"The problem is those wards. If they didn't have those in place we could easily-"

Asha was cut off by a loud crash that echoed throughout the cell as the door was thrown open and Penelope was tossed inside, pale-faced and bleeding. For a moment, the entire group was silent, the only sound being Penelope's heavy breathing as she fought to stay conscious after so much blood loss.

However, that turned out to be the calm before the storm. Two of the angels, Terrance and Valerie, lunged for their fallen sister frantically, while the others began ripping up their shirts for makeshift bandages. However, one person didn't move.

Camilla still sat against the wall, staring wide-eyed at her friend. She and the demons stayed unmoving, watching with hard gazes.

The way Lizbeth saw it, none of them felt obligated to help the angel, regardless of the severity of her wounds. In fact, it was partly her fault they were here in the first place.
