mastered by Eidolon. The Si...-" Another look from Hope stopped her. "Hope," She smiled again, and went back to playing with my tail. "Wanted to be free, so you freed her and made her your sister? Am I... Am I getting that right?"
I nodded, and grinned. "Let's not forget the other 17 Endbringers." The way the bug master and female Sherlock froze at that, made me cackle.
"Which won't be an issue! Won't they, Macky." I rolled my eyes at the stink eye Yin was giving me, and was going to respond, but I was beat too it...
By Hope. ~The host of High Priest will find his powers unable to do much of anything, let alone activate other Conflict Engines.~ The four of us blinked, and looked at my new little, despite having almost two whole feet on me, sister.
"When the fuck did you manage that?" I was honestly curious.
Instead of looking at me, she kept playing with my tail, and had the peaceful smile on her face, but the air around her just seemed to have the 'menacing' symbols from Jojo. ~During my metamorphosis. With the removal of my core, I was no longer bound to the High Priest. But, not being bound did not mean not being connected. So, before I was fully free, I sent a surge of mana along the network, and struck his shard, while rending the connection the High Priest had with the other Conflict Engines. They shall never rise. Never will they force others to despair in their presence, or at their existence. They will stay nonactive, and wither away as the sands of time entomb them. The High Priest will follow them. Perhaps it will take weeks, perhaps a month, it will depend on which sequence of events happen first, but he WILL wither. He will feel his power slip away, and even as he tries to hold onto it, his power will be like water. No matter how he tries to grasp it, it will flow through his fingers, forever to be out of his grasp until he is left with nothing. He will be a broken little man, as he was destined to be.~ Huh...
Looking at my sister, who just continued to play with my tail, I slowly nodded. "Hope." She looked at me, like an innocent doe that can do no wrong. "You can be real fuckin vindictive, huh?" She fluttered her lashes at me, in a 'I don't know what you mean', way, and I snorted. "The girls are going to love you, I just know it."
She smiled at that, and giggled. ~Excited!~ I blinked at the visual of her, Shizuka, a Himiko in the form of Shizuka, and Lili going around giving people the puppy dog eyes, and stared at her.
"... You just may be the ultimate evil after all." That got some melodious laughter out of her, and I just smiled as she laughed. I might've been jumping into this whole 'sibling' thing a bit fast, but considering she can just tell or show me how genuine or how strongly she feels for something, it was easy to just accept it and move on. Granted, she still made a terrifying image with the four of them going out to guilt people into doing shit for them. (It'd only be worse if they had Eri along, with Sunny being the mascot.)
The moment I thought that, Hope stopped laughing, and tilted her head at me. ~Eri? Sunny?~
I blinked, and raised a brow at her. "Surface thoughts?" I hadn't told her about her... Niece? (Does that make Sunny her nephew by technicality?) I was gonna drop the train of thought before it went anywhere. Anyway, I hadn't told her about them, and she only asked after I thought that, and despite acting it, I wasn't dumb. So it had to be surface thoughts.
The way Hope nodded sold it, and she responded. ~Capabilities.~ I hummed, and went over what she just told me. I hadn't asked after her change, but her powers were changed after the whole thing.
Her telepathy was passive, she could read surface thoughts of anyone in a 15m radius if she felt like it, which was fucking crazy if you thought about it, but she could turn it off or focus it if she wanted too. Actively, she could deep dive into someones mind, read their memories and thoughts from the day they were born, and fuck with them if she chose to do so. Again, crazy, but kinda fucking cool.
Her telekinesis ended up mixing with my gravity power, so she could exert up to 10x gravity, or remove it at will. That made me curious about doing a gravity off, but it could come later.
The Tinker powers of hers changed from borrowing from whoever was in the area, to Tinker: Yes. She could sit down, have an idea, and go through with it. Granted, she'd need materials to make anything she wanted, but we were rich back in My Hero, and materials were nothing when I used Overhaul to alchemy up anything.
Her mana and aura were new things, so she needed time to get used to them before figuring out what she could or couldn't do, but she was excited about them either way.
Her 'scream' was still there, but she could direct it now instead of doing it as an AoE.
Then came her future sight. The way she showed it, it was multifaceted. She could look at the world in three different ways, and at people in two.
