The cell was dead silent, and yet there was a sort of buzzing that seemed to fill everyone's ears.
The angels avoided all eye contact with Aries, eyes flitting around the cell or to each other. The demons only stared into their own laps.
Finally, Valerie cleared her throat and managed to find her voice. "I-I'm very sorry to hear that, Aries." Her voice was quiet.
Aries only shook his head. "Well, there's my grudge against all of you. I'm done," he leaned back against the wall, watching Valerie's reaction with hooded eyes.
The brunette only lowered her gaze for a moment, shaking her head before drawing in a shallow breath. "Now that all of that's out of the way, I think we can agree that... most of the issues are just things we've been taught about each other and nothing actually concrete."
Terrance shifted his sitting position, frowning. "Yeah, Val's right. If I'm being honest, you guys aren't all that bad." He shifted his deep green gaze to Shawn. "With a few exceptions."
