What happens when fantasy meets reality? Alex, a college student and regional MMA fighter, witnesses civilization's death as a fantastical apocalypse befalls the Earth. With a lack of electricity and a rapidly changing world, humans find themselves relying on a mysterious RPG-like system to combat the various monsters who have found themselves vying for supremacy with the native humans over this Fractured World.

<p>Alex was quickly thrust into the pit again; this time, his opponent was a pack of high-level gnolls. Though they were substantially weaker than Alex, together in a group of six, they formed a powerful team. Apparently, these battles weren't filled with 1v1 fights. As such, Alex quickly found himself surrounded by the gnolls when the horn blew.  </p>

<p>Completely encapsulated on all sides, the gnolls attacked as a team. However, Alex was currently beyond max stamina and could afford to take the hits. As such willing endangered himself to line up devastating blows to his enemy. Before long, a spear was thrust into his ribcage. However, the moment the gnoll did so, Alex advanced his body through the spear's shaft to close the distance. The spear protruded completely beyond Alex's body, and yet despite the immense pain he was suffering from the foreign object lodged within his abdomen, the youth pushed through, closing the distance between him and his enemy.</p>
