The next morning, I went straight down for breakfast before going to talk to Majorri. Yep, I can actually wake up this time. Well, saying that, my eyes are still half closed. I don't like the guilds beds.
I want to talk to Majorri about the furniture I asked for and the new additions I want to make.
"Majorri, good morning."
"Good morning."
"How are things going with the furniture?"
"Yes, I already had them delivered to your house, and I also took the liberty of getting you some decorations to make the place look a bit more homely. I hope you don't mind. Here's the written documents of the purchase." She slides over some parchment. I pocket it.
"And here is the leftover money from the purchase. 47 coins." She slides me a bag of coins.
"You can keep the that money, as thanks for all the trouble."
"… Huh?! Wait no. But this is a lot! Are you sure?"
"Yeah. You've helped me out a lot, and I'm thankful for it. Maybe use it to go treat yourself to something, and enjoy yourself."
"Ohh... uh .. well.. thank you... If you need anything else, please, feel free to come and ask me... uh..anytime."
She looks happy... very happy. It's probably just 47 silver right? I mean I get that that's a lot got a, but it's a bit strange the way she's reacting to it. Oh well, she might have her own reasons, I won't pry.
"Well then, I'll go check out the house, see you around Majorri."
"Oh yes, have a nice day. Here's your key."
I turn back around, "Oh, thank you. Almost forgot about this." I take a moment to think. Feels like I'm forgetting something…
"Oh right, Majorri, I just remembered. I want an out house in the back yard and a room to shower in. Do you know anyone who can build that for me?"
"Umm... if you want a shower room and an out house built, I can arrange to have it built for you, but it will take some time. And after the out house is built, you'll need to pay monthly for people to come and collect the waste."
"Ok." I put a small bag of gold on the table. "Is there anyway I can help speed up the process?"
"Uhh.. yes, of course! I'll put it in as a priority order!"
"Hum hum." I nod. "Why do you look so flustered? Calm down."
Majorri, "Right, right." She takes a deep breath. "Thank you. I'll have your order done as soon as I can."
"Thank you, I appreciate it."
Now let's go check out my new house and see how it's lookin.
I say goodbye to Majorri and start making my way to the house. The road's a bit busier than it was yesterday, probably because it's still morning.
I can see some people pushing carts filled with goods, on their way to the market district. Others are carrying their goods in straw baskets on their backs. And some only carry small bags on their side, similar to myself. Maybe to do some shopping for the day.
I walked down the same gravel road, made the same left turn and there it stood. Unlike yesterday, it looks quite welcoming this time.
Two potted with green plants that I've never seen before, one on each side of the door, give color to the otherwise bland looking wall. A door mat also adds to the welcoming atmosphere.
It looks like she even dusted the place for me.
As I walk inside...
*ping*
Hmm...?
'Achievement Unlocked: 'Home Sweet Home' '
This is one of the achievements in the game. But I thought I already had it?
Back in the game, every player could buy a house in the starting city if they had enough money. The house gives them access to a storage and other features.
However, the house that players could buy was the same house, and it wasn't customizable.
Instead, after players buy a house, they get a pocket dimension where they can build their actual house, and it's accessible through the house in the city.
So now that I have the achievement again, does that mean I can go to my pocket dimension house?
Oh! I can. My menu now has the option 'Return Home'. Alright let's go, I'll check this place out later.
As I click the button, just like in the game, my body turns into blue light, my vision fades, and when they return, I was there. The house I built in the game.
A modest sized single floor home with red tiled roofs and skin tone walls. Three glass windows with wooden frames, two looking into the living room, and another, the kitchen. Through them you can see the polished wood planked floor.
To the right side of the house is a small field decorated with flowers and lots of greenery. In the middle of the field is a table with an umbrella, surrounded by metal chairs and there's even a BBQ grill and cooler box next to the table.
Along with being a recreational area where I spend time with my in game friends, this field also serves as a garden, and it seems like all the vegetables I planted are still here.
Yep, this is the house alright.
I walk through the door straight into a big living room. There, two big wooded couches sit underneath the two windows, and in the middle of the couches is a big coffee table atop a simple rug.
The room is decorated with various potted plants and pictures, and thanks to my friends help in decorating, it looks very inviting.
I lays down on the crouch, and take in the familiar sensation. It's a good feeling. Let's see if the kitchen still has any coffee...
Ohhhh! It does! This is great!
I made myself some coffee, set the weather to a soft, orange sunset and spend some time enjoying my coffee in the living room.