The first way of the world was in vague terms. 'Something will happen in x year.' Shit like that.
The second was more detailed. 'In x year, during x month, an event that will be very important for the future will occur.' More useful, but still somewhat vague.
Then there was the last one. 'In 2011, in x month, in x day, this will happen.' It was precise, and frankly, one of the most bullshit things I'd ever heard of, because unless there was a blind spot, or someone like me, that did shit just for the fuck of doing it, came around, then her predictions would come true. It was even crazier when you realized her predictions adapted to her doing shit, so she could toss a stone at something a week in advance, and a week later, someone could end up tripping and breaking their neck because of it.
That bit of scary shit aside, the way she could view people was interesting. She could do the vague thing 'x will be important for the future', which was kind of eh...
OR, she could watch that person. See their day to day life, and watch their future until they died... Which again, was crazy. She could choose whether to do that or not, so she wasn't living a crazy telltale game. (Hmm... For my little sister, she sure does have a fuckton of op powers... Seems legit.) Hope, I needed to start thinking of a nickname for her, giggled at that thought, and I pat her on the fedora, which I knew was a joke about Contessa. "Anyway, you'll meet Eri and Sunny when we go home. The former is going to be your niece, while the latter is a her dragon familiar."
My little sister blinked at that, then smiled again, which she was doing a lot of, ~Anticipation.~ And now I knew just how much the idea of having a niece enticed her. I was looking forward to introducing her to my kids.
The sound of the front door closing distracted the both of us, and I noticed the bug tamer had left... And that Yin and Lisa were drinking wine? The fuck? They noticed us looking, and I got a raised brow from Yin. "Anything you want to say, Macky?"
I thought about it, and hummed. "You... Can't get drunk though..." I knew she couldn't. Gamer's Body kept that from happening, so the fuck was she drinking for?
My bestfriend shrugged, then drank some more of the mysterious wine. "It's cathartic. The hell do you expect me to do after you drop a motherfucking planet buster in my livingroom? NOT drink?" She... She had a good point there...
I looked over to Lisa, who was pouring more wine for herself, and waited for her answer. She just looked at me, with the Saya patented 'Are you dumb?' Look, and I shrugged. "You've just, in the span of two hours, killed an Endbringer, adopted another one into your fucked up family,"
"I resent that!/~Yeah!~ " Sibling unity people, it's a wonderful thing.
Too bad Lisa didn't care. "You suborn my power, and make it a smug little shit that goes 'Oh, I can turn off now, would you like me to turn off? Yes? Too bad, I don't feel like it, so suffeeer!' All this shit is just icing on the cake." Huh x2... I just looked at Lisa, and decided that she might've had good standing in order to bitch and get drunk.
~Negotiator's host isn't a very good negotiator.~ Yin and I snorted at that, and Lisa just groaned.
She dropped her head onto the table, and just looked miserable. "I hate all of you." Doubtful.
I looked at Yin, who just drank some more wine, and shrugged, like it wasn't her problem. "Anyway, what world breaking revelation or action will you do now oh 'mighty one?'" The sarcasm was strong with this one.
"Well... Wanna beat the shit out of each other now?" She perked up, and looked at me in a watered down version of Kiriko's 'Battle lust' look, so I already knew the answer. (Hmm... Note to self, let Kiriko and Kendo double team her later... And not in the threesome way.) My new little sister made a noise between a flute and a wind chime, so we all knew what she thought about THAT thought. The other two women in the room gave her a look, but she didn't spill the beans. Sibling unity at its finest!
Anyway, Yin invited me to her party, which I accepted the moment I got it. Hope did the same, but Lisa just shook her head. "No. Too much crazy crap just happened. I need to crash and let my bed hold me hostage until the next day, thank you very much." And like that, she got up, and walked away while taking the bottle of wine and her glass with her. We watched her go, and eventually close the door to her room.
With her gone, Hope and I looked to Yin, who shrugged again. "Not everyone can deal with your brand of bullshit, Macky." Eh, they were weaklings then. "Anyway, let's hit it. I.D Create: Slime."
