Sato-San was heading to school as always, running a little earlier then he normally would. He was originally planning on walking to school with Shiratori-San but she had something come up and wouldn't be able to go to school today. So he was walking alone while thinking of some new scenarios for his stories.
"Um! Excuse me!"
"Hm?"
Sato-San turned around to be greeted by a girl with long light brown hair in a ponytail and was about the same hight as him. Maybe a little taller then him. She didn't appear to be Japanese so he assumed she must be traveling here.
She pulled out a small map from her bag and showed to Sato-San.
"Do you happen to know how to get to here?"
"…Yeah." 'She's trying to go to my school?'
He showed her the way to get to the school.
"Thank you! Now that I'm looking at you more you have the school's uniform. Do you mind if I walk with you? I don't want to get lost again."
'Oh geez, not again. Another person to disturb my peace…' "Why don't you just use a gps?"
"I don't have a gps."
"You should have one of your phone."
"I don't have a smart phone."
"Seriously?"
"I'm not good with technology."
"Hm. You can't possibly get lost with the directions I gave you."
"I'm also bad at directions."
"Okay and why would I care?"
"Why would it matter if you walked me to school?"
"Why would I want to be bothered by that?"
"Ah! I got it. You don't want people to get the wrong idea about us walking to school together. I am a beautiful woman after all."
"No. That's not it. I just don't want to walk with someone."
"Would it be fine if I walked behind you?"
"No."
"In front of you?"
"What would the advantage of that be?"
"I don't know. Next to you?"
"That's just walking to school together."
"I don't want to get lost again so just show me the way!"
"No. Or wait, I already did. Just don't get lost."
He started walking away while holding his hand up. She grabbed onto him and pulled his pants down.
"Eh?"
He pulled his pants back up and looked at the girl strangely.
"Why did you pull my pants down?"
"I…I didn't mean to. I just wanted you to stop."
"I'm going to continue on my way now. So bye."
He walked away the smallest bit faster away so she wouldn't chase after him. He finally lost her after she took a wrong turn somewhere behind him.
"Well, guess she's not reaching school."
He reached the school and went through the day as normal. The occasional encounter with one of the girls, the feeling of being watched and thinking of the possibility of another stalker and zoning out to think of more scenarios for his stories. The teacher of one of his periods were called out of the class room and came back in to make an announcement.
"We have a transfer student joining us today. She arrived late because she got lost on her way here. So please come in."
The girl with the long light brown hair walked in and waved to everyone.
"I'm Monika March. Or wait, I guess I should say March Monika? I'm still learning Japanese so if my speech is a little broken I'm sorry about that. I'm sure I'll get better as time goes on though!"
She smiled and noticed Sato-San in his corner of the class and instantly lost her smile before gaining it back after looking away from him.
'Nice. She hates me. Objective completed…Is what I'd like to say but I've been through this so many times already I already something's going to happen that'll make her disturb my peace constantly just like the others.'
She took the vacant desk on the other side of the classroom and the students were talking to eachother about how she was cute or hot or something in between.
"Now, she will need someone to tour her around the school later so she can get used to everything. I'd like it if you could all make her feel comfortable here so don't do anything stupid."
'Here it comes…I'm going to be the one chos-'
"Asano-San, if you'd kindly show her around the school."
'Eh? Really? I'm safe?'
"Yes sir. I hope we get along, um…"
"You can call me Monika if you'd like."
"Okay, Monika-Chan."
"It's nice to meet you Asano-San."
"Same here."
The class continued on as normal and inside Sato-San's head many thoughts we're going through his head.
'No, no. Something is definitely going to happen! Just because I'm not showing her around the school doesn't mean that something won't happen in the future. But what's the possibility that I'm actually safe for once? I successfully turned away a girl I met this year and didn't slowly get closer to her as if I'm some harem mc in a poorly written rom-com. What if I won't ever interact with her again? That would be great! But I know that's not going to happen…'
Sato-San was having a mental breakdown because things were going as he had originally had them and not how things have been going recently so he didn't know what to think.
'For now I guess I'll stay alert…Or not. I'm too lazy for that and I'll just hope that everything stays the way it is.'
The first half of the day ran its course with its usual antics of girls coming to try and get closer to Sato-San. Lunch has come and he successfully thought he was alone…Or so he thought.
"Hello Monika-San."
"I'm sorry do I know you?"
"No. Now please leave."
"No."
"Why?"
"Because."
"Why?"
"Why do I need to leave if it's just some nobody who wants to be here?"
"Why are you even here. Don't you have some friends you can talk to?"
"Yeah."
"Then est lunch with them."
"Then why are you alone here? No friends? Friendless loser for being a big fat meanie?"
"No. I have friends. Even if I don't want any they still try to be around me no matter how much I fight it."
"What? Is it a group of delinquents who don't help an innocent pretty young girl when she's looking for how to get to new school?"
"I did help you. You were just being clingy."
"No I wasn't. You're delusional."
"You're a pervert. A pervert who pulls down people's pants."
"I was falling."
"Oh really? My mistake then. I've never taken someone's pants down when I fall."
"It's quite common."
"How long are we going to go back and forth like this?"
"I don't know. Until you leave."
"Okay."
Sato-San turned around and left Monika where he was planning on eating his lunch.
"…He actually left."
Sato-San was now eating with Yui as they had run into eachother and given the fact that he thought of her as one of the less annoying people around him he decided it was fine.
Lunch had ended with nothing else major occurring. Soon after the end of the day had come and he felt like he had finally successfully pushed someone away. Everything actually went correctly for once.
He went to the library at the end of the day and sat with Shiratori-San where he continued to write his book while she read. It was peaceful.
'I guess there's a few people I'm fine being around with. Mostly because they aren't a pain in my ass.'
Monika was watching from the sidelines, behind a shelf. She had gone into the library but the moment she saw Sato-San she hid as she didn't want to be seen by him.
She wandered behind the shelves looking for anything that she found interesting but nothing caught her eye.
'What is that guy doing? Harassing people online perhaps? That seems right up his alley.'
She watched as Sato-San focused on his typing, not sure of what he was doing.
'He seems really focused. I could probably get out without him noticing me which would be nice.'
She left from behind the bookshelf and went to the exit.
'He really didn't notice me.'
Sato-San finished his writing after about an hour and decided he should probably go home.
'I managed to go this whole day without messing up and having someone else be around me…Let's go…'
He had a little celebration in his head as this was a mini win for the first time in a while.
