James was in his study pouring over the texts he had written over the years. Trying to think of where Dylan could be. But he was finding harder to not reminisce of the days when they weren't keeping Dylan on his leash.
During the dawn of man they lived, they hunted and they found humans weaker. They didn't know of their power because they had none. Then Dylan found fire, but then he was called Short Storm. Once he found fire he became the king of the gods, and he found the name Short Storm no longer fit him, so instead he chose the name Raging Fire. The others had over time obtained their powers and learned of lesser gods who had no such powers as they did. Some gods faded over time while others like them had lasted forever. Raging Fire had built a dynasty that ended as it started, in fire. And Skyler had wanted a life of peace but soon after discovered it impossible when her wife was taken by raiders. And once Skyler had let loose her power her wife feared her for it. James himself had felt lucky that his past wasn't of heart break or chaos, he was simply a blacksmith. Alexander had loved many times but after every one he moved on fairly quickly.
Deciding that his search was going no where James sat down in the main room and turned on the news, flipping through the channels. He had just passed the news of the fire that came from no where in Paris. James then flipped back to it. He quickly turned off the television and grabbed his coat, two pistols, and a large hammer. He quickly ran to the car parked in front of the house, his house. He started the car and drove as fast as he could, he needed to get to Paris before too much damage was caused.
He arrived at a blank building with one side missing and on fire. He swiped sideways at the air in front of a wall and it opened as he commanded. Inside was Skyler wrapped in red hot metal that was twisted around her. He swiped his hands apart commanding the metal to part. It split into pieces and floated away from Skyler for a moment then fell with a clank. She crumpled to the ground and only managed to get up a little and point in the direction of where Dylan went. James pulled out his phone and called three other minor gods and told them to meet him in Paris.
Garrett was there first, but such is natural for the god of birds. Next Garrett saw both Catherine and Wyatt come out of the tunnel from their plane. They were to meet James outside the airport as soon as possible. James was outside and so was Skyler, both major gods, and both looking concerned. James was first to speak, "Dylan, has begun a rampage."
"So, didn't you have him drugged up?" Wyatt, the youngest god here was always ignorant. "The drug wears off after eighty six years." Offers up Catherine. She may be older than Wyatt but not by much, so she takes whatever authority she can.
"And even if he was dosed he could still regenerate faster and have more strength than everyone her put together." Skyler continued,
"We get it! You don't do anything all day except research whatever everyone else is doing!" Garrett yells louder than he meant to, he had drawn a few eyes that weren't welcome. But he wouldn't take back his words.
"Stop fighting, it won't do anything but divide the few of us who can still fight Dylan." Skyler cuts in. Garrett, Catherine, and Wyatt were all silent. They had never heard Skyler speak, sure they had heard of the storm goddess; who summons hurricanes and lightning. But never had they thought they would hear her voice.
"And Dylan isn't working alone, my guess is Alexander or one of the minor chaos gods." Skyler finished.
"You can't mean that, Alexander would never kill for the fun of it." James counters.
"But the other day when Dylan got away Alexander looked scared, like their plan might have failed. And he was the one who volunteer to take care of Dylan."
"But he could have been shaken by a nightmare or seen a scary movie, you know how delicate he can be."
"Wait are we thinking of the same Alexander?" Wyatt starts, "The god of war who can kill a nation in one swing of his sword?"
"Yes, though he's had trauma recently over everyone he's killed." Skyler responds, "And anyways you aren't concerned with anyone but Dylan."