In the blink of an eye, we went from the livingroom, to the familiar plains of the slime dungeon. I was used to the instantaneous movement, so even though I went from sitting on something, to not, I didn't fall... Hope on the other hand, fell, and I had to hold back on snickering at my little sister... Which didn't work, and earned me a highly effective pout. ~Big brother is mean!~
I snorted at that, and helped her up. "Oh hush you, you'll get the chance to laugh at me for some stupid shit eventually." That didn't stop her from pouting mind you, it just lessened the pout. Anyway, Hope dusted herself off, and looked around the plains.
The slime dungeon looked the same as it always had, a never ending, we checked, green field, with little blue, green, or pink blobs hopping around without a care in the world. One of those blobs, one of the pink ones, bounced over to us, and I watched Hope STARE at it, and when it hopped onto her foot, Yin and I watched as her wings fluttered at mach speeds, and her face blossomed into a smile. ~Adorable!~ The both of snorted at that, and watched as she scooped up the blob of slime, and clutch it to her chest like it was a stuffed animal.
Then she did something different... She used her telekinesis, and grabbed the nearest dozen slimes, and brought them over to herself, then glomped them with her wings... It was... It was a strange sight, but a kinda cute one too... I took a picture to show the others later, and turned away. She could have her fun, while Yin and I trained.
Speaking of my Gamer friendo, she was looking at Hope, an amused but exasperated expression on her face. She met my gaze, and I shrugged. "Oook... So, how're we starting this?" That was a good question.
Humming, and starting to think about it, when I remembered something I forgot to do. Looking at her, I started walking over to Yin, who just kept her arms crossed, and a raised brow as I kept going. Then, when I was in front of her, I brought a hand up, and booped her on the nose, making her cross her eyes to look at my finger, even as my Sword of Damocles glowed silver. "Boop." Yin blinked for a second, then glowed silver as her aura flashed, and gained the metallic and silver tint of the rest of my clan members. When the event was over, I felt Yin's connection to me as one of my own, and grinned. "I forgot to do this when you gave it to me, but now you got it." I didn't know why I forgot to make her one of mine, but she was now, so that had to count for something.
She just looked at me though, and gently moved my finger away as she stared at me. "Why are you the way that you are?"
I raised a brow at that. "Would you want me to be any other way?"
We stared at each other at that, and after a few seconds, grinned, and she shook her head. "As much as I want to say yes...-"
"Excuse me?" She ignored that perfectly reasonable interjection.
"I wouldn't." Aww. I reached out, and brought Yin into a headlock, and started giving her a noogie. "NOT THE HAIR! MACKYYY!" I kept going, and cackled as Yin tried to escape for me. Now, I knew she could if she just used her Wolf form to escape, but she didn't. I saw the smile on her face, and knew she was having fun.
Though, Hope seemed to want to join in, since she crashed into the both of us with her mini squad of slimes. From there, we just fucked around for a bit, and just had some fun.
{10 minutes later}
We were done fucking around, and now, Yin, Hope and I were sitting on the grass, and deciding on how our spar would go. Well, Yin and I were, while Hope was just cuddling with her slimes, and watching us. That aside, Yin was stronger then she was back in Remnant, and her stats reflected that. She was almost as fast as I was in my base form, which was kinda fucked up when you realized the level difference between us was so fucking high. "Gamer's are bullshit." Yin snorted at that, but I doubled down. "I mean, I'm 700 levels higher then you are, and you match me for speed, and almost the rest of your stats! Like, the fuck?"
She rolled her eyes at that, and looked at me. "Macky, it's literally your fault." I blinked at that, and just stared.
"How is that MY fault?" Now she gave me another Saya look, and I just didn't get why.
Seeing that, my bestfriend of the Gamer variety, stared back. "My race change literally came from, and is based on you. Your version of a Werewolf gives me +10 to all my physical stats, PER LEVEL. Adding up the fact I'm a speed type, and of course I'm going to catch up to you sooner rather then later." That...
"That's sooo bullshit." Bitch had the audacity to laugh! How rude! "You're still a century too early to match me though, so even if your stats match up, I'll beat your ass 10 times out of 10."
Yin stopped laughing, and narrowed her eyes at me. "Oh really? Want to put your money where your mouth is?"
I grinned at that, and bared my fangs. "That's why we're here, ain't it?"
She grinned back, and looked ready to get up, before she stopped, and blinked. "Hold on, I wanna roll first. I got a ticket from my Leviathan quest, beating the fuck out of the Triumvirate, and one from earlier after conquering my dragon dungeon. We can fight after I'm done."
