Throughout the training of the new initiates, Alex and the other gladiators continued to bully the newcomers while fighting in the arena. Though Alex had not fought since the event with the Shadowmane, the day for him to step into the arena once more was rapidly approaching. During the days that followed, he would continue to instruct the purple-haired woman who constantly tried to get Alex to talk about himself, but as the days passed, Alex continued to best her in every bet they had. Since Alex was unwilling to state his real name, and the slavemaster forbade others to use his human name, she also did not speak her name.
