The heroes request

Gillian pinches the bridge of his nose trying to contemplate the information that had been revealed.

"So nara is the gem itself?"

Reiji nods "So in essence something else caused all that damage 500 years ago. Nara's powers are a bit too weak for what the records show."

[Alicard] look we need your help I hate to cut this short, but a lot of our people have died.

[Eve] Yes I have to agree. the time for these pleasantries has ended.

[Gillian] So what do you need him for? oh if you take him you have to take the princesses as well as he is their bodyguard.

Alucard rubs his chin then looks to eve. eve nods so Alucard continues.

[Alucard] We have discovered a dungeon outside of the mountains near berg. we will require assistance to quell this dungeon. the monsters have spilled out somehow. the name of this dungeon is not important right now. will you help us?

Flash forward to the town in front of the dungeon. Alucard, reiji, Arianna, miya, Sasha, and eve are walking into the town on the outskirts of the dungeon. the walls in tatters basic defenses are destroyed and being rebuilt, and people are fighting monsters.

Alucard pulls his gun pointing to the monster firing it. a giant flame magic shoots from it. it uses rotational force to rip through the lion like monsters head. the beast falls as Alucard spins his gun replacing it in its holster like a cowboy.

[Alucard] Reiji as you can see we won't last much longer here without finding the source of these monsters. the night raids are worse monsters of higher levels spill out. some even fuse. I'm glad it hasn't happened while we were gone. still it doesn't bode well. thank you for helping us.

he looks towards reiji, but reijis face is planted to the tows exit and the dungeons entrance. Alucard and eve start walking towards the inn.

Reiji jumps up in the air kicks off the side of a building then the other landing on the inns roof. he calls out Lilith.

"Lilith What do you think?"

[Lilith] well Reiji there's definitely something wrong. dungeons unnatural that they are usually hold a weapon or secret. This one though...it feels warped perhaps that dark being from before.

Reiji shakes his head " That thing isn't here I think this is a trap. not by Alucard or eve but someone wants me here.

[Lilith] Then who could be that stupid?

Reiji shrugs then lays on the roof "I don't know Lilith, but whoever they are.. I Should thank them my movements would have put the elven kingdom in danger but now."

Reiji grips his fist tightly so tightly his knuckles turn white. "Now I can get her back without troubling them."

[Lilith] I can't wait to meet this Rosalie. she must be special to cause someone of your power such distress.

Reiji smiles " Special indeed."

Sasha, Arianna and miya were listening out the window from their room. They all pull their heads in. Sasha looks solemn, Arianna and miya look stern.

[Arianna] So he's still misses her huh?

[Miya] We've been with him the entire time to aren't we good enough?

[Sasha] w-well W-why don't we just try to Cheer him up?

The girls all have their own little fantasy about what cheer up is in their mind.

Arianna and miya turn their heads blushing. then in tandem say "Nevermind"

Sasha smiles weakly "Y-Yeah I don't know if I want to do that either."

Reiji jumps down walking inside to be met by a drunk eve. Eve throws herself into his arms

[Eve] hey Reiji why not have a drink?

Alucard sits in the corner at a table cleaning his magic pistols. Reiji walks over to him pulling eve to the side first. Reiji walks to the table ordering a drink on the way. he sits across from Alucard. Alucard looks up directly at reiji.

[Alucard] There's going to be a monster raid tonight. the people of the village haven't slept well recently. the raids are.affecring their morale some even having no more will to go on.

Reiji looks at Alucard then around there are a lot of people here. everywhere he looks there is a down trodden or beaten person. with dew exceptions like his group. reiji turns back to Alucard. "So Mr. adventurer let me ask you what if I took care of the night raid and the dumgeon for you? what's my reward?

Alucard sighs looking at reiji. Rain check ?

Reiji shakes his head "Everything has a price that is the sad fact of this world and any other. a life is only worth as much as the coin it takes to end it. Value in one's life is important but don't mistake this for charity.

Alucard slams his fist on the table "This town has nothing to pay you with. look around do you not see they need help. the monster on the 3rd floor almost killed me and eve. we need your help can't you be at least a little human.

Reiji raises his hand "First you will help me when I am in need. second you will help guard the princess while I take care of your problems. no matter what happens even if it is an army you must protect my companions.

Reiji puts his hand out "Is it a deal? This is the renumeration I seek."

Alucard face drops then he breaks out into a smile laughing. "Here I thought you were a money hungry bastard. instead you ask for the impossible. Fine we have a deal mr hashimiya." They shake hands.

The ground starts to shake as trees crash around the village. a little girl comes running in tripping over the first step.

[???] It's coming back everyone.

Alucard stands up "No it can't be I thought I killed it."

The group runs outside except eve and the princesses who are watching out the window.

at the front gate is a 12 meter tall monster holding a tree like a club. blood dripping from its teeth. it's body smeared in mud and blood.

it screams throwing the tree. Alucard clicks his right gun shooting fire bullets at it. then ice from the left. the tree instantly shatters from rapid hearing then cooling. pieces fall around as Alucard rushes forward. the giant beast swings down to try to flatten Alucard. It misses Alucard jumps up shooting the beast in both eyes. it screams flailing around destroying the wall in the process. Alucard lands smiling looking over at reiji.

[Alucard] Hey what about that pretty good right?

Reiji smiles " For an amateur yeah.

[Alucard slumps his shoulders then immediately rushes back in. "I'll show him" Alucard jumps up onto the beast running up its body shooting it many times on hisnway up to the flailing beasts forehead. then Alucard is grabbed and tossed into a wall. the monster angry and beaten tries to retreat. as it turns its eyes heal catching reiji in front of it.

The beast is wounded angry and running for its life. it ferociously attacks reiji. Alucard holds both his pistols, reciting a chant.

"The magic guns charge as he chants he points both forward at the exact moment before the monster comes into contact with reiji. it stops looking behind it at Alucard it turns again trying to run past reiji. Alucard fires at it hitting it in its head. a giant mix of many elemental magic pierces through the monsters head.
