               Low murmurs swept through the room as the noblemen quietly talked amongst themselves. Even though Baron Minelly scraped the bottom of the barrel of the nobility, he did bring up a very valid point. The balance of power between the royal family and the nobles within the kingdom had remained equal for several decades, keeping each other in check. Although that balance produced several years of peaceful reign, it also prevented hardly any development, as the equally powerful factions could never agree on one set direction for the kingdom. Now, with the crown enacting the Accords, it would be, by far, the most powerful body within the kingdom and could do as it pleased. Even when faced with their own downfall, the noblemen within Morgania still only thought of themselves.
