Chapter-5

Sarah's P.O.V

As soon as I entered the club, I was hit with the smell of smoke, sweat and alcohol. The sight of intoxicated sweaty people dancing and grinding against each other greeted me and the song "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift was playing in the background. The club was lighted with purple and blue lights making the atmosphere more perfect for the perverted people. The club as mostly dark but I could still see some couple desperately making out with each other in the corners as if there is no tomorrow. And among so much crowd, I was trying to find my group of friends, which was turning out to be quite a task.

After looking around for a while, I saw my friends sitting near the bar and saw Anna waving her hands for me. I went towards them and sat on the stool beside Bella.

"Hey what's up?" I asked them.

"We were just waiting for you to come." Jenny replied.

"Now don't waste any more time and order the drinks and start the fun." Anna shouted.

Among all of us, Bella was the most wild one and the most sensible one as well. I was the mature and the quiet one. While Jenny was the bold one and Xavier being the only guy was the joker and flirty of the group.

After ordering our drinks we were just randomly making silly jokes and fooling around, I was hit with the smell of the most intoxicating colonge in the world and was blessed with the sound of the most sexy deep male voice, I have ever heard.

After coming from the club yesterday day, I was really tired and went directly to bed , so I didn't went to talk with my dad yesterday. But today I have no excuse to delay my meeting with him, so I guess have to meet him.

Being the only daughter of one of the richest man is not a easy task and when the man is someone like my dad who craves for perfection, it is even more dreadful. And an official meeting with my dad is always a bad news that is what I am dreading the most.

Anyways no matter what I have to meet my dad, so without wasting any time I decided to have my breakfast and get ready for my meeting with my dad.

As soon as I reached the restaurant, I was escorted by the waiter to the private section which was reserved by my dad and being a billionaire has it's own perks.

"Hey, dad! What's up?"

"Finally you found some time to come and meet your old man!"

"Jeez, dad come on, you're not old , you're still my superman and you know na how it is in the hospital and being a padeatrician is not so easy."

"Anyways, tell me why did you wanted to have a formal meeting with me all of a sudden?"

"Can't I wish to have lunch with my only child and spend some time with her?"

"Of course you can dad. I never denied that."

"Anyways, can we order first?"

"Yeah sure."

After we were done with our lunch , I saw my dad looking here and there, a sign that he was nervous about something. So decided to ask him what he wanted to tell me.

"So, dad why did you call me?"

"Actually, Sarah, you know right that your mom and I were classmates and we originally belong from Los Angeles right?"

"Yeah, of course dad I know that but why are you asking that now?"

"Well, dear just like your mom and me, our bestfriends Samantha and Eric also got married and they have a son just like we have you. But we lost touch with them after we moved to New York. And they contacted my last month, their only son is getting married next week and they invited me to attend the wedding."

"Oh, that's good and you should attend it after all they were mom's and your bestfriends."

"Yeah, dear. I know that and that is why I called you here."

"What do you mean dad? I didn't get it?

"Actually Sarah the thing is that I have a very important trip next week and I can't miss it no matter what. So I need you to attend the wedding in my place as I can't refuse my bestfriends either. As you can see they are very close to your mom and me."

"So I can hope you can help me dear,please."

"But, dad how can I attend it. I don't know anyone there and everything will be so awkward. Besides that I also have a lot of work in the hospital. I can't leave behind all of this and take a leave on such a short notice. It is already Wednesday today."

"How can you expect me to do that dad?"

"Please dear, try to understand. If it was not important I would have never told you but it is really important for us to attend the wedding. Please try to understand."

"If not for me,try to do it for your mom at least."

"And you don't need to think about it being awkward. You will be staying at our penthouse there and if you need anything Samantha I'd there to help you with it. And she is really friendly just like your mom and she is really excited to meet you as well. And I am sure you are going to enjoy as well."

" And trust me dear , you really need a break from your super hectic life so you should actually go for it."

"Well you are right dad. So don't worry, I am gonna attend it."

"Anyways, dad then I will make a move. I am an appointment at 2 p.m and I also need to ask for my leave."

After leaving the restaurant I called my bestie and told her about my meeting with my dad and told her to meet me at 7p.m as I need to do a bit of shopping. After all I have a wedding to attend.
