Chapter 12

I lay restlessly on the bed.

I heard a familiar voice near me. I sat on the bed and just sat there for a while. Then I stood up and went outside the house.

„Give me your hand," he broke the grave silence.

I snatched my hand from his grip.

„Just a small precaution," he said in such an indifferent voice.

Blood was dripping to the ground, I couldn't stop it.

I leaned against the wall of the house and slowly slid down to the ground.

„Close your eyes and fall asleep."

I looked into his eyes incomprehensibly, but I obeyed. I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep.

„Wake up now."

I opened my eyes and saw him shake his hand. I reluctantly accepted it. I stood close to him. I turned and saw myself dead on the ground in a pool of blood.

I gripped my mouth hard so I wouldn't start screaming.

„It's okay, follow me," he took my hand.

A horse-drawn carriage stopped on the road, but there were also frightened girls. Can't they see it?

„Get on," he opened the door and I got on.

You sat down next to me and the carriage moved.

„What am I now?"

He looked at me blankly.

„I'm dead, but I'm here with you at the same time. So what am I now? ”

„Try it for yourself. The living will not see you, but the dead will. "

„Sounds scary."

„You mean?"

„So when you say the living has to see, they can't see, but the dead can."

„Am I a ghost?"
