The sound of a calm flowing stream could be heard throughout the whole forest, catching anybody's attention with its mirror like surface and ocassional ripples.
As a matter of fact, the water reflected a young boys face that sat right across the lake with unseen patience. The boy had unruly pitch black hair reaching his neck, with several bangs sticking out covering parts of his face.
His eyes even though closed at the moment, had a piercing grey hue to them along with obvious knowledge and wisdom that didn't belong to a child of his age.
The boy held a fishing rod in his hands with a steady grip, he had done so for the past couple hours.
The hook of the fishing rod had a redworm attached to the opposite end, which was submerged into the water.
"Finally" the boy spoke at last, he sensed some fish growing closer and closer to the bait. He waited for the fish to bite the bait.
His patience paid off as the fish finally bit the hook.
Out of nowhere, he could feel the fishing line being pulled into the water by the fish with incredible force. He quickly stood up from the floor with clear excitement in his eyes.
"Its a big one!" taking a deep breath, he fastened his grip on the fishing rod and buried his feet into the ground.
He pulled with all his strength and raised the pole into the air, making the fish swing out of the water with a huge splash of water.
Looking at the size of the fish it could easily fill entire families. The fish however still kept fighting for its life, trying to slowly enter the lake again and come free from the hook of the fishing rod.
"Damm it, just how much time have I spent doing this?" In frustration he asked himself.
[To answer the Host's questions, you have spend approximately 132 Hours, 30 minutes and 17 seconds on fishing]
"There it goes answering useless questions again, I have been stuck with this thing for quite some time now" He said with an annoyed voice.
'Not that I actually had any say in getting it'
He still remembers the day the 'incident' happened, exactly three years ago. The day that changed his life for better or worse.
That exact day the whole Osamu Mountain was on a constant attack from the military barrage of rain droplets.
The skies were filled with dark and ominous clouds along with bright currents of lightning giving off the occasional flashes to declare its dominance over the thunder.
Unfortunately, a certain six year old boy was lost in the forests of the mountain and he wasnt alone.
"Ughh..."
Groaning in pain a boy of young age opened his eyes with quite the effort. His eyes felt as if they were made up of lead. And so, he opened his eyes only to be greeted by the sight of a mutilated bear corpse.
"Aaah!..."
Out of pure reflex a scream escaped his mouth, luckily it wasnt loud enough to attract unwanted attention. With panic in his movements he quickly covered his mouth with his hands as not to accidentally release any sound.
Looking around he saw what looked like the inside of a cave, there were some muddy footprints of a bear still firmly imprinted on the ground along with claw marks on the sides of the wall.
The claw marks looked unnatural as if being nor human nor animal. That however didnt matter, what mattered was to quickly leave this place.
'How did I get here in the first place?' the boy didnt remember how he ended up inside the cave.
He did his best to calm himself and stood up, although his eyes accidentally met the corpse of the bear again. Looking closer, he quickly noticed something was off.
First of all, the bears jaw was crushed as if by brute force. Not to mention it looks like the bear didnt even have a chance to fight back.
Out of curiosity he stepped even closer to the corpse, he noticed that the claw slashes on the bears stomach were similar to the claw marks on the sides of the wall.
'How did this happen?'
Just as he was about to investigate even further his question was answered. He sensed something, something evil...something dangerous.
He could feel the presence of that 'thing' getting closer and closer. Every single cell inside his body was telling him to run or atleast hide but he couldn't.
His body became stiff and he froze in fear with cold sweat running down his back. His eyes looked into the empty darkness, and somehow managed to work out the silhouette of a figure.
The figure walked out and finally revealed itself, it had dark red skin, two curved horns on his head and worst of all the most sharp looking nails the boy had ever saw. They could be compared to real blades.
Looking closer he could see something dripping down the hands of the demon. It was blood...Blood!..Real human blood!
Before he could even realise the type of situation he was in, the demon spoke.
"Well look who finally woke up, I thought I accidentally hit you too hard"
"Wouldn't want my next meal to turn cold, now would I?"
He didnt know what to do, say or think. He had obviously heard rumours of demons before, from his friends and some elderly people in the town. He always thought they were just stories...but now looking infront of himself he was speechless.
Suddenly, the demon dissapeared from the boys sight. He looked around himself just to check if his eyes werent deceiving him.
Unfortutanely they weren't, was the conclusion he came to as he heard a voice filled with twisted joy, not from behind or above instead right in front of him.
"Whats with that look on your face, arent you gonna run?"
The demon spoke yet again with malice in his voice, now that the demon came closer he realised one thing. Theres no way in hell he's surviving today without a miracle happening.
Knowing his death was close and very certain, the fear and pressure he felt before dissapeared. Taking a deep breath he looked right into the demons eyes, into his black catlike eyes that eminated sheer power and said.
"I'm not go..."
What followed after was the demon cutting of the boy mid sentence as he fiercely thrusted his palm into his stomach.
He could feel a tremendous force being sent throughout his whole body that violently threw him across the cave all the way to the opposite end.
He crashed into the wall with his back taking the full force of that impact while coughing up blood as he fell to the ground.
Cough! Cough!
Rolling in pain on the cold hard ground the boys vision started bluring.
After that attack the boy realised his mistake...He had no right to do anything right now. All he could was to hope, beg and wish that the demon would spare him, although that didnt seem like an option.
"Did I say you can talk? You know what I changed my mind, I was planning to just bite off a few fingers every day or two. I'm just going to kill you now"
The demon shook his head as if he was offering the boy a great deal, and sprang at the boy with his mouth fully open, trying to devour him whole.
Close to death he felt his head getting dizzy and his breathing getting uneven. The demon was just seconds away from his razor-sharp teeth reaching his next possible meal.
Suddenly, he saw a black and blue game like interface appearing in front of him. The interface read...
