The dinner with my parents is uncomfortably quiet. They keep eyeing me and Jerah, then give each other looks. It bothers me, but it seems like our guest barely notices it.
"What's wrong?" I decide to ask them after a few minutes of silent stares.
"You look... tired, I guess. Did we wake you up?" my mother answers.
"What do you mean? I haven't taken a nap," I frown.
She looks at my father, then hums. "Alright. So, how was your day? Anything happened?"
"N-nothing much. It was a normal day as always..." I lie, feeling Jerah's gaze on me. Please don't get angry...
My mom hums again. Silence fills the room after. My parents, normally very formal to our guests, are now only secretively conversing with each other in soft whispers, which is pretty rude in my opinion.
For this reason, I want to leave the table as soon as possible, before the blond starts disliking them. However, when I get up, my parents tell me to stay.
