"About two hundred years back. He told me to prepare for the necessary sacrifice." Ambrogio explained.
"Oh, I forgot the difference in gauging time between you and I. Nevermind me, continue on with the conversation." Addison spoke, upon which Tanya opened her mouth.
"So, an asshole who doesn't care about humanity, huh?" Tanya came upon her conclusion.
"Again, that's how I perceive. You might like him based on your preferences." Ambrogio said.
"How about the other people in hell?" As Addison grew fond of explaining things, Tanya made it a passion for asking questions.
"Underworld." Addison corrected her.
"Huh?" Tanya was puzzled, not knowing the difference between the two.
"Hades is the God of Underworld. As for hell, it's better if we don't talk about it." Ambrogio said with a hint of terror in his face.
"Got it." She did not ask any further after seeing his ghastly face. As a matter of fact, none of them did. And thus began the five minutes of doom.
Finally, Addison broke the ice and talked. "Well, I got our tickets to Greece. The flight's on the weekend, so start packing." He sweated as he thought of the money spent. "Hah, I'm nearly broke now." He thought to himself.
"You should've asked me. I would've helped." Ambrogio looked at him with a bit of sorrow. The sadness in Addison's eyes was pretty visible.
"Don't worry. There'll always be another day. Help me then." Addison gave a thumbs up.
Ambrogio smiled. Suddenly, he thought of something. "Ah, by the way, I'll be gone for a bit." He proclaimed loud enough for the entire table to hear, which was not that big to begin with. It shocked none but one.
"What happened?" Addison asked.
"I got to do some stuff before leaving this place. Cut the ties, you know?" Ambrogio replied.
"I see, make sure to get back before the flight." Addison gave him the red light, not that he needed one.
"Don't worry, it'll only take a couple of days, maximum. I might probably come back today itself or early in the morning tomorrow." Ambrogio said to make one extremely suspicious person stay at ease.
"You're leaving now, at night? Won't it be smart to leave in the morning?" Zinbad asked, just for the sake of conversation.
"What better time for a vampire than at night." Ambrogio smiled.
"True that. I guess I'll wish you luck then." Zinbad said and turned back to his food.
"Thanks," Ambrogio replied.

Nighttime; a very serene view of the city with its night lights was there for Ambrogio to drink it in. He was in a jolly mood. "Hah, what a wonderful night! Walking alone, in this cozy atmosphere is just what I want now. How long have I been walking alongside Wardlow now? I've truly forgotten this feeling!"
"Are you sure about that?" In came the party pooper.
"You! What the hell are you doing here? I thought you'd stay back." Ambrogio was surprised…NOT!
"And get fooled by you? No chance." Tanya scoffed.
"But…" Ambrogio looked sad as he tried to explain.
"Didn't I say that I don't trust you? What makes you think that I'll let you venture off all by yourself? You could be betraying the pack, for all I know." Tanya brought forth her reasons to doubt him.
"But why would I…" Ambrogio waited and grasped on his moment to explain his part, but guess what? That moment was just non-existent.
"Why wouldn't you? You do have all the motive!" Tanya advanced forward with her reasons.
"All and none. Well, the guy in the past would've done it, but now I have no reason to betray or kill you, rather, I'll suffer a loss if I did that." Ambrogio finally got a chance to explain and sighed.
"Yap, yap, yap—yap all you want, but I'm not gonna let you off alone. I'm coming with you." She announced her intention to join in.
"This woman! You should learn to believe a person for once!" He exclaimed. His nightmare—well, he's proactive at night and mostly sleeps during the daytime, so daymare? Whatever it was, his worst dream just came true.
"Like I'm ever gonna believe the one who previously tried to kill me." Her nostrils flared as she spoke.
Ambrogio sighed. "There's no stopping you, huh? Well, whatever. I guess you tagging along is a good thing. This way, I might be able to show something important—that is for you, at least." He said.
"See? Pestering you had its benefits!" Tanya smiled and tagged along.
"Yea, keep talking like that, and I'll leave you here. You do know that I have super speed, right?" Ambrogio reminded her of his amazing speed and revved himself up.
"Right," Tanya said.
"If you get that, then keep your mouth shut." He ordered. But like any leader with no certain impact on his governing society, Ambrogio's rule over her was fickle and crumbled down pretty quickly.
"So, tell me, you're a vampire, right?" She asked.
"You're not gonna zip your mouth, huh?" Ambrogio sighed. Every time he talked to Tanya, he felt like he lost a year out of his seemingly immortal life. That was the level of his sighing.
"It's too hard for me," Tanya said as she shook her head.
"Shit." Ambrogio could only facepalm on his misfortune.
"Yea, I'm a vampire. But, that's not the question you wanted to ask, I believe?" He asked.
"You're right. Since you're a vampire, does your skin glitter when you face the sun? Is that why you wanted to go wherever we're going right now, at night?" She asked, remembering one part of some movie that she watched.
"First of all, get your head off of that one teenage vampire high school flick with an emo vampire and shit. Glittering? Yea, if glittering feels like burning, sure it does!" He replied, subconsciously grabbing his hand with the other.
"Speaking of high school…"
"Don't you dare!" He stopped her from speaking any further, since he knew very well where she was going with this.
