First Kiss

Gorak and Dela, enchanted, lean into each other, going in for a kiss when...

"Great One."

A voice suddenly calls to Gorak, breaking the couple out of their entrancement, just inches away from a kiss.

Stunned awake by the interruption, Dela and Gorak stop short of the kiss, and Dela looks away, embarrassed while Gorak, looks to the source of the interruption.

It is Oris, Guardian of the Fortress of Tortures.

Greatly angered, Gorak stares daggers at Oris, annoyed by the fact that he had foolishly ruined such a precious moment.

The fierce stare alone sends shivers running through the entire length of Oris's body.

He had called to his master without noticing that he was inches away from having a rare voluntary make-out session with his fated.

Only the Creator knew how much longer it would be until such an opportunity came up again. How could he have accidentally ruined that so carelessly? He must have a death wish.

'Master must be terribly annoyed. I'm dead!', he panics.

Already he could feel the rage in his stare, laced with murderous intent. He was doomed!

"Oris."

Gorak calls Oris in a cold, dark tone, exuding the deathly aura of premeditated murder.

"This better be good, or your head will roll for it!"

Oris instantly bows with his head to the ground, shaking frantically like a leaf. Afraid for his life.

"I-I a-apologise, G-Great One", he says, in a shaky voice.

"Something extremely urgent came up, and I did not realise you were in such important... 'dialogue' with Her Grace, or I would not dare.", explains Oris.

Please have mercy!", he pleads.

Gorak's mood rather worsens as Oris speaks, his rage building up even further.

He glows a red-tinted glow, unconsciously engaging his powers in his rage, his aura darkening even further.

Outside the Fortress, fierce thunders roar and red lightning tears through the sky once again.

Pleading for mercy wasn't working. His master's temper was insurmountable.

Oris's whole life begins to flash before his own eyes. Had he finally come to the end of his miserable existence?

...

Suddenly Gorak feels Dela's warm, comforting palm rest on his cheek.

No one dared to approach Gorak in his rage, yet here was Dela, fearlessly comforting him. Touching him even, in that state!

Gorak turns to her in surprise.

She was grazing his cheek? Touching him so affectionately... She had never done that before.

"Don't...", she whispers, taking her other hand to caress his neck gently.

She was caressing him on purpose? All by herself??

Oh wow.

All of Gorak's anger instantly melts away at her touch. The red glow and dark aura, as well as the fierce thunder and red lightning, dissipate along with it.

Apparently, Dela didn't want him so upset or want him murdering any more servants for "ridiculous reasons" as she called it.

How merciful she was.

Oris deserved to die, but just to please her, he would spare him. Besides, Dela's caress was a very welcome development.

Completely ignoring Oris, Gorak takes Dela in his grip once again. Staring deeply into her eyes, he takes his hand up to caress her cheek.

Dela panics.

Why did she touch him? Her body had moved on its own out of sheer instinct.

Now he had moved his entire attention to her.

"Let him go?", Dela whispers to Gorak in a low tone, trying to get his attention back on Oris.

"Hah...", he sighs, reluctantly turning to face Oris.

"Fine. Rise.", Gorak commands.

Oris rises in a flurry at the speed of light, still shaking.

"You owe the rest of your existence to her." Gorak gestures towards Dela.

He had been spared??

Oris was in disbelief. It was a miracle only made possible by Dela's hands. She had saved him. If not for her, there is no doubt that Gorak would have his head.

"I thank you, Your Grace. This servant is ever grateful for your mercy.", He bows in gratitude to Dela, overly grateful to Her Grace for her kindness.

"Haa... that would not be necessary.", Dela responds to Oris, waving her hand in a "no" gesture, and smiling awkwardly.

'Thank goodness that was averted!', she sighs in relief. She wasn't in the mood for bloodshed.

"I also thank you, Great One. This servant will not forget your mercy.", Oris has the good sense to also thank Gorak.

"Rather than that, tell me...", Gorak addresses Oris without looking at him, his gaze focused completely on Dela as he tenderly brushes away loose curls from Dela's face.

'Oh...dear...', Dela nervously goes stiff, her eyes following Gorak's hand as he adjusts her hair and grazes her chin affectionately.

She worries he might want to go further.

He does.

