What happens when fantasy meets reality? Alex, a college student and regional MMA fighter, witnesses civilization's death as a fantastical apocalypse befalls the Earth. With a lack of electricity and a rapidly changing world, humans find themselves relying on a mysterious RPG-like system to combat the various monsters who have found themselves vying for supremacy with the native humans over this Fractured World.

Alex awoke late in the afternoon when he finally rose from his bed. Neither of the two women who usually accompanied him was nearby. Thus he had the room to himself; as such, he quickly got dressed before heading down to the office area of Queen. When he knocked on the door, the woman opened it and smiled at him.

"So you're finally up, I have to say, I'm having a hard time walking after last night..."

Alex merely scoffed at her remark before forcing his way into the room. After sitting down at the table in her office, he asked Queen about the job she wanted him to fulfill.

"So, what kind of work do you have for me?"

Queen smiled, and passed a file to Alex, and allowed him to read through it while she summarized the job.
