A king was born

The roaring made Aiden shiver. He could feel how powerful the beast was just from it's roar.

He knew his quest and what he had to do but didn't feel like he could do it right now. He needed to level up or get more stat points before he could fight this monster.

He wanted to get his inventory quickly but didn't want to die so Aiden wanted to find other strong monster or system user to use his Sticky finger skill on.

Blood cliff was a dangerous place and that's why not many user visited this place. Most monster here where either really strong or too sneaky to kill, which made the place a no go for many.

Aiden wanted to secure food and shelter before wandering around Blood cliff but he also needed resources to do so.

So, Aiden started picking rocks and branches, sometimes silex or anything to make a tool. He didn't have the knowledge as to how to craft them by himself but he hoped that his system would do it like for the spear and his shirt.

His goal was to craft something sharp enough to break minerals from rocks and that also has the blunt force to shatter said rocks.

After a full day of gathering random rocks and wood parts, Aiden still hadn't put his hands on a tool with his requirements. He also didn't really find any good shelter, so he just slept under a big tree with red blood leaves.

When Aiden woke up he opened his eyes but didn't see anything. He wasn't where he were when he fell asleep and he was in a pitch black room now.

Aiden could only use his four other senses now. The room he was in smelled like a pile of corpse and the only things he could hear were some screeching in the distance.

Aiden tried to stand up but felt paralyzed from his hip and down. He also couldn't feel his tongue anymore. He concluded he drank some kind of paralyzing poison of some sort.

The fact that he was paralyzed from a poison and that he wasn't in the same location as before meant the screeching probably was coming from his kidnapper.

The only good thing for him right now was that he could use his hands. He also couldn't make a noise or he would probably get killed.

So he waited for the poison to wear off completely before trying anything.

Later, when he could finally move, Aiden started searching with his sense of touch what was around him.

After moving his hands around randomly for about fifteen minutes, Aiden knew he was in a some kind of cave or rock based system because everything he touched was solid and sharp. He also found out why it smelled like death in the room. When he was waving hiss hands around, Aiden touched a liquid which didn't feel like water. It had a kind of viscosity and when he tried to get it off, even if he got most of it, there were still trace. Obviously that was blood. Who's ? Probably other unfortunate adventurer.

Aiden now knew where he were, he only needed to find a way out. He followed the screeching sound from earlier, which he could still hear from time to time.

Aiden had walked for a bit and he could see light at the end off the room he was in. He advanced into the room. He was about to bee able to see where he were but a shadow the size of a man descended from the ceiling.

The shadow, now under the light, was easy to see. It was a baboon with a dark red face, a pair of upper fangs, sharp claws and a red line on his back.

The monkey like monster stared at Aiden when her suddenly started hissing and screeching.

Aiden didn't have his spear with him so he had to fight with his hands. The baboon launched himself at Aiden with its mouth wide open.

Aiden dodged the monkey and tried to throw a punch but it didn't have any impact.

While the monkey was trying to stand back up, Aiden used this time to find a weapon. He looked around but all he could find was random rocks. He picked the sharpest one and tried to go back to assault the monkey, but it was already up and going back for Aiden's throat this time.

Aiden couldn't dodge the monkey's claws completely and ended up with a scratch on the chest. The monkey went back to launch himself at Aiden which made Aiden fall on his back and the monkey was now on top of him.

Aiden struggled but the baboon was stronger. He used the sharp stone he had and stroke the baboon's head, which made him go into a rage.

The baboon stood up, his eyes now bloodshot. He grew to double his size and muscle mass developed. It was a kind of skill.

The monkey, now in a rage, went for Aiden's throat. He picked him up with one hand and throwed him across the room. He then vanished from Aiden's sight and reappeared before him. The monster started to choke Aiden, getting pleasure from the suffering face of the latter.

Aiden, now about to die, was at full capacity with hiss quick thinker and the only idea he had to get himself out of here was to use all of his points in luck and hope to steal something great from the monkey.

And so, Aiden used all of his points into luck. He then activated sticky fingers. 'You have 10 charge left, do you wish to steal from clan master of the blood back baboon ? Yes/No'

Aiden promptly clicked on yes and the countdown started. '3' Aiden couldn't breath anymore. '2' He started to lose his vision. '1' Aiden was now almost a corpse. '0'.

The baboon's grip loosened. He started to scale down, his eyes now in the shade of a simple brown. The monkey looked lost. He didn't understand what had happened.

In the meantime, Aiden received a notification.

'You've stole from 'Clan master of the blood back baboon', you earned 'Active skill: Hulking rage' (B)'

Aiden could see the monster trying to transform back and he used this time to read the information of his new skill.

'Hulking rage (B)'

'Multiply your strength and agility stats by the number of mana you use. Ratios: X/mana per second to augment your strength. Each point of mana used per seconds augment the total by ten percent.'

Aiden only had five mana points so he could boost by ten percent his stats for five seconds. He knew inside he could beat the baboon in five seconds if he used hulking rage, so he did.

While the monkey was still trying to transform back he noticed his human food walk toward him. He turned to attack it but got sucker punched in the jaw. Without losing a beat, Aiden throwed another punch knocking the baboon unconscious.

He only had one or two second left of transformation but since the baboon was already down, he could just finish the job after.

He undid the transformation and went to find the sharp rock from before with which he ended the baboon's life.
