None of the kids seem to notice anything. Despite the weird way we came in and the uncomfortable way I'm sitting down. Guess that's another benefit of having children this young.
Even when Kaori and Aki return, they don't say anything. Not about the fact that I am barely wearing anything, or that Jerah keeps pushing the kids off when they try to get on me. Which is a good thing, because sitting alone is hard enough for me.
Nobody ever talks about what comes after. It hurts, they say, but they don't say 'and it hurts for the next 24 hours as well'. Would've been nice to know beforehand.
"Kaori, I've been meaning to ask you for a while now, but wasn't there something you wanted to talk about?" I ask her as she walks by us.
"Ah, you remember? Aki kept telling me you'd get mad, so I never brought it up again," she answers.
"Well, I overheard you saying something weird to Hana," I admit. "I was wondering what you meant."
