Chapter 5

Chapter 5: Chelle

Time: 7 p.m.

"How are you, girls?" Arc asked, looking at my two girl friends. He smiled.

Vien and Chelle are close to my family and they are not treated differently or with awkwardness anymore. Especially Chelle who's really close to my brothers.

We're all in the dining room of our house, eating the dinner made by mom and our cooks.

I unintentionally tilted my head to my side and took a glance at Cal and saw him intently looking at Vien like it's the first time he saw her.

What's with this kid? My brows furrowed. There's something weird. I already noticed the he looked earlier at Vien and even teased him. My brow raised a bit and my forehead creased as I focus my eyes on my plate. He's still with his weird act.

I discreetly looked at Vien who seemed a bit uncomfortable on her seat. What's with these two?

I tried to shrugged off what I'm thinking and averted my gaze to Chelle who's busy talking with my parents and Arc.

"Yes, Tito(Uncle). Actually.. I'm planning to continue my studies abroad. My dad even offered me to go in Europe right now. But I refused..." I didn't know she has this plan. And I'm stunned.. and tho, I didn't understand what they are fully talking about, I felt the eagerness to asked her right now. Does this mea-- "because I know that Casselle will go abroad next year.. and I want to go the same time Casselle will do."

My eyes widened.

I was beyond surprise and happy at the same.. that I won't be alone when I move there.

I deeply inhaled a deep breath of air. I'm just so shock! She never told us about this!

I looked at Vien and saw her eyes widening too. Our eyes met and I saw her face glistened with surprise.

I composed myself and continued listening.

"Hmm.. that was a good idea. I love it! Our baby won't be alone anymore." Mom said, happiness was written all over her voice.

I am too!

I saw my dad smiling. He, too, seemed so happy about it - that I won't be deserted in a country without anyone I know.

"You will take the same course?" Arc asked Chelle.

"Yes.. and France is the best." She said with so much jollyness in her voice. I saw Arc smiled and chuckled. Very uncommon for him to do.

"Gosh.. why didn't you tell me... I'm still beyond shock right now." I said to Chelle.

We just got in my room after our fantastic dinner.

In my peripheral vision, I saw Vien pouting and walking towards my couch. I glance at her and saw her face looking sad. I can actually read what's on her mind and what is bothering her right now. I made Chelle face me by holding her shoulders.

"So?" She said, laughing. I rolled my eyes.

"You're so annoying." I said as I left her where she stands, still laughing.

"Because it was supposed to be a surprise! But I can't keep my secret from your family!" She said, hugging me.

I shook my head. That was just so true and I often notice that.

"So.. are you really sure about this? No more doubts.. like..." I halted.

"Like what?"

"Like.. what if I will not pursue my course there anymore? Will you still go?"

Ugh! I'm just a bit confused. Like what if.. Dec won't really let me.. yes, I know it is still my decision, my choice. But what if because of this, our relationship will just suddenly vanish like bubbles?

"What!?" Her eyes widened. "No way... Are you giving me an idea that you're not sure anymore about this!?"

I glared at her, "Can you freaking lower your high-pitch voice? I'm just beside you." I rolled my eyes and looked at nowhere. Taking a deep breath of air, I answered her, "No, I'm just saying. Dec wanted me to just study here."

I glanced at her and saw her grimacing, "Duh, you have your own choices. But.. if you won't continue your study there, then I would just study here too." I saw her disappointed face. She faced me and pouted her lips.

I bit my lip. I'm a bit guilty.

I let out a loud sigh and said, "Let's not make it a big deal. Besides, I'm just confuse but not doubting about my decision..." She raised a brow. "Well, maybe a bit." I can't help but to chuckle when she shook her head like she was frowning at me inside her head.

We looked at Vien and saw her looking nowhere. Like she was thinking about something.

"Hey, you okay?" I asked and hugged her, Chelle hugged her too. She looked at us and smiled widely, but her eyes doesn't show the same. "Don't worry we'll pay for your vacation when you want to go there." I smiled.

"Thank you..." She halted, I looked at her and saw her teary eyes. "I'm just sad that I'm gonna be left here."

"Don't be sad. You won't be left out even though we're far away." Chelle mumbled as I felt her making her hug towards Vien tighter.

After a while, "Okay, enough with this drama." I spoke. "Let's start."

The first thing we did is we preapred all the things we might and should use. And started wrapping the box again and again until it gets bigger.

We laugh hard as we realize what might be his reaction gonna be if he started unwrapping this infinite boxes with infinite gift wrappers.

"I'm sure he would decline it if he got tired." I glared at Chelle while finalizing the gift we made for about 1 and half an hour. When she saw my reaction her laugh worsen.

"You're so funny." I said with a poker face and glared at her.

"I'm excited." Vien said, smiling.

"You should video him while he's opening this." Chelle suggested, her brows wiggling.

I nodded and smirked at what she said, "Yeah, I would do that." I said, smiling.

I'm starting to wonder what would he feel about this.. like what would he react.. like would he be shocked, would he be happy or excited or what.. something like those.

"Thanks for this idea, sissies." I said, lovingly looking at the gift.

"No problem, we're always here to help you and you're welcome." Chelle said.

"I'm happy doing these things for you, you're welcome." Vien said.

This gift will be kept in Chelle's house until his birthday is not yet happening. I should be safe rather than taking a risk hiding this in my room that he will possibly or unintentionally see. And if that happens it won't be a surprise moment anymore but a ruined time.

"My brother is asking me about you." Vien said to me, not minding that I'm wearing my clothes and almost naked. I just finished taking a short bath and here she is telling me about her handsome, friendly brother.

His brother was two years younger than me which means he's 15. Just one year older than Cal and Casslie.

"About what?" I asked and went out of my wardrobe. She was following me while combing her middle length black, curly hair with my brush.

"If how's my beautiful friend. He was asking if he has a chance." She mumbled, she was slightly chuckling.

"HAhhh!" I let out an exasperated sigh. I can't help but to chuckle a bit too and at the same time feel sad for him. "I already told him that he's too young for m--"

Her words stopped me, "Like you being too young for Dec?" She said, laughing.

"Don't bring that up. It's not my topic." I said, dismissing what she was saying. I glared at her and she being what she really is, she just smirked teasingly. "So as I was 'saying', he's too young for me and I don't like him cause I'm.. I'm--"

"Your what?" She spat with her annoying smile again.

"I'm like.. I'm something like.. reserved."

"Reserved, okay. Anything to add up? So he can now moved on with his life and stop liking you like a fanboy."

"Tell this to him: 'Yes, he's handsome, kind and caring as I observe him always asking me about things and being thoughtful in school and when he chats me, but I really just don't have any more reasons why I don't like him, I just don't. He's too young and I want a man matured than me."

"You mean older?" Chelle said as she went out from my closet because my bathroom is connected with it.

"Y-yes." I said and they both laugh.

"Continue." Chelle said. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Tell him I'm politely saying no to him.. and... reasonably."

"Reasonably?" Chelle said with mockery in her voice while her lips twitching for a teasing smirk.
