I don't want to see his face. I don't want to hear his reaction. Being trapped here leaves me with little choice, though. I hide my face in my hands.

"Don't do that," Jerah says, "show me your expression." I feel him grab my wrists, tugging at them softly.

I look up to find the softest, happiest expression I have ever seen on him. His eyes are sparkling, the most honest smile on his face.

He moves his hands to my own. "I love you, with every atom of my being, from the moment I met you. Please be mine," he continues softly, clutching them tightly.

This seems surreal, more like a dream. "Huh?"

For a few seconds, I wait for him to start laughing, something to show it's a joke. But he doesn't. "Yes?" While it would normally take days for me to process stuff like this, I quickly find myself too happy to care. "Yes!"

I let go of his hands so I can fling my arms around him, absolutely ecstatic. I bury my face in his neck, as I can't help but smile as bright as I possibly can.