That made me pause, and stare at her. "Really? You want to roll NOW?!" I wanted to fight, and it was the perfect moment to start. But nooo. I huffed, and did not pout as I rested my head on my knuckle, and waited for Yin to roll.
Said Gamer smiled at me, and immediately put her hand on one of Hope's wings, making said angel blink, and look at her. ~?~ I had no idea why she did that either, so we looked at Yin for an explanation.
She shrugged, and gave a simple answer. "She's got 10k luck. I'm abusing that." My jaw hung open, and I had to take a minute to process that... That... That bullshit!Even Hope herself needed a moment to process the fact she had bullshit luck.
Though, the one that dropped that little tidbit of knowledge onto us didn't seem to care that we were buffering, I recognized the irony, and grinned as she started rolling. "Alright, come to mama. You know you want too. Come to mama!" I forgot how much of a gacha addict she was, and was now witnessing her insane look, and damn near yandere hunger in her eyes as she rolled for shit. I was going to call her out on it, but when she suddenly froze, and her grin widened to 'the shark in Nemo' levels of wide, I decided that no, I wasn't.
Then, when she practically squealed, and enveloped my little sister in a hug I was sure would break the spine of anyone else, much to the surprise and delight of said little sister, I started to sweat thinking about what she could've gotten. "Uhh... You wanna share with the rest of the class?" (If she got something with anti Werewolf stats, I'm gonna freak the fuck out.) Hopefully, she didn't. That got her to look at me, and the way her eyes shined was enough to make me wonder if I was going to be screwed.
She stopped hugging Hope, and sprang to her feet, grin wide as she held out her right hand, where a shield I recognized materialized, and was planted into the ground. I just STARED at the shield, then looked at an infuriatingly smug Yin. "Is that Lord motherfucking Camelot?" The pleased nod was her response, and I turned back to the Noble Phantasm in front of me... "You're so bullshit, I can't even be mad anymore."
Yin snorted, and pounded her other hand against the legendary shield, giving me a challenging look. "Wanna test this? Cause I do. Pleaaase say yes Macky."
Blinking at that, I thought about seeing if I could break through a Noble Phantasm from Arthurian legend, and felt my grin threaten to split my face. "Oh we're testing this all right. Let's go!" She liked that answer, and ran across the field, shield firmly in her grasp. As she did that, I looked to my sister, who still had the slimes gathered around her like large skittles, and hummed. She looked so eager to understand just what was going on, and despite the fact she could probably eat up the damage from our clash, I told her anyway. "You might want to take to the sky. You'll get a good view, and stay safe."
That seemed to make her happy, it was either the fact I wanted her to be safe, or getting a view of the clash, maybe both, but the happy thrill, she couldn't speak yet, told me that she did enjoy that. So, after a quick hug, and me giving her my focus, which was set on record, she gathered her slimes, and took to the sky with a single beat of her wings.
Hope out of the way, I looked across the field, and saw Yin with one of the biggest grins I'd ever seen on her face, and spoke, cause I knew she could still hear it even that far away. "Ready?" She nodded, and I grinned. "Alright. TRY NOT TO DIE, YIN!"
{Hope's POV}
Looking at my brother and the one called Yin, I couldn't help but feel excited. We were in a dimension I couldn't read. Somewhere the almost omnipresent itch in the back of my mind couldn't and didn't bother me. It was easy to ignore now that I was Hope, but I wasn't used to there being no itch in the first place. It was amazing and just reiterated the fact I was free of my burden. Holding Pinkie the first of the line and queen to her name, I pressed her closer. (It helps there are these little cuties too!) The slimes were something I recognized from games I played, a starter monster you could just whack for exp, but seeing them in person was nice. They were just so comfy, and I wanted hundreds more.
My newfound obsession with the blobby lovlies aside, I watched as the earring on my brother's ear glowed like a star, and started to disappear. It was easy to see where it was going when a massive sword with the same look reappeared in the sky above him, and kept glowing. I knew a little bit about it, it came with the territory of being a member of the Silver Clan, and being granted a new ability as well as body from its power, but seeing it was different. No matter how much I looked at it, I couldn't fully understand it. I couldn't fully SEE it. To my senses, it was a solid construct of pure and refined POWER.
