Settling In

After entering the sanctuary of the Airport, the siege still raged on. It would likely last for weeks, if not months. However, the defense mounted by the Airport's forces was secure enough for now. Besides, Alex had more important things to worry about; he had not seen Emily in some time and was worried about how she was holding up during the siege.

However, his first order of business was getting the refugees from Haven settled in; this was not an easy task as most of what could be considered authorities in this scavengers sanctuary were busy overseeing the defenses. Seeing as how this was an Emergency, they quickly entered C-Gate, where Alex and his party found that the area that had been their home for the last couple of months was almost entirely vacant. Many of the refugees who were normally found lounging about were nowhere to be found. This immediately caused a sour taste in the back of Alex's throat, as he could imagine the reason for this.
