Chapter - 3

"Attention students! We'll be reaching the portal very soon, so be prepared!" announced Miss Alinta.

I said in my mind, "If that's the case then I need to find Princess Adriana quickly."

Turning towards Prince Samuel I asked "Your highness, can I have my sword back?"

"Oh, yes," replying this he returned back my sword to me along with a question "You're heading to find Adriana, right?"

More than a question, it seemed as if he was stating it. I just nodded as an answer.

"Don't you think you should leave her alone sometimes too? I mean, like when she's with her friends or-"

"I'm sorry your highness but I can't do that. It's my duty to be with her all the time and take care of her safety."

"...Safety, you say? If that's what bothering you then she's with my sister. Though I don't really wanna brag, but my sister is one of the best swordswoman in our whole Kingdom-"

"I know that your highness and for this I really admire her a lot. It's not like I doubt her or something like that, it's just that-" I paused.

I couldn't just tell him that though he was the fiancé and Princess Dracona was the sister-in-law of Princess Adriana, I couldn't trust on both of them. I needed some time.

"What? Why did you stop?"

"I... sorry your highness, excuse me," bowing down, I left and started searching for Princess Adriana.

While on the other hand, there was something else going in the mind of Prince Samuel "He's nothing like she had described him. He's different. He's interesting. I'm looking forward to spend more time with you, Sir Knight."

But I was immersed in something else, "What he said wasn't partially wrong but it's not like I can just slack off and do nothing. Both of us are here, in a new place and I can't rest. Enemies might be among these students too, so I need to keep my guard up no matter what."

All of a sudden I got hit with someone. Without even looking at the face of that person, I just quickly apologised "I'm sorry-" but I paused, once I saw the face of the person standing infront of me.

He was the prince of "Caelestis Kingdom" or in simple words, the "Wind Kingdom."

"Stopped as soon as you saw me. Looks like your hatred still is the same for me," he remarked with a disgusting look.

"Sorry to say, but you're wrong Prince Amphorn. It has increased a lot more."

"Hah! You're still the same Christ. You still have that same arrogance in you."

"It's specifically only for you, your highness."

"Oh, look who do we have here?" he said in his usual sarcastic tone. I turned back and was a bit surprised to see both Princess Adriana and Princess Dracona standing behind me.

It was because the situation was absolutely not good. For years, both Maren and Caelestia Kingdom had been bloodthirsty enemies of each other.

"It's the spoiled princess of Maren Kingdom," taunted Prince Amphorn.

"What did you say?!" I raged in anger.

Without even thinking for a second, I grabbed his collar and was just going to punch him, but in the mean time Princess Adriana shouted "Stop!"

I paused.

"What? Why did you stop? Scared?" he started provoking me.

She warned, "I don't want any kind of case on the first day of my academy."

I stopped and moved backward while clenching my fist tightly in anger.

"What else could I expect from the faithful dog of Maren Kingdom?"

The 'faithful dog' whom he was talking about was none other than me. I stayed silent and didn't react. Princess Adriana was preparing to leave from there along with Princess Dracona.

"It's not like she'll take stand for me or something like that..." I said to myself.

But all of a sudden she paused and commented "Atleast we have someone faithful in our Kingdom, unlike yours which doesn't have even one."

"..."

Now his mouth was shut and he had no answer. I laughed off a bit and left along with both of them. Of course she was taunting him. Originally the reason why both the Kingdoms had a dreadful relationship was partly because of the line which was mentioned by Princess Adriana just now.

It's said that nearly 14 years ago the followers of Queen Prosperine, the ruler of "Dzoavit Kingdom" or the "Demon Kingdom" had created chaos in all the other Kingdoms.

The King of "Wind Kingdom" during that time was King Scirocco, the Uncle of Prince Amphorn, who had helped Queen Prosperine and her followers in destroying other kingdoms. But in the end, he got killed along with them.

Now Prince Amphorn's father, King Zephyrine, who was the younger brother of the previous king had ascended to the throne, which meant that Prince Amphorn was the current 'Crown Prince.'

Since then, the "Wind Kingdom" didn't have good relationship with any of the kingdoms. I sometimes kind of felt sorry for them because it was their previous King who had betrayed everyone, not the citizens who had no idea about what was going on behind their backs.

But it wasn't like I could do something for them. I could only feel sorry for them. I had my duties which I had to take care of, without any mistakes.

Miss Alinta declared "We've reached here. The castle infront of you is one of the world's best elemental magic and defense academy. I welcome you all to Gwydion Academy!"

Gwydion Castle was the main building of Elemental Magic and Defense. It was was a large, five-storey high building with many towers and secret dungeons. Originally it had 5 houses which represented their respective elements, namely: Fire, Water, Air, Earth and Dark magic.

Demon Kingdom's citizens had the power to control 'Dark Magic.' After they were defeated, their name was erased from the history of Gwydion Academy. Since then, it's a prohibition to even take their kingdom's name.

"These are Ciarans," Miss Alinta said while opening a box through which numerous numbers of small circular shaped golden-coloured creatures flew out to the side of each of us.

"Ugh! What are these?!" shouted Miss Ilma. She was the daughter of the mayor of Wind Kingdom.

"Looks like you have a hearing problem Miss Ilma. No problem, I'd again repeat it for you."

Honestly speaking, I liked Miss Alinta because she wasn't someone to be messed with. She was sassy and whenever she opened her mouth, her opponent was bound to be silent. I like this bold nature of hers.

"These are Ciarans. They are small in size as their name suggests. But as a proverb says, don't judge a book by it's cover, Ciarans are not something which you can judge by just a glance of it," she continued "Show your luggage to them and then you'll be able to see their magic."

We did as she told. I put my luggage right under the Ciaran which was flying next to me. Within the blink of an eye it turned big and gulped down my luggage bag.

Miss Ilma roared "My luggage! This filthy creature ate it! I want my luggage back!"

"Miss Ilma please control the pitch of your voice otherwise I'd have to use the silent spell on you."

She quickly closed her mouth using both of her hands. All the students were laughing at this incident. It was quite funny, I guess?

"Silence!" Miss Alinta shouted.

"The work of a Ciaran is to collect heavy weighed materials. It has the ability to change it's shape according to the size of the material shown to it. Now then, who can tell me what's the maximum weight a Ciaran can carry?"

All of a sudden a girl with long black hair answered "It's 100 kg!"

"You're right, Miss Cassandra.

I don't know why, but for some reason I felt like she was human. Probably it was because of her blood? I could smell it. It was different and most importantly it was attractively.

Since childhood, I had the ability to identify the a person or creature other than the Marens just by the smell of it. According to Queen Sedna, it was because I had good smelling skills which was seen quite rare among Marens.

"Probably her blood smells different because she is a human and doesn't haven elemental powers like us," I assumed.

"Now then, everybody, quickly march inside the academy because there's a small test waiting for you."

"Test?!" everyone shouted with shocked look on their faces.