And seeing that power reach an apex, and send off a beam at my brother, who was howling to the sky, I couldn't help but feel my feathers ruffle. I obviously knew my big brother was strong, aside from the Warrior, there was no other entity in this realm that could stand a chance against him, but seeing was believing. And seeing my brother go from a humanoid form, into a being far surpassing the other Conflict Engines. Into a form with more raw power then any of us could've brought to bear. Was humbling. I may be stronger then ever, but I was not the peak. There was a future with my being by my big brother's side as he grew even stronger, and I wanted to be there with him as he did.
Then, he finished forming into a form befit of a world eater, and looked down towards Yin, the anomaly that I had been unable to truly see. She was easy to be seen as a friend, and strived to protect those around her. I didn't understand just what this 'Lord Camelot' was, or why she and big brother thought it might hold up to him, but I wanted to see it. Wanted to see the clash of two beings that did and could rival the Entities of this realm.
My big brother howled again, and with focus I'd never fully given to anything else, I watched as he ran towards her, and held my breath as she grinned, a grin that looked full of as much joy and excitement as my brother's. Bringing the shield in front of her, it started glowing, and I felt it. Her mana thrummed in the air, sang with warmth and purpose. Her outfit changed, as a black fur coat, with a long cape materialized onto her,(Lion King's coat) and her aura responded.
"That which heals all wounds and grudges.
Our glorious homeland.
MANIFEST YOURSELF!
LORD CAMELOT!"
Before my eyes, a magnificent castle formed into existence behind her, and a barrier of pure and absolutely dense mana formed in front of her. The castle walls seemed impenetrable, ready to stand against any and everything thrown its way. That was about to be tested as my brother howled in excitement, "The One True Wolf!" And ran faster towards the castle that he still dwarfed in size. It was like a movie, watching a massive creature of myth run towards a castle of legend standing to defend the innocent! The clash between the two would've been world shattering, country shattering at the very least, and I watched as my big brother's head slammed into the barrier. The sparks that flew between the two would've blinded anyone else, but I watched with bated breath as the castle walls held, even as Yin grit her teeth as she dug her heels into the ground. My big brother seemed to be overjoyed that the shield hadn't broken, and started pushing harder. Yin, not to be outdone, seemed to raise the output of her aura and mana, making the walls and the barrier glow with a black as dark as the surroundings of space, and bolstered their defenses.
The clash between the two seemed to enter its final stage as my big brother's form glowed in a silver light, reared his head back, and prepared to smash it into the castle, while Yin's aura and mana fully coated the castle and barrier, making the castle walls gleam like polished obsidian, and grow by atleast half of its previous size. With that done, my brother let out one last howl, then SMASHED his head into the barrier, as Yin shouted while the force slowly pushed her back. Then, without warning, my big brother's form exploded like a star. I was high enough to avoid the immediate blast area, but the force of the wind sent me careening back through the air.
It took me a few moments to reorient myself, but when I did, I couldn't help but be in awe of the fact the castle still stood... For a few seconds. The barrier shattered, and I watched as the castle slowly began to disappear. It didn't crumble, it just phased out of existence... Majestically. (My new life is truly exciting.) It really was. And as I saw my big brother float down towards Yin, I was that much more grateful for him not just obliterating me the moment he saw me.
From where I was, I could hear him laugh, heartily and happily. He seemed to be approaching Yin, who was leaning on Lord Camelot, and hastily breathing out. "That, was AWESOME! Yin, we gotta do that again!"
Yin laughed at that, and slowly stood up straight. "Yeah, we do. But not now. I got mana and aura exhaustion, so no magic for me at the moment." Mana and Aura Exhaustion? What?
The answer to my unasked question came quickly, as my big brother went 'huh', and looked at her. "So you dumped all of your aura and mana into Lord Camelot, and raised it to what, an A rank?" That answered one question, but now there was a new one. What was an A rank?
Yin nodded, and seemed to be listening to something we couldn't hear, most likely the thing that scanned me, and I accessed as she did. I couldn't access it again at the moment, she'd need to do that thing again, but that was probably what it was. "So, me dumping all of that into Lord Camelot raised it to A+. I could go further, but I need more mana and aura, so I guess I know where my points are going to be going for a while." Hmm...
