Training the Initiates

The silver sun shone down upon the field below in it, the gladiators and the new initiates trained together. Alex, the most accomplished gladiator among the ranks, was sent to train with the most promising of the initiates. In doing so, he was ruthlessly displaying his power. At the moment, an initiate was training with dual training swords like himself and was trying to break through Alex's defenses. However, the blonde-haired youth easily deflected the oncoming strikes of the initiate while viciously counter-attacking, with each slash hitting the mark on the unrefined body of the young man in front of him. 

Stinging with paid, the young man staggered back, leaving an opening in which Alex took advantage of to launch a finishing strike with the pommel of his training sword, clacking it against the temple of the young man, instantly dropping him to the floor. Though the man was not unconscious, he merely lost control of his legs as his brain jarred from the impact.
