The next morning is one of the most uncomfortable mornings I've had. From the moment I wake up, an uneasy pain burns through my behind, spreading through my back. Jerah's attempt to apparently crush me in his arms doesn't make it any better.

I push against him, trying to escape his painful hug, accidentally waking him up in the process.

"Good morning," he mumbles, ignoring my struggles.

"That hurts, Jexie," I tell him, after which he finally gives me some space. Immediately, I roll onto my back, then find out that that is a great mistake, as it shoots a jolt of pain along my spine.

While quickly turning on my stomach, Jerah snorts. "What are you doing?"

"Please hand me my phone," I groan, "I definitely can't make it to the meeting with the band tonight."

"Didn't you say you were off today?" he frowns, throwing my phone next to me.