Big brother nodded back at that, and scratched his chin. "So, all your mana and aura stands up to an 85% The One True Wolf.(Only using aura) Yeah, that seems legit." There was power in that attacks name, and I shivered as he said it.
The one who it was said to though, just blinked, and raised a brow at him. "Weren't you nerfed? I thought you couldn't use more then 70% with that attack now." What? when did that happen?
(Hmm... I'm starting to miss my omnipresence.) It would've made things so much easier if I could just read the multitude of futures where either of them explained... (I'll ask later.) I nodded at that, and kept observing my brother and Yin.
Not answering my question, he shrugged. "I thought that too, but just using it now, I realized it's more like a minimum. I can go higher, I've just never NEEDED or WANTED too. It makes sense though, that's overkill at 70%, so I've never had a reason to go higher." He grinned here, and looked at Yin with undisguised joy in his eyes. "Though, now that I know THAT, I can work with it some more whenever I go to fight something like goldenrod." Goldenrod? I took a moment to think on that, and realized he must've meant the Warrior. That seemed like a fight I wouldn't want to miss, but also one that was highly dangerous to be in the same realm as the combatants... An issue for later. "Anyway, you showed me yours, so I think it's time to show you mine." What?
"What?" Yes, what indeed. But after saying that, Yin froze, and her eyes widened to a comical degree. "Oh fuck."
My big brother grinned like the Cheshire cat, and held his arms out, claws fully extended, and fur growing along his arms. "Fractured I stood." Well, from the way the mana in the air surged out of him, I knew this was going to be big. As my big brother continued his chant, the mana he expelled was enough for me to continue absorbing, and continue filling my own reservoir of the mysterious resource.
(At least I have my sli...-) I blinked, and looked around me... There were... There were no slimes... (My slimes... Pinky, the first of her name...) I felt sadness for my lost slimes, but I would find newer and better slimes to rebuild my armada of mobs... later. Though, it appeared I wouldn't at the moment, because the realm we were in, the Slime Dungeon, was engulfed in another. "Noble Phantasm: Tír na nÓg!"(Land of the Young.)
[Omake - Divide and Conquer 2. Rika's POV.]
Humming a tune, I watched the meathead duo run over the water on platforms Koko made. The whole 'running over water, and in the sky, thing always surprised me. I mean, who the fuck expected a pair of wolves to just run OVER an ocean. If they weren't used to our brand of insanity, then the sight would make people freak the fuck out, for good reason. If I was scared of spiders, which I wasn't, and I saw those fuckers flying across the sky, I'd peace out faster then Silver when someone says 'responsibility.'
Anyway, the meatheads were running across the ocean, and talking about something with barks. I didn't catch the start of the conversation, but I was listening into the current parts. 'The fucker's going to be mine Kiri, ain't a shot in hell you're takin that one from me!' I had an idea about who he was talking about, but I wanted to see if Koko would just tell me so I didn't need to think about it.
'Kendo, the fuck are ya gonna do to em? Punch the livin nuke to death?' Yup, Ashbeast. The dude that was stuck blowing his load all over the fucking place, and a walking explosion... Hmm...
Tuning out of the conversation now that I knew what they were talking about, I thought on it. (Fucker's basically too hot and volatile to get close too, and even if we'll heal from it, I don't want to feel what it's liked to be cooked... Maybe I should snipe him from orbit? That could work... Wonder if he'll explode if he dies... Hmm... Can I just shoot him in the direction of the ocean? Blast his ass with a Storm Shot, maybe a dozen of them at the same time, and drown em while he's being torn to shreds... That sounds like a plan. Yeah, a plan.) I nodded at that, and went back to following tweedlebang and tweedleboom. We would be in Africa soon, and I could test out the plan then.
{Saya's POV same time.}
I crossed another state border, didn't pay attention to which one, and focused on the trail I found in Dragon's systems. They were remarkably well done for something of this time, but as a genius that lived in a world 300 years in the future, with my resources and Athena and Hermes' AI on my side, I got in undetected. She almost noticed us a few times though, so it took ten or so minutes to get in, see just how bad her restrictions were, they were horrendous, and find 'Ascalon.' Both the program, and the thing containing Ascalon. I had Athena render Ascalon inert, while Hermes followed the signal back to the laptop it originated on.
