Season 1; Do Not Underestimate A Large Hobgoblin For It's Danger.

"The carriage is ready, Madam." Jane informed Estella.

Estella turned around, revealing her modest outfit, "Is that so?" she paused. "In a minute, I'll be ready," she responded to Jane.

Jane bowed and left Estella's room. The coachman had recovered, and the knights had warmed up. Lawrence just finished dining in the other room beside where Estella is and had already clothed himself. Although what happened last night would have traumatized many men, he was unshaken by the memory.

Estella finished and left to get Lawrence. She moved to the other room and saw the well-behaved Lawrence, sitting on a chair, waiting. "Sweetie?" she called.

"'Mum." he went down and stood.

Estella lowered her body and opened her arms, "Are you ready?" she asked ass Lawrence embraced him.

Lawrence smiled, "Yes, Mum."

.

"Madam, are you sure we should continue forth?" the coachman asked before Estella could go in in the carriage.

Estella stopped her movement and looked at the coachman, "If there will be any threats, I'm sure this time we would know what to do. His highness has nostalgia and a sore body. He needs a proper place to rest." she insisted.

The coachman took off his hat and placed it on his gut, "I... I'm sorry, Madam. I am just worried." he stammered.

"Fret not of the dangers ahead." Gavin interrupted. "We come prepared this time," he added.

The coachman nodded. He wore on his hat back, "Okay, Sir. Then we'll start to depart, Madam."

Estella smiled at the coachman then entered the carriage. Lawrence was already sitting on the chair, blank face. Estella wanted to ask how he was feeling, but she felt too anxious. She expected Lawrence to be traumatized after what happened yesterday, so she didn't want to ask.

Instead, she asked another question, "Are you ready to come home?" she asked.

Lawrence's gaze shifted to Estella. He smiled, "I am."

And just a second after, the carriage started to move. The knights on their horses moved together with the carriage. It took a few minutes before the exit to the village, and an entrance uphill appeared in the distance. They were nearing the path back to the Villa.

Just minutes later, the village was unseen, and the deep forest surrounded the carriage. The only sound you could hear was the stomps of the horses and the carriage's movement. Knights were alert. Estella was cautious. As for Lawrence, he knew he was of no use. He felt burdened by his existence, "If only I had my body," he mumbled.

"What was that, sweetie?" Estella asked.

Lawrence smiled, "Nothin, Mum."

"Madam. There's a figure in the distance." Gavin informed.

Estella stood and opened the carriage door. She jumped down at the moving carriage and see for herself what was in the distance. Her face was furious, 'We're already close uphill, why now?"

"Can you identify what it is?" she asked Gavin.

Gavin shook her head, "Unfortunately, we have to move further to identify the figure. Would you like us to advance, Madam?"

Estella nodded in response. The carriage stopped advancing as the coachman goes down. "Madam, what's happening?" the coachman asked.

Estella remained calm and spoke, "Nothing to be afraid of, I hope."

The knights already moved with their horses, advancing the figure. What was it? They were about to find out. It was then. They saw the green-colored figure, long ears, smirking evil face, skin as rough as stone, body twice as big as an adult female. It had on its hand an axe. It had four fingers and toes, sharp pointy smiling teeth, little yellow eyes, and wrinkles all over its face.

Jane almost barfed at the sight of the horrifying creature. "That's a Goblin, definitely." she looked away.

"What is it smirking at?" Koa asked.

Helix pointed at the distance beside the Goblin, "It killed its prey. That's a chief Forest Troll." he retreated his hand and covered his nose from the disturbing stench.

"Jane, report back to the Madam. Tell her we are dealing with a Hobgoblin." Gavin ordered.

"A Hobgoblin?" the three knights raised their voices.

"Quiet," Gavin growled.

The three silenced, "But sir, aren't Hobgoblins clever and feisty?" Koa asked, his voice lowered.

