Ambrogio

"This was supposed to be a stealth mission. Don't screw up like this! What if they hear you? Of course they did! Who are we kidding now?" Tanya lectured him. But, his focus was on a raccoon dog that came out of one of the trash cans.

"No, a trash panda! I hate these things. Shoo, shoo." He looked genuinely afraid.

"Call them raccoons for fuck's sake," Tanya said since it was the only thing that came to her mind at that moment.

"Like that's the thing that I care about the most now. Why are they attacking me? Looks like I have no choice." He said as he started running.

"Idiot, no!" Tanya tried stopping him from making the next mistake, but it was too late.

"Oh, hello there. Never would've thought you'd come to me right away. I thought you'd be hiding like last time and I might have to chase you down." The vampire guy, alongside Wardlow, greeted them with a smile.

"Well, that was the plan at least," Tanya replied, as she grieved over her "friend's" extreme idiocy.

Seeing the new guy beside her, he asked. "So, who's this gentleman beside you?"

"He's…" Tanya stopped and thought about which word she shall use. She decided and replied. "He's my friend. But you are supposed to know him right? After all, you dropped that letter before his house that day." Zinbad internally wept like a child after hearing her call him 'her friend'.

"Oh, really? I suppose I don't remember that now. I mean, Wardlow's the one who did it. But that aside, you have a friend! How sweet!" The vampire laughed.

"So why did you call me here?" She straight up asked, leaving no room for any more formalities.

"What do you mean? I don't understand." He said while playing innocent.

"Don't play dumb. You waved towards the street cams because you knew I was watching, right?" Tanya was in no mood to play games.

"Really? I didn't know!" He said before he broke into laughter. "Just kidding."

"Answer my question, damn it." Tanya looked dead serious as she raised her voice.

"Jeez, don't get so pumped up. I was trying to lighten the mood. Isn't that right, Wardlow?" He said, looking at his butler, who nodded his head. "You remember Wardlow, right? I mean, I mentioned him already, so..." He shrugged.

"I did tell you to cut the crap." Again, Tanya sounded so serious that the vampire lost his mood to play around.

"Okay, word got to my ear that you have some questions to ask me. So my smart brain used this opportunity to bring you, the hot head right into my trap, where I'm gonna kill you!" He said as he paced around Tanya.

Suddenly, someone stepped in between them and stood there looking all cool. No one expected that—it all happened in a second. And it was Zinbad who did it. "Hey, buddy. Now that I'm here, there's gonna be no killing each other and stuff, you got that?" He asked as he shoved his face before the vampire.

"Fast! And what's up with the aura? He seems…dangerous." The vampire thought to himself after witnessing an unexpected interference from the meek-looking guy. But after seeing the scene in front, he laughed inwardly. "Well, maybe not."

"Well, well. What is it that I'm seeing? The chivalrous knight with the shaking arm. Are you afraid, little boy? Do you need to go pee-pee, little boy?" He said as he patted Zinbad's head, clearly looking down on him. "You know, I hate your kind the most—no power to do shit, yet stands up against the mighty force like they could create a difference."

"Well, any man with two hands has a fighting chance, right?" Zinbad said, as he raised his fists up in the process.

"Well, that would be right if we were in the same league in case of power. But, sadly, I'm leagues beyond where you are. So, cheer up, little boy. Today's the day you die." He laughed before he turned to look at Tanya. "You care about him, right? Since he's your friend and all. Remember what I said that night?"

As Tanya had complex emotions in her face and was about to exert it out, Addison swept up with his timely interference in Zinbad's ears. "What did I miss? Oh…yeah! Oh yeah, oh yeah!" "I was right, Zinbad. I was fucking right!" Addison seemed like he was enjoying it, his voice went to all highs and lows.

"Don't kill him!" That was the only thing Zinbad heard from Tanya since Addison ruined her emotional speech.

"Too late." The vampire said as he swung his fist towards Zinbad.

As his life was seemingly coming to an end, he thought about how his life came to this point. "Hah, is this how I'm gonna die? A maniac capable of blasting my fucking brains; and another one dancing and laughing in my ears. What a life—what a fucking life!" He sighed.

After interfering with Tanya's emotional extravaganza, it was time for Addison to interfere with Zinbad's own thoughts. "Zinbad, I'm sorry for laughing when you were in this tough situation. My condolences, since you are gonna get beaten up. But, guess what? I'm right. He's the one I thought he was. He's…"

"Ambrogio." Zinbad spelled the vampire's name on the brink of death. Suddenly he felt a gust of air flowing towards him, but felt no impact. He slowly opened his eye to see Ambrogio laughing.

"Bravo, bravo. Congratulations, you found my name. But it isn't you that I should congratulate, right?" Ambrogio said as he clapped.

"What? Is his name Ambrogio?" Tanya asked in the midst, her eyes still wet from all the tears.

"Hey, what're you doing? My shirt!" Zinbad cried as Ambrogio suddenly tugged his shirt and stared at the button camera.

"Hey, hey! Can you see me?" He screamed, waving his arms around like a swaying tree. "Now give me your earpiece." He ordered.

"What? No." Zinbad politely declined.

"Zinbad, don't struggle. Listen to me and do as I say." Addison mumbled as he spewed an idea into Zinbad's dimwitted brain.

"Here you go." Zinbad sighed as he tossed the earpiece to Ambrogio. Tanya looked at Zinbad with utter disbelief, but trusted Addison, much like Zinbad.
