Chapter Twenty

Eun Yoonwoo is a man in his late 20's like Sam, probably a year or two older, which makes me wonder how he got to be the C.E.O of the company as large as this at his age.

Was it an inheritance?

He has a smooth, clear ivory skin tone with a pointed nose and small pouty lips. He towers over my 5'8ft with his 6'4ft height and I had to crane my neck back just to stare at him when I shook his hand, I've been sitting silently on a plush couch while Sam explained everything to him, and I mean everything.

I had reservations about what he needed to know, but Sam opposed keeping things from him. He wants his friend to know what he's dealing with before contracts are signed.

There was a brief moment of surprise in his eyes when Sam talked, but he otherwise stayed quiet with a stoic expression on his handsome face. "Alright, I understand everything you've said and am still interested in a contract with the two of you."

Sam leans back in his seat in relief while I sat quietly by his side, turning to me with a penetrating stare Mr Yoonwoo asks. "I have to ask Lana, are you ready to sign a contract with me?"

I lean forward, elbows on my knees, lips twisted in thought before an answer slips from my lips. "Mr Yoonwoo, I won't beat around the bush with you. I don't trust you and I'm more than hesitant to work with you because of that."

Sam turns to me with a glare while Mr Yoonwoo settles back with a look of intrigue in his eyes. "Lana, you can't say that–"

"But," I turn to Sam with a glare of my own. "I'm willing to put whatever suspicion I have aside and follow Sam's lead because I trust him and his decisions. He's always been there for me and he has always directed me well all through the years I've worked with him. Not once have I ever had a reason to complain."

Turning to Mr Yoonwoo, I continue. "If working with Slim-Jim has taught me one thing, it's that I have to be careful who I mix business with and to plan well or else my career will be the one at stake. Right now I can't be choosy about who I want to sign with, but I at least want the Masked Queen to come out secure with a strong knight by her side. If you are able and willing to be that knight, on a few terms of ours, then I am ready to sign a contract with K.S Entertainment."

I raise a brow, waiting for a reply, and after a few minutes of him just staring at me a small smile stretches out on his lips.

Sam grins triumphantly and I settle back, relaxing a little. "State your terms and I will quickly draw up a contract. I want you to face this Kevin guy perfectly secure."

He walks to the black desk behind the armchair he was settled in, pressing a button on the intercom he orders his secretary to call for the company's lawyer.

My cellphone rings in my bag and I picked it up without looking at the screen. "Hello?"

"Hello Lana, it's me, Kevin Dean."

Eyes wide, I turn to both of them in alarm. I put the phone down a fraction and whisper. "It's him!"

Mr Yoonwoo mouths for me to put it on speaker and I immediately nodded, obeying. "Am calling because of our scheduled meeting. I'm in my office at Starlight Entertainment and I want you to come here so we can talk some more."

"I can't right now–"

"No excuses Lana, I don't have all day. I have things to do and I would like to get this meeting over and done with, now if you want "you know what" to continue being kept a secret I suggest you come here immediately."

Sam scowls at Kevin's demanding tone and was about to say something when Mr Yoonwoo beat him to it, he collects the phone from my hand and turns off the speakerphone.

"Hello Kevin Dean, this is Eun Yoonwoo of K.S Entertainment. Do you know me?" He pauses, listening for a minute before responding.

"Good, I'd love it if you could come to K.S Entertainment immediately. It has come to my attention that you're threatening one of my models."

Whatever Kevin said in response must have irritated him because he narrows his eyes in anger and demanded. "I suggest you head over to my agency if you want to talk terms with me!" He cuts the call after that and turns to us with a sigh. "There, it's done. Now onto more pressing business."

For the next hour, Sam and I discussed terms with Mr Eun Yoonwoo and his lawyers, listening and agreeing with some of his conditions before the meeting ended and his lawyers promised to draw up a contract with our terms as soon as possible.

When the meeting was over, Mr Yoonwoo had his assistant show me around while he talks privately with Sam, I was made aware when Kevin arrived an hour later but decided to forgo that particular tumble.

When we were done with the tour, Mr Yoonwoo's secretary led me to a meeting room with the message that Kevin brought along "guests" and he wants me present with them in the meeting room.
