He's Loved?

The sudden wind made me flinch, the lady from behind followed both me and, my sister. Her voice was recognized when she spoke once again, "Hey, mister!" I was surprised when she continued to talk to me, It was kind of bothering me? "You're going on the wrong road, there is a construction going on there..." she spoke, giving us the message. I nodded and answered, looking down at the cool shoes she wore. "yeah, thank you for the information, you can leave now." She left with the creaking sound of her cycle. I continued to walk along with my sister. She spoke later when we reached a mile away from our house, "Rich, Can I be honest?" I bobbed my head and let her continue. She spoke making my heart melt, "I missed you, I miss what we had, Remember when we used to go around the book stores? I miss us." I was a sensitive brother, I always thought, how could a person just one year younger than me understand me better than anyone?

I replied with my eyes tearing, It felt like my little sister was missing me for so long, it was an unusual feeling for me. I felt like she was growing up so fast. Patting her soft hair, I replied, "I know, I miss it too, we're growing up, right? so, that does feel like we're falling apart, but we aren't. Let's go to a store tomorrow, will you join me?" She nodded, thumping her feet in excitement. I felt so loved by her. Being a sensitive male, it seemed like the right person stuck in the wrong situation. Following that, we both left back home.

I tucked myself under the bedsheet, Elle joined me to cuddle. She was also one of the beloved things that made me comfortable. I slept warmly, without any thoughts in my head except for the one thought of the lady from the street. "was she beautiful?" "her voice was so comforting." "Did I miss out on the chance?" These kinds of thoughts arise, and these were also few in my case. Because Just Like I told you, I wasn't a person of love. But, I guess the end of the day, we're all humans.

I woke up early the next morning so that my pizza delivery doesnt get delayed. Yes, Im a pizza delivery boy too. I joined it recently, it was tiring at the start, but to overcome my problem of being highly introverted, I continued to do it. Now, I'm quite comfortable with doing it, Doesnt feels tiring also. Wearing my uniform I went off the house with my dad's bike. I reached the restaurant and continued to wait for the pizza. Until then, I tried controlling my anxiety with deep breaths. I counted, "1...2...3...4.." And a sudden push from the door behind me made me fall to the ground.

I certainly didn't look at who did that, but, I knew they were in a hurry, Just like every day I let it go. But the lady kneeled and questioned me, "Are you okay?" I nodded trying to cover my face with the mask I wear often. I wasn't so focused on anything. The lady questioned me once again, "excuse me, but do I know you?" I shook my head and helped myself get out of there. I packed the pizza and started driving to the given address, "the scent!" I recognized, that she was the one from the book store and also, the same person from last night. But it had nothing to with, right now. I clicked my tongue and continued to do my work.

I parked my bike and walked towards the address of my customer. I knocked at the door expecting to give eye contact with someone, finally. But I hesitated at first, I spoke as a little girl opened the door, "pizza-" she interrupted me saying, "I'll call my mom." I sighed with the level of patience I carry. Her mother came in, she smiled at me, I tried looking her in the eyes, she questioned, "Where's the Pizza?" I nodded, panicking. "Yes, ma'am here it is." I placed the box of pizza on the bike, taking it and giving it to her hands was a huge task for me. "pfft, let's do this." My hands were clearly trembling, I walked towards her and gave it into her hands, and there was more to go. The box of pizza fell off from the customer's hands, I was shaking and didn't know what to respond, "what do I do?" I talked to myself. She yelled at me, "Why you're all so awkward while serving us the pizza? huh? Dont you have a minimum sense of proper delivery dont you know how it's done?" I silently nodded and apologized. And this wasn't new, it was just a new thing to make myself feel bad about.

Fortunately, I was lucky to have an understanding co-worker, he came after a while to replace the pizza. He cleared the misunderstanding and, we both left to continue our work. The next delivery was near, I was shocked when I read the name of my customer, "Mrs. Celie"

The author I have been dreaming to meet, I was more than excited to read out the name, but there were many of 'Celie's in this world, how could I know if she's the one.

I drove to her home, it was pretty huge and had many cars parked down. My instinct just knew it was her, obviously. I knocked at huge doors and also rang the bell, I continued to wait patiently. The doors opened and a lady questioned, "Pizza delivery?" I nodded and gave it into her hands, She questioned, "Thank you, I hope you have a great day, I know it must be tiring, isn't it? Thank you for being strong, here's your money and tip." No, but I have never felt so comforted by anyone talking to me like that. My eyes were softened to look at her in the eyes, By the time I tried to give her a reply or eye contact, she left.
