Meeting and Veldora

(Akihito POV)

—Tempest—

Today Rimuru was supposed to be waking up. Shuna and Rigurd planned on having a festival, and they gathered everyone to be there when he awoke.

The demon Black was the one to tell us this. While people were initially creeped out at the three demons, they let it go seeing that they were just being here for Rimuru.

Everyone was still setting things up. They also went hunting for huge animals too cook up. We had them in ice till it was night time. It was already the afternoon and right now Me and Mia were just relaxing against a tree on a hill. Well an artificial hill that I made. Meh, a hills a hill. Mia liked messing with my hair and doing different hairstyles in it so I didn't cut it like I usually would any let it grow.

It stopped at my shoulders for now. I on the other hand was experimenting with my powers on a small world I made in my hands. I was messing with the weather and stuff, tides, living things. I made some humans, but once I gave them consciousness and they looked up to see a huge purple eye looking down on them they die from their heart stopping in fear.

"Have you thought about how you'll tell Rimuru you destroyed the kingdom of Famas?" Mia asked as she put my hair into a bun.

"I'll just tell him. I mean, what was he going to do with them anyways?" I asked as I picked up a pebble and dropped it on the small planet.

"Well he does have the king locked up in the dungeo, so what if he was planning on something with him?"

With a sigh I turned to look at her with an expression say "Are you serious?"

"HE won't do anything to him, but I think he'll let Shion take out some revenge and anger." I said turning back around.

Just as Mia was about to reply Black appeared before us.

"Sorry to disturb your alone time together, but Ms. Shuna had requested your audience." He said elegantly.

"You don't gotta be so formal." I said as we got up.

"I was told that you were his "bestie" with the same status." He informed me.

"Oh, well, you can drop all that and call me Akihito. I don't like being overly formal." I said. He nodded and sunk into his shadow.

"I wonder if we should summon a demon?" Mia said as we walked.

"Hmm, we could, but what would be the point? Well actually, I might have a purpose for one." I said as I smiled a little.

"What "use" do you have in mind?" Mia asked as skeptically. I might have done some questionable things in this life, but I've never done anything cruel for no reason.

"To represent us. Like a champion, if someone wants to fight us they would have to get past him or her." I said.

"…seems like a fun idea, but how are you planning on getting one. I doubt Zarathos would just let you take a damned soul and free it."

"You're right. That's why I'm going to go to a different place to get one. Remember, Zarathos only took Mephisto's domain which he claimed to be hell and it basically was, but it wasn't ACTUALLY hell. There are tons of different hells, I just have to find on." I said plainly.

"So we're going to steal a demon from hell? This is bout the craziest idea you've had in a while." She said nodding her head.

"Hmm, I can certainly get even crazier."

"Oh please."

We arrived in the capital where Shuna was to see what was up. Basically, Rimuru should be waking up in the next fee minutes, she wanted us to already be here.

Everyone was gathered with Rimuru sitting in Shion's lap. Suddenly his body twitching he'd a bit then we saw him look up to Shion who was looking back at him with a smile.

"Eh, it worked!!" Rimuru exclaimed as he looked at Shion.

"Not only me, the whole city was brought back to life without missing one person!" Shion said as she showed him the crowd of monsters around them.

Everyone cheered and smiled happily seeing him. The demons weren't there though. They seems to be around the central area of the capital.

'Well it would be weird to be here for them.'

After that the festival took place and everyone enjoyed themselves for the day. The demon Black was named Diablo and his two subordinates were sent back to the spirit realm.

Treyni and her two sisters came and had fun as well. I, however, wasn't a party person, so I wasn't in the main party and instead was in the conference building reading a theory book about one magic can be proceeded into something less consuming, but more potent.

It was a nice theory, but the way it was being described was a bit confusing. They were having a drinking contest as well, but rly they were just trying to get Mia and Rimuru drunk. Of course it was impossible, since he's a slime and Mia's regeneration was crazy.

I was still taking peeks though. Just to make sure nothing would happen, I even had a thought of looking into the future to be certain.

Then I realized I'm caring about something so small a little too much. I also noticed I've been keeping the same human mindset for a while. I summed up the fact that I carried about this so much was because when I was human people always cheat because they drink too much and do dumb shit.

Then again we aren't in that type of relationship, so I shouldn't care as much as I do, but do I care at all? I'll visit that topic another day.

I felt someone tapping my head and turned to see Mia looking at me with a smile. With a sigh, I stopped using Vector Manipulation to hear her. I was using it because they were entirely too loud, but I didn't want to ruin their fun.

"Hmm?" I hummed.

"Nothing, I was just wondering what you were reading." She asked as she sat down. I could tell that was a lie, but I answered anyways.

"A theory book. Is there something you wanted?"

"No, I was just curious."

After a bit of silence I nodded and continued reading. As I was reading I noticed she was just looking at me. Occasionally I was peeking at her to see if she would ask her real question, but she never did.

I sighed and closed my book and turned my body in her direction, giving her my full attention.

"Ask your question."

"…I was wondering why you kept looking at me. Shuna and the rest said I should come check on you." She said.

"Well I'm straight, the music just loud." That was a straight lie.

"Well maybe you should come out with everyone else?"

"Nah I'm good, you can go enjoy yourself though. I'll be here when it's over." I said as I leaned back in the chair I was sitting in.

"I see." She said lowly. I felt like a did something wrong now, but before I could act on it she grabbed my face and kissed my cheek.

"Huh?"

I was confused. My eyebrows furrowed as I looked at her with my head tilted. It was clear that I was confused. It was like my brain just short circuited.