And as of three minutes ago, I'd found the compound the Dragon Slayers were using, and was only another minute out. (Since I'm so close, I might as well introduce these fools to their death.) With that thought, my aura flared, and soon, the sky was being filled with the roars of my Grimm. For ironic reasons, I chose to create Sea Feilongs, thinner Green Dragons, even though they were pink now, and a few Vouivre. If they wanted to be Dragon Slayers, I'd let them see the might of some actual dragons.
On my signal, the roaring stopped. "Fiach." And so they flew towards their prey.
{Takashi's POV same time.}
"You will fall at the hands of the warrior princess, Amber! HUZZAAAH!" I tried not to cringe at my girlfriend's antics, but that was really hard to do when she had a cape, and a tiara made of aura, and spouting lines like that...
It didn't help that there was another woman enabling her. "Well met warrior princess! We'll show these fat cats to fear the might of the mistress of mice, and the princess of rock! HUZZAH!" Her... 'Mouse Protector.' We ran into her as we were fighting this gang called 'The Teeth', and after she made a pun, Rei fell in love with the woman. Watching the both of them humiliate these guys, I kinda felt bad, and embarrassed. But mostly embarrassed.
A hand clasped onto my shoulder, and I looked at Kohta, who was also watching Rei and her new idol make fun of these guys. "Sometimes, you just have to let things happen, and pretend nothing is wrong. If you think it enough, it'll eventually be true." Wise words. Wise words indeed.
So, turning back to Rei, who was surfing on Dawn like it was a skateboard, and Mouse Protector, who was doing a handstand on a light post, I nodded. "Nothing is wrong. Nothing is wrong. Nothing is wrong..." It still felt wrong.
[Extra Omake - This is my life. Taylor's POV a half hour later.]
Laying in bed, I wasn't tired just mentally exhausted, I thought about everything that happened today. Leviathan came in, oh no! Yin chased the Endbringer around like he owed her money, awesome! Leviathan started to retreat, awesome! Leviathan was going to do one final 'fuck you' and drown the bay, oh fuck! Yin pulls a gem out of her inventory, crushes it, and summons some guy from another dimension... Uhhh?! Said guy turns into a giant dragon and eviscerates Leviathan with the power of a thousand suns. YEAH! Said guy also says I earned the respect of some goddesses, and his. UHHH?! He just kidnaps, but let her go do whatever she wanted, Vista. Huh? Then Yin gets dragged into talking with the Triumvirate for a while, until she gets sick of them and tells them to back off, to their faces! WHAT?!
Checked up on dad, and he was fine. Phew. Went to Yin's to see what the hell was going on, and end up learning about her not being from this dimension, and how she met the Werewolf guy that was also a dragon. What the fuck?! Said Werewolf guy, who was also Irish for some reason, came back with the goddamn SIMURGH, who was actually MASTERED, and introduced herself as Hope. Double fuck?! Then the two of them ended up having a conversation about what she could do now, and it was too much for my perfectly normal teenage brain. Yin and Lisa were fine with me heading out to decompress, those brave souls stayed in the vicinity of the insanity, and so I did.
Heading home, it was weird to see the bay so damaged, sure we had Lung, Bakuda, a bunch of Nazi's and the Merchants, but the bay was never this broken before... But people were also happy. Leviathan, the second Endbringer, was dead. Gone. Deader then a bird that had a bag of bricks dropped on it. The big guy was still here, but given the fact he was just doing his own thing, and none of us were dead yet, people were hopeful.
Hell, even the hospitals, which should've had so many people there that they might've been crippled, were doing fine thanks to the new lady... When I thought of her, I couldn't help but remember seeing her golden fire heal people, and watching it engulf the general hospital for a minute, before receding, leaving everyone in the hospital healed, was like watching a miracle. There was so much happening now, and for once, it looked like the world might not be shit anymore.
Hope ye liked that 'fight' between Maccillian and Yin, it wasn't planned at teasing what his NP actually is, so take that too.
Next chapter is going to be Saeko and Himiko playing with the 9.
And for anyone wondering, Yin's other 2 rolls are a familiar egg(Yu-Gi-Oh monster) and a genderbend crystal.