"Not only that, they have great brawn and are not afraid of death," Helix added, his face filled with worry. "The question we need an answer to is, will we be able to beat that?"

Gavin turned to face the three, "Enough with your chats. Jane, proceed."

Jane nodded and turned her horse towards the carriage. Estella was standing beside the door of the carriage, waiting for them to return.

Estella waited for Jane to speak.

Jane got off her horse and leveled with Estella. She spoke, "Up ahead is a Hobgoblin, Madam."

Estella turned away, frowning, "Tsk!" she turned to face Jane again. "Details?" she asked.

"About two meters long, fat, ugly, strong, it holds an ax as a weapon. Its strength, we have no clue, that goes for its speed. What should we do, Madam?"

Estella stopped to think. She bit the end of her nail, "We can handle it, but we won't win unscathed." she muttered. "Us four will handle the threat," she remarked.

"As you wish, Madam," Jane responded.

Estella moved towards the carriage door. She opened it and saw Lawrence staring at her as if waiting for her to speak. Estella sighed, "We'll be right back," she told Lawrence.

Lawrence's face exploited fear, but his voice unwavering as he replied, "Be careful, Mum."

Estella smiled and nodded. Although she couldn't guarantee their success, she wanted to assure Lawrence.

Jane was already waiting for Estella to hop on, on the horse. She held out her hand, helping Estella come up, then they advanced towards the three knights.

"Seargent," Jane reported.

"You're back, with Madam." he looked at Estella. "What are your orders, Madam."

"We can stop using honorifics. Call me Est. As for how we deal with the Hobgoblin, we'll leave that up to you, Gavin."

Gavin nodded, "Yes, Est." he paused, "A Goblin is a green creature that mainly focuses on speed and group attacks. Although they are different species, they still have the same organs as humans have and weaknesses, except for their vile attitude and showing no fear of death. It would be faster to cut off their heads first.

"But what we are dealing here is not a short, sneaky Goblin. Upfront is a tiger acting like prey. A Hobgoblin is an advanced Goblin with intellect and unique traits. They may sometimes be as short and sneaky as a Goblin but faster and sneakier, not to mention smarter. Although that Hobgoblin in the distance is large, it doesn't mean it isn't fast. That Hobgoblin's unique trait is most likely its size and strength. Meaning, our swords may not pierce through their skin."

"Then how are we supposed to defeat it?" Koa interrupted.

Gavin paused for a minute and stared at Estella, "Other than my Inheritance, Est's Inheritance would suffice. She can manipulate and sharpens her Inheritance, thus will be convenient for piercing through the Hobgoblin's skin. As for us four, we will focus on defense and distraction while Est attacks behind us."

Estella nodded, "That would make sense. I got it."

The four knights nodded before getting off their horses to sneak behind the Hobgoblin. Before they were close enough behind the Hobgoblin, Helix spoke, "May I confirm something, sir?"

"Speak."

"That Hobgoblin does not possess powers, right?" he asked.

Gavin silenced. He didn't take into consideration that the target may possess a magic talent. Gavin looked straight into Helix's eyes and shook his head. "If it shows any abnormalities, alert each other. Avoid getting hit at all costs. And if it charges, redirect its direction away from where his highness is, understood?"

Helix gulped, "Yes, sir."

They were already close enough to start preparing an attack. Estella chanted, "Come forth, waters of the land." she closed her eyes and held both of her hands. A giant cluster of floating water originated before Estella. Then she opened her eyes.

Gavin signaled to launch their attacks. The four knights took out their swords from their belts and leaped towards the Hobgoblin.

The Hobgoblin immediately noticed the presences behind him and tilted his head, slowly, very disturbingly, and with a smirk on its face. "Humans," it spoke, but the accent was ugly, too rough, and very disturbing. "No. You aren't just simple humans, are you? Inheritors, I smell it." the four knights stopped and stepped back.

Jane's face turned horrified, and body as if petrified.

"Snap out of it."
