Aiden woke up with a refreshed feeling. He didn't feel much pain or any really exhaustion. He opened his info card to see if his hp and mp had regenerated.

He was almost full hp and his mp had totally regenerated. A normal night of sleep would regenerate some hp and mp but the result he had weren't normal. Aiden, then, realised that there. wasn't any light anymore. He quickly slid his hand in his pocket to see if the stone was still there and it was, just not with light anymore.

He now had to find his way back to the opening of the cave using only his memory, which took quite some time.

Aiden arrived before the opening and saw the clan of baboon doing their daily chores. Gathering food, making houses defending the territory. They were like normal human just less evolved.

But, seeing the baboons making something reassembling a society made Aiden wonder. Those guys were building houses, hoarding gears and could use skills. They also somewhat knew about how the New world functioned, so if Aiden could communicate with them he could gain really great insight.

Aiden didn't have much to do in his cave but thinking. He had the idea of ruling over the baboons but he wasn't sure how they would react so he didn't try. But then, a ringing sound made his way to Aiden's ear and a text card appeared.

'Quest received: Make the baboons accept you as their king. Reward: Translator skill. Failure: The baboon will attack on sight from now on.'

'Make the baboons accept me as. their king? How am I supposed to make them accept me when I can't even speak to them?' Aiden thought while kicking a pebble against the wall.

Aiden had to complete this quest because if the baboons accepted him and he got the Translator skill he could probably talk to them and be a real king.

Aiden needed to test how the baboons would react and what was the best way to make them accept him.

Aiden picked up the pebble he just kicked and went to the opening. He spotted a lone baboon and throwed the rock at it's head.

The baboon turned around and saw Aiden. It started jumping and running toward Aiden, probably because it was mad.

The baboon arrived before the opening and saw nothing. Then, Aiden came out from one of the side and knocked out the baboon. He made sure to not kill it since he needed him for some testing.

Aiden dragged the corpse inside a secluded cave to make sure no one could hear the baboon's scream.

When the baboon woke up it saw Aiden who was hitting his chest and showing his muscle. The baboon looked confused and started screeching while trying to claw at Aiden's face.

Even if the room was secluded, Aiden couldn't let it scream so he just pierced the monkey's head with his spear and throwed the loot it gave in a corner.

Aiden went back at the opening and throwed another pebble and waited for another monkey to come.

Aiden repeated this ten time and always throwed the loot in the corner. He had tried showing strength, agility, fairness, skill, friendliness, he also tried to scream louder than the baboon to show some kind of domination, but none worked.

His quest also didn't end in a failure, so he continued. He guess that the majority needed to accept or reject him to clear the quest.

There was also this weird event where after the tenth baboon, the red stone started to lit up again. Aiden was weirded off by it. He didn't know what made it lit up or off so he was just happy to have his light source back and didn't think much of it.

Aiden then brought another baboon. He felt quite tired at the moment and didn't really know what to do else. So he just let the baboon wake up and he didn't do anything.

The light of the stone lit up the entire room. When the baboon woke up it was confused like all the others. It started to walk around the room until it found Aiden who emitted light because of the stone who was in his pocket.

Aiden was chilling in the corner without doing or saying anything. The baboon's eyes looked at Aiden and then looked down a bit and it spotted a pile of meat, fur and teeth. The baboon then freaked out and started screeching, so Aiden stood up, ready to end this one too.

When Aiden was about to pierce the baboon's head, the monkey looked at Aiden with fear and started to kneel and ended up with its head on the ground.

Aiden found how to rule over these monkey's and it wasn't what he thought.

'If you want to be feared, you make an example of someone who wronged you.'

Those quote from the 'Beginner's tip' described this situation perfectly. He had killed all the other baboons who didn't listen and the one alive didn't want to end up like them.

Ruling by fear.
