They're on the plane to City K. The trio had prepared everything. Their travel and moving are like another day to the grocery.
The plane landed, and now they're on their way to their new apartment. The apartment was so spacious with three big bedrooms, one for each and two middle-sized rooms. Nathan is an expert when it comes to this thing. The girl never has to lift a finger. The two extra rooms are definitely made for storage and other 'necessities' for security purposes.
Nathan made new identities for all of them. So all Flora and Steph have to do with this unique situation is to tidy up the house and scout out their neighborhood when they first arrive.
"Ahhhh…. My back hurts so bad." Stephanie whined as she collapsed on her new couch.
"Stop your whining, Steph. You only help us bringing two bags while Flora and I handle our luggage and the rest of your stuff."
"Haha! This is calling the perks of being the youngest! Besides, my puppy dog eyes will always work on you, Nate." Steph laughed.
"F*ck off. Since when your eyes work on me. I hate your eyes, Steph." He walks into the new apartment.
"Ok, now come here and get your suitcase." Flora walks in after Nate.
"Yes, Flower Goddess. Gee, how could you even manage yourself carrying the heavy luggage and looking so pretty and hot at the same time?" Steph asked.
Flora: …. Thank you.
Now they're in the living room putting all their stuff down.
"Ok girls, now it's our time to choose the rooms. We have totally three big bedrooms here. The two other rooms are for storage." Nathan said, trying to grab the girls' attention, especially Stephanie.
"Ok! On the count of three." Steph said excitedly.
"3!" Nathan just ran off.
"Hey! That's cheating! Nathan!"
The two ran off to the very last. As Flora just usually walks to the second room in the middle.
As she walked in and inside, the room was beautiful. She has to compliment that Nathan really did an excellent job getting everything ready, from the plane tickets to the rooms in this apartment. She got a nice queen size bed, one large balcony, and a beautiful closet. She brings her luggage and starts to settle down.
"Wow, you got the biggest room!" Steph whined.
"Wow, Flora! You're so lucky, you dimwit!" Nathan smiles at her.
"biggest room, my ass. All rooms are the same size. You guys just runoff. I'm taking this one. I'm sorry, you poor little piglets but let me have my time alone now." Flora just shrugged, pushing her hands to wave at them to go away and close the door.
"Lucky bastard!" Steph smirked. The three besties would always be prepared all the time, so they would put the apartment and every room into battle mode.
Nathan would put weapons and hide them secretly in each room, while Stephanie would sharpen their weapons and cleans them off. Perfectionist.
Nathan installs steel on the doors in all rooms just in case. Flora would go through every wardrobe and put her clothes in. She did that for Stephanie and Nathan as well. So, every closet in each room would have the threes' clothing.
It's weird, but they once did get stuck in one of the rooms together and have to share Stephanie's clothes while their house was under attack. It was ok with Flora, but with Nathan, ermm…not so much. So they have to use Stephanie's room as a bunker. So based on their experience, they would prepare water, food, clothes, and weapons in each room.
At dinnertime, Nathan ordered pizza. After dinner, they just faint on their new bed, sleeping so soundly excepts for Flora.
...
After a few weeks of settling down in their new place, Steph came down for breakfast in the early morning. She saw Flora already sitting, eating hers, and was on her new bought laptop.
"I found myself a job. But I have to go through this interview first." Flora said.
"Really? When are you gonna start? And what job exactly?" Steph asked with the pizza in her hands.
"Normal employee. In this company called DH."
"No way! I just applied to that company last night as well." Steph said while buttering up her toast.
"Really? That great! Nathan told me he scouted the company already. It's pretty clean." Flora said.
"Nice! Save me the time. if he scouted the company already, then probably he is also planning to apply to that company too, or maybe he had already." Steph said.
"Yea, actually I did. I applied myself into the IT department." Nathan yawned as he walks into the kitchen.
"Good morning Nate!" Flora chimed.
"Morning, Flora," Nate smiled.
Steph eats her toast as Nate grab one of her toast, making Steph glare at him.
"Now that we are going out again, we will need to be very careful. I think some of them are already taking action. The councils right now are not stable."
"Since when are they stable? I feel like they are creating the councils just grab for more personal gains. There's no peace since the very beginning." Steph said.
"We all have to be very careful, Nate," Flora said. Her calm and collected gestures always make it hard for Steph and Nate to tell what's she thinking.
But since they live with each other and are practically like family, that's just Flora. Besides being a ferocious beast, she has a personality of being calm and collected.
Talk about the weather… both Steph and Nate shiver.
"Don't smile like that. I feel like you're gonna skin us alive," Steph said.
'What's wrong with my smile? Why can't a woman just be happy with her own thoughts?" Flora said.
"Nobody wants to see or hear about your thoughts. I want to live long. Thank you." Nate said.
"Ok now, we should review all our files. And I'm sure you both are already good at the field you are applying to. So, Flora, you applied for the marketing department?" Nate asked.
Flora just nodded and continues to eat her meal.
"Ok. I'm sure we can all pull this off. So starting today, we call each by our alias." Nate said. He turns his head to Flora. "Hi, Rose Hed."
"Very nice to meet you, Josh Smith." She reached out her hands.
"Fuck off. Stop killing my brain cells at 6:30 in the morning." Steph said and walked away.
Flora and Nathan just laughed.
"You know, after settling her a few weeks, I almost forgot about our current jobs." Steph wondered.
Right. Their real occupation. Like, is it even an occupation? Every day they go by and run around with no real place to settle. That at least only implies to Flora, though. Stephanie and Nathan had their own city. She doesn't.
"Yea, I'll see your ugly faces in the afternoon, probably," Steph said.
"Where's your ladylike Steph? And where are you going?" Nathan shouts at her.
"I know it's not in your ass! And I'm checking out the city!" Stephanie shouts back.
Flora just laughs.
"Stupid." Nathan shakes his head. Flora just returns a smile.
In the afternoon…
"Ok, I'm off first. And Flora, your interview is at 3pm, so don't forget to do the laundry and get some food." Steph reminded her.
"Yeah, right. More like YOUR laundry, Miss. Spring and good luck with your interview." Flora closes the door. Nathan is in the kitchen cooking.
"She's off now?" Nathan asked.
Flora just nodded. Nate just served the lunch and pushes it to Flora.
"Great! Now it's more peaceful."
Flora just let out a hearty laugh then starts to eat. The lunch tastes fantastic. Nathan's pasta melts in her mouth and makes her moaned.
"You know, you made the best pasta in this whole wide world. It's so good."
"I know." Nathan just laughed and eats his. His eyes shine at her purely.
"So, you're going at 2pm?"
"Yea, after that, I'm off to meet Steph at the café. She told me to have afternoon tea with her." Nathan replied with his eyes roll.
"Well, you should go and get dress because it's almost time. I'm out to get some groceries."
"Ok, don't forget to buy my favorite yogurt."
"I know you and Steph love the same flavor and taste. But I don't want to be killed by both of you. So I made my decision that I'm going to buy for both of you." Flora replied cheekily.
It's 2'o clock now, and Nathan was already out for his interview. Flora just finishes the laundry and puts the grocery in its place.
