The truth in the moonlight

The monsters death heralded the setting sun. Alucard looks at reiji with a look of wonderment.

[Alucard] Why didn't you move?

Reiji shrugs "no need to."

Alucard laughs a bit " You are one crazy son of a bitch."

Reiji smiles "so are you, tell me does eve know what powers your magic?"

Alucard shakes his head no " So you can tell I'm a otherworlder. not a natural born like eve."

Reiji points to his weapons although modified they are reminiscent of desert eagles. Alucard holds them up Flipping the safety but it no longer works as intended. the guns glow a dark red along the seems then slowly the glow fades. Alucard whips one out shooting it at reiji. he dodges and in that flash Alucard has lost sight of reiji. His bullets pierces through the trees felling them. Alucard looks around he can't find reiji.

Alucard gets a bad feeling jumping into the air. Reiji grabs him from behind by the shoulder Alucard gun falls from his hand. caught by reiji. Alucard pulls his second gun then reiji pushes him. This causes Alucard to be tossed through the inns window.

A large chorus of howls echo through the night as the crescent moon looms overhead.

Alucard us unconscious on the floor the princesses and the rest all gather around him. his shirt is burned open. there is a tattoo visible. eve backs away falling to the ground.

[Eve] Alucard why do you have that tattoo?

Alucard shirt is ripped open by eve revealing a dark serpent around hid chest. Alucard jumps up pushing eve away.

[Alucard] listen we don't have time to talk about this. like it or not they are coming no one can stop them.

[Eve] Why do you have the cults tattoo? Are you the one who did this? Did you release the monsters?

[Alucard] No eve you don't understand the monsters are here.

More and more roars echo through the night. the ground shaking as multiple of the same beasts from earlier approach. All of them including Alucard rush towards the gate which are closing.

[Alucard] there coming from the south gate there isn't a guard there.

They run towards the south gate upon arriving they can't believe what's going on. all the villagers are standing there hands clasped gasping. They all have a look of shock.

[Villager 1] Someone should help him.

[Villager 2] so you go then aren't you a man.

[Village chief] Do not move!!!!

All the villagers quiet down as a familiar face appears. she walks forward face covered a boy by her side.

[???] You heard my grandma move!!!!

The villagers move aside for the new chief.

[Chief] that man will save us believe in him. he will see you through this night.

[boy] That man is stronger than these mere beasts.

Reiji recognizes the voice but keeps walking. the giant beasts roaring nonstop rushing through the forest towards the gate. miya and Alucard rush to the embattlememts to see as the door closes. Reiji walks forth but he isn't alone.a woman is by his side. they walk forward reiji stops the girl stops with him.

Reiji raises his hand hiding out a skill stone, but this stone is different. it's a shining emerald with rainbow colors. the girl take sit crushing it. reiji points towards the oncoming beasts. the woman pounds her foot in a tantrum. Reiji just points rubbing her head she pulls on his collar. yelling something. reiji removes her hand. Arianna looks on her face scrunching.

[Arianna] Arghhh who is she now?

Miya laughs "Sister do you hear yourself you are acting like a jealous wife."

Arianna blushes then storms off " I do not even like him." eve shucked with miya as Alucard runs down the embattlements to go out the gate. the door is blocked. he runs back up but is stopped by eve.

[Eve] Tell me about the mark Alucard. tell me about the dungeon. last but not least tell me why you attacked the man we called for help.

[???] the monsters will be dead soon. your answers lie with me not Alucard. I am a dragonoid a sworn enemy of the serpents or so a descendant of the ice serpent called me so. I do not know what I truly am this body this world was not my own. not until I was killed. my story isn't a happy one but I will share it with you all. my name is reiji hashimiya I am a otherworlder, or at least my soul is. I awoke here after the heroes of berg killed me in my previous life. this body had to adjust to my soul. adjust to my strength to who I am. when I came I was told many things by the elves. I have done my best to help this world. helping in a war. fighting dungeons protecting those I could protect.

Reiji steps off the ledge of the embattlements walking around as the villagers, and his companions watch on.

"After my reincarnation here. I was found by the elf princess miya. she was kind to me duely needed after my horrendous experience. her father trusted now assumed me a threat. when I got partially used to my body I protected miya from a monster. as a reward I was given a house and a maid who is also a bodyguard. as time went on I joined the adventurers guild. and met the seven people who stand above all in falmuth. to protect the city from what a hero of berg had done I went to war with thousands of beasts and some alternate countries forces. while we were few our strength saw us through until one of them betrayed me. He had acted the part to kill me. due to some prophecies that exist. he allowed himself to be taken over by a dark power. while I was awakened to a portion of mine. that man was the legendary sss rank adventurer fire dragon soma. I lost my strength. I felt betrayed and useless. as I found a way to reclaim at least a portion of what was lost. the heroes of berg and their king took from me the woman I loved. I know the people from berg have her locked away. and your friend Alucard was a member of their elite guard.I have faced a few they all have one thing in common. a dark tattoo of a serpent. his is slightly different. he has forfeited his position.

[Alucard] I Swear if i had known what the knights had done I would have freed her.

Reiji shakes his head "Merely trying to stop me won't save the three I deem responsible. I will help you..but

A monster swings a club down but is stopped by reiji with one finger. Alucard face and navy others drop.

[???] So puny mortal you have stopped my blow. That won't save you from..

Reiji tosses the monster up kicking it down blowing its head off.the body slams into the forest knocking over a whole section of it.

In the moonlight Reiji's eyes shine golden. "I will save her. when i do I shall take my revenge. anyone standing in the way will perish. I finally gave a reason to be in the berg kingdom besides war Make no mistake I will succeed.

[Alucard] You can't don't you understand!!! When I realized who you were I wanted to talk you out of it. the air around you was charged with hatred. If you do this you won't be able to rest. you will be hunted down.

the villagers look up as reiji uses [dragon flight] his wings allowing him a slower descent. he lands in front of Alucard.

Reiji stands canceling his skill. "alucard I didn't mean to leave any room for debate. I would do the same for Arianna and miya even my own maid. I will protect what I hold dear. tell me did you do the same? are you capable of it?

Lilith returns soaked in blood monsters piled up in the forest. the bodies disintegrating. Reiji turns a sad smile on his face.

"Let us go to the dungeon shall we."
