I turn around and find my now ex-girlfriend's childhood friend, Eva, with her husband. "What're you doing?" 


"Who the fuck are you, and why is it your business?" Jerah immediately gets defensive. 


"I'm the best friend of his girlfriend," she replies calmly. 


"His ex-girlfriend, you mean?" he huffs. 


"Nuriel, explain," Eva turns her attention back to me. 


I want to tell her the truth so badly. How Kiara and I were never in love. How she has only ever yearned for her, but kept silent. She watched her fall in love, date, and even get married. She was the bridesmaid at their wedding. All while she has been suffering. 


But I know that Kiara would hate me forever. She doesn't want Eva to know. That woman will never love her back. Kiara wants to stay her childhood friend. And I respect that.
