Mission Objective

Jake tried to ignore the implication of Mohammed testing abilities on him and went to follow Mohammed to the stairway.

When walking to the stairway, they find the long walk surprisingly leisurely. Their emotions were kept fairly in check and they found the silence enjoyable. They've never had such calm before .

The calm before the storm…

The stairs are all made of what seems to be a very reflective white marble, yet it has mixes of deep dark black. The black so dark that it looks like if you stepped there you'd fall into nothingness forever.

And hence, the kids avoid it subconsciously and step on the other patches. The terrifying unknown normally doesn't seem like a fun explorable concept to most kids.

Jake and Mohammed walk up the dizzying amount of stairs with Jake visibly tired and Mohammed puzzled on the amount of stairs.

Nevertheless, they soon finish after around 10 breaks in between. and step on the new floor. Much wider than the previous floor, the place is slightly foggy. The borders clearly visible in the previous floor are only barely visible from the distance they're in and that's only because of its clear red. The ceiling brings the feeling they're in a large dome with the pendetive being wide enough to connect arches that can cover an entire city. That being said, the ceiling's height is immense enough for the kids to not even be able to notice that too clearly.

And it seems that the arches really do cover a city. There are buildings form a clear grid planned city with roads made of cobblestone. Each of the buildings are made of stone and mortar with a clear old design from at least the 1700s.

"So uh, where you wanna go? I don't think we gotta go everywhere." Mohammed asks Jake.

Jake starts looking around. The only thing that catches his eye is the staircase entrance. He looks at the buildings, their structure, the material, and tries looking for any other possible clues.

While walking slowly through the roads with Mohammed, Jake starts thinking, 'Considering we're in a game and considering we just died, this game should not be normal.. not normal.. not... So, the staircase it is. Let's check around that.'

They both only left through the entrance so the behind hasn't been checked.

"Alright let's check the stairway again." Jake tells Mohammed.

Mohammed just looks at Jake and does an indiscernible nod in agreement.

The stair entrance was like a tunnel going down and there was an archway with streaks of red and the original marble looking substance.

Both Jake and Mohammed peek into the entrance again. Then, Mohammed, wondering if they would be allowed to go back down, reaches his hand out to put through the entrance. He doesn't find any border, so his hand just fully stretches out through the entrance.

"Ok, so we could probably go down the stairs, back to that room. Do you want to test it out?" Mohammed asks.

Jake starts shuddering at the thought of coming up those stairs again.

"N-No, I'm okay. I'll just stay on this floor."

"Alright, whatever, let's check out the back then." Mohammed shrugs.

They walk to the back. There they find that it's round like a turtle shell to cover the entrance. But when they go to the exact behind of the entrance, they find an LCD screen come up from out of the inside of the shell.

Mohammed looks at Jake and says, "I don't know what this shit means, but it sounds really stupid."

Jake just sighs and nods in agreement. Then thinking of something, he decides to bring it up to Mohammed. "We have to survive for 3 days, right? So we can just live in one of those houses and eat their food. I don't think any one else is here, too. We could find some good food, too."

They both simultaneously look at the numerous houses and think about all of the good things they can possibly find.

Mohammed grins and starts a stride to the house closest to them.

Jake watches by his side and chuckles. 'It's too easy to get this guy excited.'

He, then follows after Mohammed. 'I'm sure this house is going to give us many challenges, though. We just died! How are we not going to face any challenges to come back to life?'
