I haven't talked to Kiara or Eva ever since that day. I hope the former's alright, but I'm afraid that if I dare text her both Jerah and Eva will hunt me down.

That's not something I should be worrying about today, though. Not on one of the happiest days for one of my best friends. Christine's getting married to Joanne, two years after their engagement.

As her closest friend, I have been honored with being allowed to be her bridesman, something I've never done or seen before, which makes it quite scary. As her personal mental support, I should be calm and collected. I'm not.

"You look more nervous than me. Are you the one marrying here?" Christine laughs.

"I told you, I've never done this before! I'm afraid I'll fuck up the best day of your life. If only Jexie was here," I sigh.

"Say that one more time and I'll smack you," she warns me. "I told you. I never forgot that day and how terrible you looked. Now don't ruin my mood by talking about that fuckass."