Gently taking up her right hand that she had placed on his cheek earlier, Gorak lowers himself to kiss the centre of Dela's palm softly right in front of her face, shocking Dela.

"What is this extremely urgent matter?", Gorak questions Oris, his gaze still lingering on Dela.

"Well... An urgent summons from the Council of Keepers arrived, Great One", replies Oris nervously to Gorak.

Hearing this, Gorak lets go of Dela's hand, finally turning to face Oris with a straight, unperturbed face.

A summons from the Council posed a huge problem. It meant Gorak's activities had come to the notice of the authorities. The all-powerful Council of Keepers, led by the Head Keeper, Stratera.

This was not good news.

"Ignore the summons.", he orders.

'W-What?!... Ignore what now?

Ignore the summons and annoy the Council further? And have them come after you mercilessly??

Master must be going crazy', thinks Oris, alarmed.

"B-But Master...", Oris begins.

"That's an order!", Gorak cuts him off.

"Ignore the summons and call together an urgent meeting of the generals. We're moving up our plans", Gorak says firmly before turning back to face Dela, staring straight into her eyes once again, as if they were alone.

She gulps. Her freedom was short-lived. He couldn't possibly want more PDA, could he?

"As my Lord pleases!", responds Oris to Gorak before rushing off so that he doesn't interrupt the lovey-dovey couple any further, and get killed for real this time.

"Now, where were we?"

Once Oris is gone, Gorak asks Dela, pressing her firmly against him, a thirsty look in his eyes.

He kisses down on the crook of her neck and proceeds to leave a few small kisses along her neck.

The spots of kisses on her neck burn hot, sending heat waves up her cheeks, and down to stoke a wildfire in the depths of her belly.

*gasp!*

Dela's breath is suddenly caught in her throat as she reels in the warmth of Gorak's embrace.

'oh... oh my...'

His kisses feel so good.

Gorak moves his hands, travelling along her sides, stoking a fire along the way. Dela's mind begins to dull.

Her body goes hot... wanting more.

'Oh no!'

...

Feeling embarrassed and panicked, Dela quickly pulls away from Gorak's grip with a flimsy excuse.

"...uh..um..ah-I better get going..."

She didn't dare indulge herself any further for fear of losing control of her emotions. She was already getting carried away. Any more and she might actually...

'No.' She couldn't.

Distancing herself, she stands facing a disappointed Gorak.

'Oh sh**!... What have I done?', she instantly feels guilty.

He didn't look too good. How could she turn him down like that? She didn't mean to. She had just moved away in a panic, not regarding his feelings.

She had to come up with a valid excuse quickly.

"I-I didn't mean to... it's just, you have some important things to do now, so I-I... I wouldn't want to delay you."

He did have an urgent meeting with his generals.

"So eager to send me off?", He asks, slightly hurt.

"No...no I wouldn't dare. I very much enjoy your company."

Dela responds quickly, reassuring her tutor.

"And yet you push me away.", responds Gorak intelligently.

Gorak is not convinced.

"I really didn't mean to. It was an accident. I was just... just...", she tries to explain.

"Didn't mean to? Now what does that mean?", Gorak asks smirking.

"Do you want me, Dela?", his teasing voice is low and sexy.

"What?!", Dela's face turns tomato red.

"...uh... um...", Dela is completely flustered and speechless, unable to respond to that.

Glad to hear Dela's nervous, confused reaction, Gorak pushes further.

"You enjoy my company, don't you?", He presses, leaning into Dela to whisper in her ear.

"If so, then you wouldn't mind inviting me in for the night, would you?"

...

"ah... I-I... I". Flustered, Dela can barely collect her thoughts.

"Haha..." Gorak laughs, enjoying her embarrassment from his teasing.

Dela suddenly realises he is just teasing her.

'Phew!', she breathes a sigh of relief.

For a moment there, she thought he was being serious.

How naughty.

"You shouldn't tease me like that...", complains Dela, pouting adorably.

How could he not?

"Who says I was teasing?" responds Gorak.

Taking her chin in his hand, he lowers himself, kissing Dela directly on the lips. A deep and lingering kiss.

Dela is stunned. It is their first real kiss. The kiss is deep, slow and sensual. It warms up her heart and stomach and sends her butterflies amok.

Perhaps the immortal truly had feelings for her?

She shuts her eyes, taking it all in. For this moment, she would indulge herself completely.
