A bit nervous, I stand in front of the door of Jerah's house. I wonder if he and his brother really are on good terms now? And I also feel a little guilty about knowing the mom of the little kids, while they barely know her themselves. Especially since she lives at my house...
But as soon as the door opens, I see the kids jump up, coming towards us to greet us, and it makes me feel better instantly. It really has taken them little time to warm up to me, but I'm glad they have.
Four go and hug their big brother first, who greets them with a smile, making my heart skip a beat. The fifth one cries out happily from the couch, where Aki's sitting with him.
Though still clinging to their big brother, they start to turn their attention to me, yelling out their greetings and accomplishments for the day.
"Welcome home," Aki says as we walk towards the living room.
