Breaking Through

As usual, Alex was the one to lead the charge. The moment he stepped forward and ran towards the monster's ranks roaring like a battle-crazed maniac the slayers of haven followed behind him. This line of monsters at the Southwestern Entrance of the walls that surrounded the Airport was well defended, and the monsters who crashed against were on the receiving end of a particularly brutal thrashing by the valiant defenders.

As their ranks dwindled by the second, fear entered the eyes of the various monsters which comprised the formation. However, before they could attempt to flee they noticed that they were being attacked from behind. Just how did the natives to this world manage to encircle them? The monsters at the Southwest Entrance were engaged on two fronts, and their already desperate ranks began thinning.
