Causing Sensations

"What?? Just from its body heat?" he was surprised. To think just the body heat was enough to deal 50 damage after going through his 75% magic resistance and 20% post damage fire resistance from his pants.

"Screw it," he thought as he turned his red pants to purple. He was going to do his maximum damage with [Poison Laced].

The stats showed that other than INT and VIT, drake's other stats were pretty poor. So, he started to attack it.

Midway through, he summoned the Skeleton Support. He needed healing from the skeleton. But not for himself. He needed it for the assassin in the back. The boss's body head was too strong for it, and it would die soon if he didn't do anything.

The boss started hitting back too. This time, however, he started taking damage. Instead of it being physical damage, however, he started taking magic damage from the boss's hit.

It seemed his talons now had fire damage imbued into it. Each hit did around 100 damage.

But that was nothing to Obcisor. He was still freely attacking the Drake and soon, the Drake entered 'Berserk' Mode.

That wasn't going to slow him down either though. Even though the boss started taking less damage, it was still taking damage, and very soon it died.

"Ooh, that's a lot of points." He said as he looked towards the assassin. The skeleton was at death's door, barely alive due to the support skeleton's healing.

"Alright, come back here." He said as he gestured the skeleton to jump back. The skeleton assassin looked around. it didn't have enough space to gain any momentum for the jump. it didn't know if it could do it. Still, it was an order so it couldn't disobey.

It went as far back as possible and JUMPED. It made a glorious jump… and it was going to land in the lava. The runway was just too short.

Seeing this Obcisor shouted," Throw the flower!!". The skeleton did as he said and tossed the flower towards Obcisor and it itself fell into the lava.

Obcisor got 2 notifications side by side.

"Huh? 2000?? Why? Just because it's in the middle of the Lava? Or is it because it was protected by a Wild Boss?" Obcisor wished the developers sometimes told the players why they do things they sometimes do.

Now that he knew he was in the middle of the volcanic area, or at least he hoped so, he chose a random direction turning away from the lava lake, and started walking.

He had already unsummoned the skeleton support so it was going to be a long lonely walk.

Many people had stopped hunting to check the competition, others had logged into the game to watch something fun. There were guilds watching the competition closely to see if they could find some new recruits with potential.

All in all, the majority of the people in-game were watching the competition right now.

"Look at that, did you see that guy? He killed that buffalo in one shot."

"Who are you talking about? He must have used a skill or something."

"Obviously, but he still killed it in one shot."

"Look!! The person in the first place got another 40 points. How is he getting those points so fast. The competition has only started and he already has 300 points."

"Over there, 5th place's player just got 80 points. Now he is in third place."

"Hey guys, look. It's the guy in the second place. I found him on the stream. He is in a grass field."

There was a gigantic ranking board hovering in the air where the host previously was. It was constantly changing.

One of the weirdest parts about the ranking was, nobody knew who got what place. The people could only see their respective numbers that would show up on their heads in the stream.

So unless someone personally found the number on the ranking, in the stream, no one knew who got how many points.

Currently, the person in the first place was numbered '832,468'. People were searching for him, but it was just too many people in the game.

They had a better chance at finding a needle in a haystack.

Suddenly, '832,468' which was in the first place dropped down to the second place. People expected the second place person to jump up, instead, that person fell down to the third place.

In the place of First in the ranking, a new number appeared, '5,982,343'. And the point associated with it was, "3641"

"Huh?? Is that a bug?"

"No way. Someone got 3.6K points. Impossible."

"Is someone hacking? What is going on?"

"This can't be real, right guys? They will probably fix it."

Suddenly, the number changed.

"See, I told yo-"

5641

"Wait…What!!! It just went up by 2000. How the F*** is that possible."

"Host. Someone is cheating. You need to fix this ASAP"

"Hey start looking for that guy."

"Yes, we need to know if he really got those points or not."

Getting 3.6K points, then immediately upping it with 2K more. This caused a sensation among the viewers. Everybody, Guild or not, started searching for this player '5,982,343'.

It had now been 2 hours since Obcisor had fought the Drake and left the volcano. He was now out in the open green grass.

Along the way, he fought quite a few monsters that he easily killed. He also found a few materials that he picked up.

He realized that 6 people fighting and gathering was much better than 1 person doing it. So he had summoned all of his skeletons to find and gather stuff.

He had sent each one out in a different direction and had given them the permission to attack anyone that attacks them first.

From time to time, he would get random amounts of points. The skeletons seemed to know where he was, as they would always come back and bring him materials in a bunch after they found them.

He soon reached a river and was about to cross it when he heard something.

BAM

He turned towards the sound and found a young man fighting a hyena-like monster on the other side of the river. Obcisor watched as the young man killed the hyena.

Not wanting to have anything to do with the man, he turned around and started walking down along the river so he could find another place to cross the river from.

"Hey you", suddenly the man shouted.

Obcisor looked around and sighed. The one thing he didn't want having had occurred.

"What?" he asked the man.

"Have you earned some points? The man asked. He was holding a weird-looking sword in his hand. It almost looked more like a hacksaw blade than a sword with its weird-looking teeth.

"So what if I have?" Obcisor asked despite knowing what the answer would be. There was only one reason someone would stop a player in this competition and ask them about their points.

"Hahaha… if you have gotten some points, then it's time you handed it over to me, along with your life."