I was trying to run down some possibilities on why she would kiss me. I'm not mad, sad, nor hurt. I feel like I normally do, so I was even more confused.

I saw her smile looking at my face and her boy flashed a bright light and she disappeared. Once she was gone I slowly turned to sit right and put my arms up on the table. I clasped my hands together and put them to my mouth while my thumbs were under my chin.

I wasn't even thinking about anything. Well it was more like whenever I did try my brain would go blank. For the first time in both of my lives my head wasn't filled with thoughts.

(Third POV)

Mia appeared back with Shuna and Shion once she sunk into her shadow. They were at their own separate table a bit away from the festival.

"How'd it go?" Shuna asked in a quiet voice.

"He said he was fine. He was ready a theory book about magic particles." Mia answered with a sigh.

"Well now he seems to be distracted by something." Shion said as they looked at him through the huge glass window. He was still sitting there in a daze.

"He seems like something's bothering him." Shion commented as she looked at him.

"It's new to me as well. It's like his brain just shut off." Mia said as she looked at him with a small smile. She always enjoyed seeing a new side of him, it was like a robot gaining emotions or a cat warming up to the owner.

Shuna and Shion looked at each other and they realized it was exactly how they looked at Rimuru. They didn't say anything about it, but continued to talk.

After a while they saw that the Yuurazania's three beastketears had arrived and requested an audience with Rimuru.

The told everyone at the party to continue what they were doing, but the main executives had to come to the conference room.

…

They didn't mind that Akihito was also there, since he was there and they thought it would be better if he was. Phobio told them the whole story of how Milim and Frey came to attack Yuurazania. Milim destroyed the city, and Frey flew off with Carrions body after slitting his throat.

He seemed to have been caught in the blast of Milim's Dragon Nova so he didn't see Akihito and Mia.

"Hmm, Milim isn't the type to let someone get involved in a one on one fight, plus she didn't seems to have a motive." Rimuru mumbled.

"Talking about strange I don't see how Frey let Phobio go. Harpies have sharp eyes so they can shoot their prey from the loftiest of heights. There's no way, the ruler of harpies, the sky queen herself didn't see him." Sphia said.

"Hmm, Ah, Shion go get Myulan and a map for me please." Rimuru said. Shion left and after a while came back with what he asked for.

"Did, demon Lord Clayman have any contact with Milim?" He asked.

"Yes, he did have contact with Demon Lord Milim to plan against Yuurazania." She said.

Albis slammed her hand on the table almost breaking it and spoke with a look of disbelief.

"You mean Clayman controlled her to drive Yuurazania to extinction!?" She asked.

"Beforewe do anything I'd like more evidence. Phonio what direction did Frey fly in?" He asked.

After showing him it showed that Frey flew northeast of Yuurazania. Her destination was past that and the place that lies further northeast than the forgotten dragon city is…

"The puppet kingdom Jistav. Demon Lord Clayman's domain." Myulan said finished.

"I see. Before we do anything, we need a plan. You three will be stay here. We'll have a plan meeting tomorrow." Rimuru said as he got up to leave.

"I forgot to ask, but what's wrong with him?" Rimuru asked as he pointed to Akihito. He was sitting in a chair with his book open, but he didn't move at all. It was like he was frozen in time.

"He's been like that for a while now." Shion said.

"I see. Well that's all for today's meeting. We meet again the morning." With that the meeting concluded.

(Akihito POV)

After my freeze up yesterday I went back home, took a shower, did my hygiene and went back to Tempest. Mia spent that night with Shuna and Shion, so she was already there.

I left my house and teleported over to Tempest. I appeared next to Rimuru startling him and everyone else. They were outside of the reception building.

The ones present were Rimuru, Shion, Shuna, Black, Benimaru, Rigurd, Rigur, Gobuta, Hakurou, basically all of his executives along with Mia and the three beastketears.

"What did I miss?" I asked as they calmed down.

"Well I was saying that I think I should announce that I'm officially a demon lord. What do you think?" He asked.

"Hmm, I mean this is your situation so you could do what you want, but personally, I think it's bout time you made a statement to people that you're not to be fucked with. I also want to make a little announcement of my own." I answered.

"Oh? Does that mean you'll be going to meet the demon lords with me?"

"Yup, I might as well get mine out the way along with your to make this easier." I said as I sat down cross legged in the air.

"I see."

"Would it been fine for me to ask why you want to meet the demon lords?" Benimaru asked Rimuru.

"I want to kill Clayman." He answered plainly.

"Demon Lord Clayman. That guy controlled Myulan and aimed to increase damage when the allied army surprise attacked Tempest. Not to mention that he used Milim to destroy Yuurazania." I said with a sigh.

"Seems kill worthy" Mia said hunching her shoulders.

"Indeed. I don't know why he's playing behind the scenes, but I will not forgive him. I'm going to destroy this guy. Any objections?" Rimuru asked as he looked around.

Everyone shook their heads, but me and Mia. After all this wasn't something we got into. Plus why should we care weather he does or doesn't kill him.

Afterwards he told Souei and his squad to gather as much information as they could. He then announced that the full meeting would be heals after the intelligence department's investigation is finished.

The three beastktears also swore to help. Why wouldn't they? With that everyone was free to do what they want. The question however is…what to do?

I was bored as hell right now. Everyone had something to do besides me. I was thinking about leaving town for a bit when I heard Rimuru call my name.

"Hey Akihito, I want you to meet someone." He said. I turned to look at him as he walked to me with a carefree smile and his hands on his hips.
