A guard made his way toward Aiden while shouting "Hey, you! Stop attacking innocent people for no reason or you'll end up in jail."
Aiden shouted back:
"They attacked me first, they had it coming."
"You talk big for a beginner. Come with me to the outpost." said the while blinking to the small man.
The other two snickered in the back. Aiden didn't move. He wouldn't give in to corruption.
The guard pointed his spear toward Aiden's weapon and said: "Give that to me and come before I make this ugly. In this city you better listen to us, the guards, or you'll be miserable."
Aiden then remembered about the 'Beginner's tip', which was a book with tips from multiple peoples who had rough start in the New world. One of those tips was to chose a good beginning city. The book had a list of all beginner's cities who helped the new system user and a list for all the cities who either had corruption or were controlled by violent gang. In the latter list was a city named Catari fort who was there for corruption and violence. It was kind of ironic that such a dangerous city was built in a calm and peaceful plain.
Aiden now had no choice, if he ran he wouldn't be able to buy some stuff he needed but if he stayed there he would need to fight his way there.
Aiden chose to fight and to do so he invested his points. He didn't really had much time to think about it and opened his info card rapidly to use them.

Aiden was much stronger now. He was level nine but could probably beat a normal level ten. He only had to hope the guard wasn't stronger than him.
The guard didn't want to wait anymore and now pointed his spear to Aiden's face.
"You come. Now!"
It wasn't the first time Aiden fought for his life against other human but it would be the first time he would have a chance at winning.
Aiden took his spear with two hands and attacked first. His quick thinker activated and si he knew it would end up like this and thought it would be best if he was the first one to strike.
His spear grazed the guard's shoulder but it didn't do any damage because of the armor.
The guard's armor was made of a pair of shoulder pads, a chest plate and a helmet with an opening for the face. His legs and face were open and Aiden noticed it. The only problem was that the guard wasn't a total rookie either and he would take advantage of the fact that Aiden didn't have any defense whatsoever.
The guard rushed in and went straight for Aiden's heart. Aiden easily dodged it, those agility points were showing their use now. Aiden, then, used the tip of his spear to stab the left thigh of the guard, which made him kneel.
The guard looked up to meet Aiden's eyes and pleaded "Please, do not kill me. I was just doing my job. If anyone is at fault it's those two for attacking you first."
They were other tips in 'Beginner's tip', one of them said that 'if you wanted to be successful and be respected you shouldn't let others step on you but step on others...'
Aiden didn't want to make enemies when he entered the city so he chose to spare the guard.
"Next time, do your job proper..." Aiden said before being cut off by the guard trying to stab him. The guard's spear grazed Aiden's temple making him bleed a little bit.
The guard looked up while laughing maniacally. He knew if he didn't kill Aiden with this one shot he'd be in trouble.
'and if you want to be feared, you make an example of someone who wronged you.'
Splash!
Blood stained the grass paintings it dark red. Aiden stabbed his spear between the guard's two eyes.
A text card popped up.
'Kylian Medor killed'
'You gained 287 exp'
'You leveled up, you are now level 10'
'You gained 3 unused stat points.'
'You leveled up, you are now level 11'
'You gained 3 unused stat points.'
'You hit level 10, you can now select a class'
'One of your skill doesn't let you change class'
'Your class leveled up instead'
'You are now a tier 2 thief'
'Because of one of your skill, you will not get any benefit from the class level up for now'
Aiden's vision was filled with pop ups. His heart was racing like crazy. His hands shaked a bit. He had killed another human being. He didn't feel like it was wrong, it was the same as killing the crystal tusk boars or the sheeps but he still felt like something left him.
People started screaming. Aiden hadn't realised it before but while he was fighting the guard, people watched them and crowded around them.
"Murderer!" a woman screamed in the crowd.
People cussed at him but were all fearful since the deceased guard was one of the strongest in Catari fort.
Aiden looked around to find the other two who started this hole ordeal but didn't.
His chance at going in the city the normal way was busted. He needed to run before to many people came to try and kill him.
Aiden ran away as far as he could, he escaped by going behind a giant hill and didn't look back before he felt like he was far enough. No one was chasing him but he still went farther.
Meanwhile.
Another guard who was on duty saw the fight and was too shocked to intervene but when Kylian was killed he sunk into a rage. He was a good friend of Kylian and didn't see everything so he thought the murderer was in the wrong. He rushed towards Kylian body but it was already too late. He took the corpse and went back in the city to give it to the deceased family.
Later on that day, the same guard, whose name was Kadmun Creford, went to the governor of Catari fort to announce the news. The governor also felt angry but not for the same reason. Kylian was one of his best man and he needed all the men power he could get right now because of his rival.
In the New world not many knew, but one would get bonuses for being a leader, governor or king. If one was controlling a zone, he would be considered it's king and would get. these bonuses, which could be really big depending on the zone.
Obviously, to be a king, you couldn't pass it to a vote. There was a crown in each zone and the first one to touch it would be it's king. The crown would then disappear and show the bonuses to the king. To change leader there were two ways. The king either had to give the crown with a skill he gain when he first put the crown but it's only a one time use. Or, someone can kill the king and become the new one.
Right now, the governor was scared of his rival but more furious at the murderer who killed Kylian and so, a bounty of ten thousands magi-coin was put on the head of Aiden.
Aiden suddenly got a flash and saw a text card appear. 'You were given a title by the world'
'You gained the title fugitive because you are now wanted in Catari fort.'
Aiden, then, opened his info card and clicked on the title screen to see what 'Fugitive' did.
'You temporarily gain 5 agility points when running away.'
Aiden read the effect and equipped the title since it could only help. Aiden walked for a week in the same direction, killing a few sheeps from time to time.
He also got a crafting notice when he got enough wool to craft a wooly shirt. It took twenty wool ball and two tusk. The result was a shirt which looked to be as defensive as the guard's armor, which wasn't bad considering it was also a 'C' tier like his spear.
Aiden continued hunting sheeps while moving and saw a giant cliff tainted with red. The grass under it was also reddish and the sky looked a bit more gloomy. Aiden walked in and out of the red grass and knew where he was.
'You left the Blood cliff, it was added to your encyclopedia.'
'You discovered Blood cliff, you earned +3 strength points.'
Aiden looked up but didn't see the peek of the cliff but he spotted an opening in it. A cavern like hole in the cliff who had a darker shade of red around it.
Aiden was mesmerized by the beautiful looking cliff until he heard the most horrible sounds he ever heard.
"ROOOARRECH"