The soft light shines through the windows, touching the dark wood below, creating a relaxing, rustic atmosphere in the room. The perfect ambient for coffee time. *sips*
Now if only I had some snacks to go with this coffee…
Sigh… you can't ask for everything…
I want butter cookies… *sips*
After enjoying my coffee, I set the weather back and I walked around a bit. Taking in all the nostalgia from the other rooms in the house.
My bed room is especially pleasing, with a window facing north as to not bland me every time I wake up. I never actually got to sleep here tho.
The bed itself also looks very nice with a dark brown, fluffy fur blanket on top. The mattress is pretty standard, but the blanket on the other hand is very, and I mean very, soft.
It gives off a very nostalgic scent and as I run my hand over it, it feels like cloud. Slightly cold, yet very welcoming. The long, soft stands of fur makes themselves known, but offer no resistance.
If I hadn't just had my coffee I would be on the bed taking a nap by now.
The last room is the storage room under the house.
I say it's a room, but in actuality it's just a door in the basement that can't be entered.
Once I click on the door, a list of all the things I've stored in here pops up.
Steel Drake Daorins scale-plates, Robe of Starry nights, Edgy black hoodie, Spectral fold wings, Iron, Damascus, Mithiral, Orichalchum, Revival rune, all of my equipment are here as well as items I planed to sell.
Now I'm in this world, but I don't know a lot about it yet, so I want to take all this stuff with me. Just to be safe.
The problem is I only have 150 slots in my inventory, and my storage is filled to the brim with stuff. I still have some 'Special Currency' left and I can use that to upgrade my inventory, so I'll do that.
I'll upgrade it to... let's say 500 slots. That leaves me with 203 'Special Currency', I'll save them for now, I might need them for something else in the future.
I'll take all of my essential equipment, some items and some consumables, especially these Revival Runes, it might come in real handy.
Revival Rune Takes 1 slot
Max Carry: 3
Can revive allies at half resources up to 1 minute after death.
I'm really excited to have all my equipment back. Up until now I've only had my Archer equipment and a dagger. Now I can use every one of my classes again, but I'm especially excited for this.
'Spectral fold Wings'
My Magical Catalyst with an 'Elemental shard' attached to it. Normally magical weapons can only have access to one element. But if you enchant an 'Elemental shard' on to one of the enchantment slots, you can choose any of the 8 elements before entering a fight.
I can't wait to see what I can do with this here.
After getting all the stuff I wanted, I spent a bit more time to relax in my pocket house before going back to the real house.
As I click the button 'Go Adventure', the same thing happened.
My body turned into blue light and my vision fades, when it returns, I find myself standing in the exact corridor I teleported from.
Well, that's great to know. Now let's do what I actually came here to do, and check out the house.
Immediately I can see a wooden couch, put up against stairs staircase and a small cupboard right beside it, next to the storage room door.
As I turn to my left, I can see the table now has a flower vase in its center, and it is now also covered with a grassy green sheet. The chairs are also different. These ones have navy blue cushions on them.
Now that I take a closer look. Both the table and the chairs are new. And aren't they made of really good wood? They feel solid to the knock.
There are also a lot more small decorations around the house. It's only a subtle difference, but the atmosphere feels brighter than it was before. More homely, more welcoming.
As I turn to look in the once empty kitchen, I can see pots, pans, knives and many more utensils hung on the wall.
One of the cabinets, contain all the wooden plates, spoons and forks, another has a mortar and pestle, and a cutting board.
She even got me some fire wood for the kitchen.
From what I can see through the window, the backyard looks about the same as it was yesterday. I'll have to fix that myself at some point.
Didn't Alice and Gravel say they were coming over?
Lastly, the bed rooms.
I went up the stairs and as I entered the first room, the first thing I notice is that there's a large wooden dresser now, on the wall to my right, opposite the window. Also in the right corner of the room is a small, round coffee table with two chairs.
It looks antique. I wonder how she got all this with the amount of money I gave her. These look expensive.
The bed is covered with a white sheet and a navy blue blanket, and at the head of the bed there are two white pillows. These are all new items.
Theres nothing special tho, just a standard bedroom. I went to check the other room too, and everything was the same as the previous, except that the window faces the street instead of the back yard.
Guess I'll pick this room then. For the view.
Having been satisfied with the rooms, I walk back out the door, and it's at this time that I hear knocking coming from the front door. "Coming!"
