Trinty village

Ryan showed us the little village. There really are residents here, despite being such a hidden place. He showed us some interesting places that help the challengers of the Tower, a bakery, a blacksmith, a tavern with an inn, and some small shops of various types. I still can't understand how they get resources in a place like this, but they seem well established and active with all the movement that is going on. Then, after having crossed the city, he showed a path to see what was ahead.

- You can move on, be careful on your adventure!

So Ryan said goodbye to us and I think he went back to his post. We went to the end of the trail and stopped in front of the Tower. It is extremely huge when you are close to it and even if you are next to it, it is not possible to see its top.

- Good sirs, you have arrived at your destination, good luck from now on.

I gave a wave and turned my back.

- Wait Lyunil!

I stopped but didn't turn around.

- What is it, Kaule?

- We still need one more little favor ...

- And what would it be ?!

- We need you to open the door for us.

- You're kidding me, right?

- I wouldn't do that at a time like this. Unfortunately it is necessary for you to open it for us to enter, we do not know the reason, but it is the condition that was given to us.

- Ah ... - I took a long breath - I think it's time to talk calmly.

I asked to walk around the village while we talked.

Walking between houses and stores, we could see people going from one place to another, children playing and talking from everywhere. Noisy, but did not dispel the silence. Agitated, but did not prevent discouragement. So I started talking first while the others were following me:

- Could you tell me what you received from the message in your dream or vision?

I would have to face this at one time or another, because despite knowing my past they showed no sign of importance for this or for me, so they really came because of the Tower.

Haule took the floor for the other two and said:

- It must have been like this for everyone: after the moment of greatest despair, I ended up extinguishing due to fatigue and effort, both mental and physical. Then a dream, or a vision, arose that rekindled the soul before it gave up moving on. A chance, totally ridiculous if you analyze the moment as it was, but that really made you still feel hope, a voice saying the following words, while visions appeared from what you were saying, "Soul destroyed by destiny, here is your redemption. At the top of the Tower, find your hope and your refuge within it. Go to the western forests and you will find your guide, a young man, the last survivor of the Akinikai clan. He will open the doors to you of the one who waits to fulfill your requests, because it has been given the name and the power to grant everything that the hearts seek from the depths of hearts, you will know and remember forever the one who changed your destiny, the Tower of Desires ". Having received this message, I was able to see images of the Tower and that there would be more people who would come after you, but for me the important thing was to have the chance to try to reach the top, since I have nothing more to lose.

Then I turned to the others:

- Was it the same for you?

And they nodded yes. Stopping to think about it now that I heard this story, I'm not really the cause of all this, but I still don't understand why I should be the guide for these people, did everyone who came before us need any kind of guide? No, I remember well that Ryan had said that there were people who came alone and they could not be guides of themselves. The only way to really find out is by entering the Tower, but it becomes too obvious that:

- When I enter through that door I will also be forced to participate in the Tower challenge, right?

Kaule seems to agree with me in his expression:

- I'm not sure, but I think that because you were chosen as our guide, the Tower wants you to participate in its challenges.

- But unfortunately I do not want to participate in her challenges, because although I have nothing to lose like you, I still have love for my life and I would not like to waste it for nothing, since I only have one.

- But there is nothing you want?

- I already said that I do not believe in a miraculous magic tower, but if you want to hear it so much: No, there is nothing that I desire, there is nothing that I look for, I just want to survive one day at a time until ...

- Until? …

- Until you pay for all the mistakes I made. But in any case, I have no interest in this Tower or in what it has to offer. Try to sleep again, use some magic or anything you can to talk to whoever called you here and tell them to choose someone else who is more interested in helping you.

- Lyunil…

Before I could continue any other phrase, I decided to withdraw from them, I turned my back and walked towards the bridge we had passed when we entered, but I could still hear Raild saying:

- Leave him, not even a miracle can change this head on, let's try to find another way to enter the Tower.

Then they also turned and headed for the Tower, so we parted as far as possible.

Arriving at the bridge, I could see Ryan sitting watching some kind of book, it was about to get dark and as I didn't want to talk to anyone, just be alone, so I didn't even look at him and tried to avoid him as much as I could, but:

- Something wrong, Lyunil?

- Look, I'm not in the mood for…

- Is there anything wrong with wanting nothing?

- Are you our conversation?

- No, but I could see it on his face when we first met: "there is nothing I want".

- Exactly, I really don't want anything, so don't worry about me, you can go back to your book.

So I continued to walk.

- But wouldn't you like to find out what your heart desires?

Then I froze for a few seconds, I felt a spark inside me.

- Like this? What do you mean by that ?!

- You said there is nothing you want, but the same goes for your heart?

- You say that as if it were something separate from each other, but there is nothing that my heart desires too !!

I said it out loud as I turned to him.

- If that's true, then how do you explain these tears coming out of your eyes?

When he said that I realized that I was on the verge of crying. How could I not have noticed that? I started to wipe away as much tears as I could, but Ryan didn't want to let that moment pass:

- There is nothing wrong with not knowing what we want, because what we seek is not always what we need, but in these tears it shows the request of his soul, of his heart. A chance to be heard, to be filled with what she really needs.

- And how am I supposed to know what can fill her void? All these years I have had nothing to help me and it will not be a Tower that will solve this with the snap of a finger.

- Probably not, but maybe the journey that awaits you can help you with that.

- You're saying those guys? I can't trust them even for some simple favor, as you expect them to help me with personal problems.

- But aren't you tired of continuing to live in solitude and insecurity?

- Me …

I couldn't continue my sentence, my lips stopped and I started to feel cold in my hands.

- You don't have to be friends with them, but for someone who has no direction it is better than wandering around.

- Do I look so miserable having such a life?

I tilted my head down and didn't know if I was sad or ashamed of having to admit it. Ryan, however, stood up and said:

- This is your chance to take a journey that, I suppose, you haven't taken until today. A journey to discover yourself for real, to know who you really are and the reason for continuing to live in this world.

I could feel that my eyes started to shine and my body started to get excited about it all.

- Maybe that's your wish hahaha - he gave a little laugh when he saw me like that - I'm going out on patrol now, I wish you luck on your journey!

He gave a wave and walked towards the forest. I was motionless for a few seconds, but I ended up reacting on impulse:

- Ryan!

I looked at him and he stopped without turning to me and saying nothing.

- Thanks…

Without turning around, he waved his hand again as if he were just saying until next time and even though he couldn't see his face, he could see his smile, and then he entered the forest.

I decided to stay there on the bridge for the time being, looking at the reflection of the moon in the stream water.

- I really didn't expect this village!

I said that to myself while letting out a small smile.
