Progression 7

"Tien shouldn't we do something?" Chiaotzu asked, worry colouring his voice as he sat beside his best friend atop the lookout.

"There's nothing we can do pal, he's already went ahead and done it." Tien shook his head, and while his tone and words were gentle, there was an angry scowl across his lips. Down below, he could feel the fluctuating ki of his close friend as it flickered weakly.

That fool.

"Dude's a moron," Yajirobe snorted, swallowing a stick of meat whole, bone and all, "You couldn't pay me to touch that stuff. I watched Goku scream in agony for six hours when he tried it, and by the looks of it that clone of his went at it for like a full day man."

"Well at least he hasn't died before so he can still get wished back with Goku when the time comes if he doesn't manage it," Krillin pointed out 'optimistically', "Still..why do you think he went and did it?"

"Jealousy?" Tien shrugged, "We all felt it. The gap between us and Kakarot is insane. I mean, he was already more than ten times my strength from what I could sense from him training down below, but his power practically quadrupled when he went to Korin's."

Tien had to wonder. Was the only reason he could even slightly keep up with Goku, because he had forgotten all about his heritage as a saiyan? Kakarot made Raditz, and the two saiyans they were constantly fighting for training look weak even before he went to Korin's yesterday. Was the knowledge of his saiyan heritage and the training he received on this planet something that put him beyond saiyan or earthling?

"Well I get that," Krillin nodded, leaning back on his hands to stare up at the sky wistfully, "Kinda tempted to grab it myself and have a go."

"Agreed, but going for it right now is foolish," Tien said flatly, "If we take into account the boost Goku got and the boost Kakarot got, it seems more likely that the stronger you are the more you can get from it, besides, we also have to take into account our training. If we take it now, and die, there's no way we'll be ready for the saiyans on time even if we get revived alongside Goku."

"Well, there's also the fact that me and you have already died once Krillin," Chiaotzu pointed out, "If we die again Shenron can't bring us back."

"Yup," Krillin nodded in agreement, "Total bummer."

"Still stupid of him to get all gung-ho and go for it without thinking it through though," Tien sighed, before smiling wryly, "Though, I guess this is totally something you'd expect out of Yamch-" his words choked in his throat as a sudden, massive power appeared out of nowhere on the lookout, pressing down on them all like gravity itself.

"W-what the hell!" Krillin yelped, shooting to his feet, "Is that Kakarot? What insane power!"

"It's mind boggling!" Tien gasped in agreement, feeling his hands shake, "I've never felt anything like it in my life!"

Kakarot had disappeared from their senses when they came back from the Pendulum Room, and according to Mr. Popo, he'd entered a place called the Room Of Spirit And Time, that they apparently were not ready for.

Two hours or so had apparently passed now since he went in, but now just those mere two hours later, his power felt like it shot up even higher, way higher! Easily four or five times greater than his previous power from drinking the Ultra Divine Water.

It was absurd! Where yesterday Kakarot was easily ten times Tien's current strength, now, he was easily a hundred times more powerful than him!

The sound light footsteps echoed out from Kami's home, yet they felt like claps of thunder and the air practically vibrated with Kakarot's absurdly powerful ki.

Moments later, Kakarot stepped out of the building, and he was...different than the Kakarot he remembered from a month ago. He was a few inches taller somehow, his skin which had been pale like Goku's was now tanned, and his musculature had bulked up quite considerably.

His clothing, the weighted cloth conjured by Kami was ripped to pieces, and hanging across his frame in rags, and his hair looked like it had been sheared at the back, so now fell forward instead of straight up like Goku's.

Silence spread across the lookout, nobody made a sound. Tien felt like there was massive lump as he stared at the young teenage clone of one of his closest friends and his greatest rival, and couldn't ignore the way his presence pressed down on him like the ocean itself was trying to submerge and drown him.

Kakarot...he truly was an insane existence. Tien had to wonder, where they even needed at this point? Raditz had claimed that the strongest of the two saiyans coming was ten times as powerful as him. Kakarot had to be more than thirty times as powerful as Raditz was now, at least.

The gap just kept widening. It felt like he was just being swept along in the wake of Kakarot now. His only solace was the fact that he probably wasn't the only one and that even Goku himself would be having trouble keeping up with the insane growth of his clone.
